It is not fair to say we toured Portugal. It is better to say we experienced Portugal. We (3 couples/lifelong friends) began our journey in Cascais which is the home to Pedro our guide and now dear friend. During our 2 week trip, Pedro found us some extraordinary restaurants that served fantastic food (literally pick your entree). He shared with us the history of Portugal through tours that included Monasteries, cathedrals (you have to see the chapel of Bones in Evora) + the walled city of Obidos. We visited a small family pottery business and a cork production company. We drank some great wines in the Douro Valley, and learned all about Port. We even saw a small private wine maker in the middle of his crush. It was classic! We went to Nazare with its monster waves and toured the museum. We had substantial car time as we worked our way north. It was a bit cramped for sure (7 in a van, luggage in a roof top carrier) but it also gave us time to ask questions and learn. Pedro is very knowledgeable and passionate about Portugal. He worked very hard before and during our trip to create lifelong memories. He succeeded!

We were in Portugal for 12 days. The best 3 were the days we spent with Pedro. We started with an amazing all day tour of 2 palaces in the Sintra area followed by a visit to the coastal area near Cascais. Pedro speaks fluent English and is very knowledgeable of this area since he lives there. The highlight of the day was a late lunch at a beautiful seafood restaurant right on the Atlantic. We also did a second all day tour to a nature park and other cities near Lisbon. Our last tour was an all day journey from Porto where he picked us up from our cruise ship to Lisbon with stops in 4 beautiful cities. I cannot say enough about how considerate Pedro is. If we return to Portugal he would certainly be at the top of our list to help us have a memorable vacation

Few words can truly express how accommodating and wonderful Pedro was to our family. Yes, he was also the driver and guide, going beyond the call of duty to take care of every request and need during our Portugal travels. His knowledge and fluent English made everything an exciting adventure. His hotel and restaurant recommendations for Cascais, Porto, and Lisbon were excellent choices. We told Pedro which sights we were interested in and he planned our entire eight day itinerary. When we were in the planning stages, Pedro was always very prompt in responding to our emails and texts and was very organized and professional. He is a gentleman in every sense of the word. We would be thrilled to return to Portugal again and Pedro would be the only person we would ever consider asking to be our tour guide. His kindness helped build fun, lasting memories that will be forever enshrined in our hearts. The best and easiest guided tour we have ever experienced!

Great hiking experience with a local guide. He was really knowledgeable having lived here almost all his life, and was able to take us to see various sights, explain the history, as well as go on less known trails we wouldn't have gone without a guide.

We had an amazing tour of Sintra, the Cabo da Roca cliffs, and Cascais. Pedro was incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the area and all the stops we made. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and definitely recommend this tour.

Pedro was absolutely the best person to provide a tour of Sintra and Cascais since he grew up in the region. He has seen the changes and shared a very up to date understanding of the National Park's latest residents of horses, while also providing detailed explanations of cork harvesting, the Capuchos monastery and the palace in Monserat. There were many other sites he shared with us once he understood our interests. We saw dinosaur footprints, iconic views of the Atlantic coast, Capuchos living quarters and more. Time spent with Pedro will help anyone understand the history and culture of this part of Portugal. The day was worth every euro. Definitely would recommend Pedro and his tour to others.

Excellent tour of Cascais by a local. Pedro was able to adjust the tour according to our needs. Would highly recommend it at the start of your visit.

We literally cannot say enough about Pedro and his incredible knowledge of Portugal! We loved him so much that we booked 3 more days with him. He not only took us to Cascais but to Obidos, Nazare and on to Porto. Then another 2 days over night journey to the magical village of Monsanto and more!!! Our trip was truly exceptional once in a lifetime to never forget. We absolutely fell in love w Pedro! Anyone who wants the best guide, amenable, creative and passionate about life and beautiful Portugal will need a passport and Pedro! He is the best of the best. We miss him already!!! Obrigada!

Pedro was an excellent guide. Very informative, fun, and a great driver. Seeing Cascais and the natural park and other sites was very worthwhile.

Pedro was great with us, be ready to be educated and amazed by the history of this tour. Pedro was helpful, genuine answered all our questions made suggestions and we went with the flow. We were driven around to places and walked in others. well worth the price of this tour we saw many places on one day. And don’t forget to tip!

Our family of 8 had a fantastic tour to Sintra with Pedro. Pedro was punctual, charming, knowledgeable and efficient. He was so considerate and accommodating to the different needs of our group, and always with a smile. He has a lot of experience on the most efficient routes to avoid tourists and queues, as well as a wealth of historical information on the sites. We appreciated that he listened to our needs, adjusted the plans to suit us and recommended terrific lunch (and other eating places) from his local knowledge.

Our guide, Pedro, with Pipefly Tours, was wonderful. He was deeply knowledgeable about the history and culture of all the places. More importantly, he was incredibly thoughtful, kind and patient. He gave us an exceptional tour, gave us time to explore a bit on our own, and made sure we felt safe and comfortable. We highly recommend this tour for a great introduction to Sinatra and the surrounding area.
