Visiting Conimbriga was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Alfredo, was a very knowledgeable guide and added a lot of context and value to the ruins! I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in Roman history!

We were picked up at the hotel by Green Deer tour. Our host was fantastic. He drove us out to the Roman ruins. He brought history alive. We couldn’t believe how large the site was ( with more to be excavated. ) He was so knowledgeable and we had a very enjoyable and interesting day !

Fun and exciting. The guide was very experienced in the region and took us to many under the radar locations. Lots of sightseeing and wildlife around the area, which is not crowded with tourists. Lovely restaurant as well. Definetly recommend.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the ruins, which were fascinating. My wife and I both studied Latin, and therefore Rome, but to actually see it was beyond words. The fountain was amazing. We could have done with less museum.

The tour was amazing and the guide was very knowledgeable! I would have given it a five but some things were misleading. The description didn’t say that the museum fares were excluded, which made us think they were included. Also we didn’t receive a souvenir photo unless the description meant the guide taking our photo using our own phones. It was unclear. Lastly it was a small thing but I feel like the guide could have paid the 50 cents for the fountains at the House of the Fountains.

This tour was amazing!!! Don’t miss out on this trip. A visit to Coimbra is not complete without a visit to the Roman ruins!! Our guide was Alfredo and he was extremely knowledgeable of the area and history, very friendly, was able to answer all of our questions and gave us just the right amount of time at each of the stops. Alfredo was a wonderful guide - very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of the Romans in what is now Portugal. Despite foul weather, we had an unforgettable experience and learned a great deal. Conimbriga knocked our socks off!

Alfredo and his tour was outstanding! The tour was conducted in the rain and there wasn’t a place we missed. He knows his history and was proud to share the Roman history of Portugal. Alfredo is personable, funny, knowledgeable and informative. Coimbriga is outstanding. We have visited several other Roman sites in Italy, Spain and Portugal and found this one exceptional. It’s a small group (max of 4) in a 4x4 vehicle. Very fun, quick drive between the sites that includes interactive museums that Alfredo walks you through and explains history. We highly recommend this tour for those of you who have great interest in “the Empire.”

Had a lovely experience in Lousa mount looking for wildlife. Lucky enough to spotted a wild boar with young, a red deer, doe, fawn and bucks. Visited a schist village.

We had an exceptionally great time on our trip! Our guides were awesome and very knowledgeable about the area! They took through the mountains and we saw deer and wild boar! Very exciting. Then they took us to a shale village. What a wonderful experience!thanks you, we will recommend this trip to others!

Our tour started early. We saw a lot of deers. Alfredo drove us all over Mount Lousa to look for the deer. It was fogy morning so animals looked mysterious between the trees. Very pleasant morning and very much recommended trip.
