What an amazing day to Fatima and Beyond! Our guide should be the official greeter of Lisbon. From beginning to end so professional and really knew everything about about the areas that we visited. Fatima- Obidos - Batalha- Alcobaca! Lunch was spot on for authentic Portuguese cuisine. I would give more stars to Eduardo and this tour if possible!

Silva, our guide, was awesome! He asked us about our interests before we left to learn more what we wanted to do that day. Then he tailored the time spent at each location to accommodate. We wanted more time in Fatima and he even took us to the village where the children lived. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. My only regret is I booked the trip through a broker instead of direct with BeDriven,

This tour is basically a stop-and-go bus to Fátima (we did the night option). Apart from Óbidos, you get barely enough time to stretch your legs at all the other stops. I regret booking this for my own family and would have hired a private bus straight to Fátima if I had to do it all again.
In Óbidos, you get to walk around and see the old structures. However, this place is set up like a tourist trap. We were actively encouraged by our driver to keep walking and don't get sucked into any shops. Speaking of the driver, he was on a mission to get us to Fátima as soon as humanly possible. He was speeding everywhere we went enough to the point that my Aunt and toddler started throwing up from motion sickness. At every stop, he gave us no more than 15 min to take a few pictures or go to the restroom. It made me really question why the other stops were even on the list if we weren't going to do anything other than snap some Instagram pics. To cap it all off, the driver destroyed someone's bumper backing up into a parking spot, then took out another pole on the road. It sure made for some interesting conversation (and prayers) when we finally got to Fátima.
Once we were in Fátima, the driver disappeared and let everyone explore on their own timing, which was fine considering the venue. Once we were done, the driver took us straight back to our hotel.
Overall, I'd say you shouldn't mix Fátima with any of these other day tour locations. It's too far out of the way to make the tours worthwhile. Do a pure Fátima day trip or do the others without Fátima to make sure you're not rushed and have time to enjoy the beautiful scenery and local vendors.

Driver arrived 45 minutes late and grumbling about the other guests🤔
Virtually no information on the long drive unless we asked and even then we could hardly hear the guy. Dumped at each location with limited info. Fatima is pointless for non religious people unless you want to see a huge square with elderly people crawling up and down the hill. Obidos was a pretty village but jam packed with tourists desperate to buy the sickly sweet Cherry liqueur. Got back very late to Lisbon drained and exhausted.

We booked with BeDriven company, to visit Fatima & other surrounding towns, and how we wish we didn’t. First of all, the driver (Bernardo) was almost an hour late! What made it more annoying was that the company did a poor job communicating with us why he was running late! We were the ones who kept calling the company and asking for updates. Second, we thought it was a guided tour. What we got was a driver who provided us with very little facts about the places we visited. Third, the driver changed our itinerary without letting us know! We felt stuck and swindled. The only saving grace this tour had was the lunch. It was part of the tour and the name of the restaurant was Restorante Polo Norte. If we were just reviewing the restaurant, it would have been a different story. Therefore, if you want to visit Fatima, go with a more reliable company.

John picked us up on time and to our delight we were the only passengers this day. Have always had an intense interest in Fatima and the miracles that happened there. John was very informative about the events and history of the area and changes that have occurred since. Very solemn and beautiful while at shrine. Then on to Batalha and Óbidos, both were wonderful suprises. Óbidos a delightful walled village of narrow streets and pretty flowers. Batalha a marvel and we even got to see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the unknown soldier. Huge complex and very beautiful, everything from ornate tombs to gorgeous stained glass works. John could not have been more informative and delightful.

An ex day trip to Fátima Alcobaca and Óbidos.
We enjoyed the many monuments at Fátima, lit candles for our parents. On to Batalha and Alcobaca to see some beautiful churches from 1300 an 1400 centuries. Then on to the walled city of a Óbidos that still has people living within the walls. It was charming with cute cafes and gift shops.
Our tour guide Bernardo was very well versed on the Geographic and historic information. We all really enjoyed the day

Our tour guide from BeDriven picked us up at our hotel at 2 PM. There were 3 of us in our group, and we were the only ones on the tour. It was definitely a private tour. Our tour guide was a nice gentleman who generally spoke in the car when spoken to. He added some commentary at each location, but did not provide us with a lot of historical information (I guess I expected a little more). We did feel a little rushed as we were told several of the locations closed at 6 PM, and the driver wanted to get us there to see them before closing. We appreciated seeing these sites, but it put us in Fatima quite early. We arrived at 7 PM, and the rosary ceremony didn't start until 9:30 PM and the candlelight procession until 10 PM. We didn't eat until we had a break in Fatima at 7:30 PM. Since we didn't eat lunch before we left, we were starving. Our fault for not planning better, but the explanation of our tour timing was different than the itinerary on the site because we did the candlelight procession and essentially did the tour in a different order. If you do the tour in the order I described, eat lunch first and take a snack with you. You will be glad you did.
Obidos was nice but very touristy. We enjoyed seeing the churches at Batalha and Alcobaca, but we did not go into the monestary because of the time we arrived. We had a very quick stop at Navares to see the beach. It was breathtaking.
The highlight of the tour was Fatima. We missed the mass in English, but quite frankly, we wouldn't have had time for dinner had we attended. And as I mentioned, we were starving. We had a leisurely dinner at a local restaurant recommended by our driver. It was tasty as well as decently priced. We were essentially on our own the entire time we were in Fatima. We purchased our candles and some rosaries before heading to the rosary ceremony. We arrived at 9 PM for the 9:30 PM start, and I'm glad we did. About half the seats were already taken. The rosary ceremony was presented in many languages with speakers changing place throughout the process. For example, the first 5 Hail Marys were performed in Portuguese, then 5 in Italian, 5 in Spanish, 5 in English, 5 in German, and others in languages I did not recognize. It was beautiful. Then the procession took place around the square starting around 10 PM immediately following the rosaries. It was a seamless process. Let me tell you, it was a moving experience. After the procession, there was a blessing of the items we purchases (for example, the rosaries). Then we were driven back to Lisbon, and we arrived home just before midnight.
I debated rating this a 4 but decided on the 5 rating simply because of the Fatima experience. I recommend doing the candelight procession at Fatima because without it, I do not believe we would have enjoyed the visit as much. Although I wanted to go for religious reasons, it seemed a bit touristy without the actual religious part of the evening.

We were dropped off at Fatima to view the monument and cathedral. There are toilet facilities on site at the top. Also a service was held at the time we arrived. I spent a few minutes at the service and then the cathedral. It would be mainly for religious people. The town itself consists mainly of shops with all the Fatima and religious nick, nacks. Not much else. Interesting visit.

-we would like to go to the candle procession-in this case when does the tour start, and what is the itinerary, how many hours
if we take meal+canclle procession tour-is that the same itinerary as above?

I would like to know, whether there is time during the tour to attend mass in Fatima.

Hi there is not enough time to go to mass in Fatima. When we went they just give you time enough to buy some gifts at the souvenir store beforehand then you see the church to head back to Lisbon.

They probably can drop you off in Nazaré you would just have to tell them I saw them do it to others. Hope this helps.

with regard to the private tour to Fatima, obidos, alcobaca and batalha, are they able to provide a non-saloon high car with high seats with a firm upright back to prevent my back from seizing up in a low seats car on a long trip? I am tall. thank you.
