Excellent tour with Vitor, personable and knowledgeable guide. We visited the wine museum, tasted some fortified wine, viewed the vines, stopped by the natural pool and had a tasting of three wines hosted by Vitor and his wife and accompanied by cod fish cakes, cheese plate, freshly grilled sausage, and Dona ameilda cake.

Outstanding! Vitor's knowledge of the island was excellent. He went above and beyond. I would highly recommend any one of his tours.

I’ve taken many food and wine tours but this was my favorite by far! We learned so much about the island from Vitor. We toured a wine coop and had delicious wines. But the real highlight was visiting Vitor’s home. We sat out on his patio and enjoyed tasting different wines with wonderful tapas prepared by Vitor’s lovely wife. She also served jams and liquor that she made from grapes she grew.

The tour was fantastic. It wasn't just about the wine, we learned so many things about the island, land, culture and food. Our guide answered so many questions we had. The highlight was the meal at the end of the tour. Very casual, warm and the food was fantastic. I can't recommend the tour enough.

This was by far one of our top favorite experiences on our Azores trip. Victor and his wife are wonderful hosts and amazing cooks. We had such a huge spread and were able to experience so many Terceira authentic foods. They also shared with us many stories about the history and folklore of the islands and also current events and sites to see. Victor was so prompt with communications and also extremely helpful. Even after our dinner he helped us with recommendations of places to go and see and eat at. We had a magical night and left absolutely full and quite content and happy to have met such a lovely local couple. Thank you Victor for a magical night on Terceira

This was an amazing fun tour, filled with a lot of information and laughs. The views have been some of the best views we got to see after even being on the island for a week. The wine was delicious and we were given a few different ones. Vitor and his wife were super welcoming and her food was AMAZING! I've been recommending the tour to friends and family since getting to experience it yesterday!

We had a wonderful morning with Vitor. He and his wife were very kind, knowledgeable, and hospitable. My kids loved milking the cows and have asked if we can come back to visit them 😌. We would highly recommended the tour!

Victor was an excellent guide, sharing much about the island in addition to the wine. He was knowledgeable, pleasant, and a great ambassador of his island. I suggest you take the tour at the beginning of your stay as the information imparted was helpful when we visited other places on the island. Looking back, I wish we had booked more tours with him instead of renting a car.

We booked a 5 hour wine tour knowing the highlights were the wine museum, the natural pools and a wine tasting paired with small plates. . We did not know that our guide Victor would change from extremely knowledgeable wine and Azore Island tour guide to our host with the most! We ended our tour in a very special place tasting wine, eating small plate specialties, talking and enjoying each others company. We left feeling like we had a new friend in Terceira, full bellies and full hearts! Thank you to Victor and his beautiful wife. Also we forgot a jacket in his van and he returned it to our hotel later in evening. Very much appreciated! We recommend this tour!

Victor picked us up from our ship, provided an informative tour, especially interesting to see the air base that was active during WW2 and now being re-activated. Upon arriving at his home we were greeted warmly by his wife, Helia, and taken into their lovely backyard/garden for several local appetizers, some cooked right in front of us. Served local wines that were delicious, while getting to know our hosts. We then moved into their dining room where we were served a traditional Azorean beef stew, slow cooked for 5 hrs in a clay pot with delightful seasonings. After supper we were served an "Amalia cake" and more wine, some made personally by our delightful hosts. We had interesting conversation, learning about some of their customs and saw video of the bull run that occurs every year right outside their home! Victor provided photos from the air base, i mentioned earlier, from when it was active and explaining how important it was/is geographically. All in all, we would heartily recommend this experience, we have shared with our friends that it was the highlight of our entire 14 day cruise. thank you, Victor and Helia.
