Overview
This tour of Portugal and Spain is one of the very best you can take anywhere in Europe! We’ll provide you with an amazing view of these two brother countries, from their foundation to present times. A central and north-facing tour that links Lisbon to Madrid, passing through the Douro Valley. We will visit many famous villages, towns and cities like, Sintra, Fatima, Coimbra, Aveiro, Porto, Salamanca, Avila, Toledo, Merida, Evora. Along the way, we will come across many castles, historical and walled-in medieval towns, the heritage of warriors past struggles and the tradition of gastronomy and wines. In Portugal, sites like the Pena Palace, Tower of Belem, the Bones chapel, the Douro Valley, will take your breath way. In Spain places like the Cathedral of Salamanca, the Escorial palace and the roman Aqueduct in Segovia, the walled-in medieval towns of Toledo and Avila. In Madrid, you will be able to witness the joy and dynamism of the local natives, during both day and night times.
