Overview
Hit the waters near Cabo Girão in search of dolphins and whales on a hassle-free tour from Funchal, which guarantees a wildlife sighting or offers a free second tour. Book ahead online to guarantee your day and time for this tour, and maintain peace of mind knowing your plans are locked in safely.
What to Expect
Meet for this dolphin- and whale-watching tour at the waiting quay of Funchal Marina. Once you check in and board the board, sit back and relax as you listen to a short safety briefing from the crew members.

Once out on the water, your guides do their best to take you to areas that are known for their marine-life sightings. Wait and try to catch sight of dolphins and whales in their natural habitat. If you don't spot wildlife on this tour, you can repeat the experience free of charge.

As you cruise, your guides tells you interesting facts about the area. Learn things you wouldn’t otherwise know, and hear stories about the dolphins and whales.

If the weather is nice, you can take a dip near Cabo Girão before your catamaran docks back at the Funchal Marina.

Brilliant afternoon out! Highly recommended!

We had a fabulous afternoon with VMT, we saw dolphins (sadly no whales) and were so impressed with the respect shown to the ocean and to the dolphins.
