Amazing safari trip with Carla in the heart of Algarve. We really enjoyed discovering some hidden gems thanks to Carla's comfy 4x4 . We were a family of 7 people with young and teenagers and all of us appreciated the kindness and sympathy of our guide. Really recommended this trip.

The tour was a very enlightening experience outlining the history of Paderne and other villages in the area. Carla (our excellent tour guide) took the time to highlight the rich stories about the areas we visited along the way. In addition to being an all-round marvellous guide, I’ll be nominating Carla to represent Portugal at the next Paris-Dakar Rally because her driving skills would leave the characters in The Fast and Furious franchise in the dust. All in all, a fun time was had and I would recommend anyone visiting The Algarve to contact Zebra Safari Tours for a similarly memorable experience

We were looking for a quick tour of the Algarave countryside and this was a cool way to do it. We didn't expect to see that many sightings in half day, but we were able to get the most of a half day trip by exploring the castle, local farm, roman aqueduct, cork trees.... We were visiting in late December so swimming was likely not an option and the last half hour was a bit dark, but overall it was 4 hours well spent. Our guide snd driver Carla was experienced and was explaining well the sightings and historical backgrounds.

Carla our tour guide was really friendly and very informative, we stopped at various places and learnt about the history and culture of the villages and towns, including foods. As this was my 1st holiday abroad, I thought it was a good idea to book a tour, I'm so glad I did! We was with a father/daughter group too, who also was very friendly, the day was so enjoyable, I'd definitely recommend zebra tours, the 3 course meal included was delicious, but if you eat like a bird as I do, ypu may find it a little overwhelming as the servings are very generous.

Had an incredible time touring the countryside with Carla. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about the traditions local to the area. All in all it was a busy day packed with information and personality. Carla is an incredible woman, she made us feel very welcome and she educated us on local traditions. We also had the pleasure of visiting a beautiful organic farm and tasted local produce. After the countryside tour we had an immersive experience searching for dolphins. We were quite lucky and spotted a pod of Risso dolphins! 10/10 would definitely go on another trip with Zebra Safari

Very enjoyable tour with the knowledgeable Caela as our guide. Visiting castles, villages, herb gardens and cafes all up in the Portuguese hillside, we were told lots of interesting history and facts about the area we toured. Finished off with a three course dinner at the highly rated Restaurante Foral before heading back to our hotel.

Wow what a morning! We tasted firewater, got to walk around a beautiful organic farm, learnt about the history and the culture and all with our fantastic host Carla Silva, we even got restaurant recommendations too!

The perfect tour to see and understand the charm, beauty and uniqueness of Portugal. It is a relaxing and very informative and you will gain insight into the Portuguese way of life. Our tour guide Carla shared many insights into Portugals past, present and future and we are leaving Portugal with a better appreciation for the people and this beautiful, diverse country. This tour is a must!

This was an excellent tour to see a different, off road, side of the Algarve region. A very personal approach by our wonderful guide, Carla Silva. She was amazing and filled our day with her knowledge of the area and her fun spirit. Thank you so much Carla.

This was a great Jeep safari tour of rural Algarve in a vintage Land Rover. We were picked up from our hotel. There were seven of us in total. The driver cum guide Carla Silva was very friendly and knowledgeable. It is great tour for people who love the flora and fauna. The drive thorough the country roads clearly excited by son. After brief stops to feed the pigs and appreciate the local vegetation, we stopped at the castle of Paderna. Carla explained the history very well. We stopped briefly at the lovely village nearby, where we visited the beautiful church. We then stopped at a farm with an organic farm shop, where we were introduced to the local produce like olives, carob, cork etc. at length. This was followed by a fascinating trip to a wind mill, the only functioning mill in Algarve that uses wind power to make flour. The gentleman took us through the working of the mill in detail and we took some lovely photos. The tour ended in the village of Alte with Roman ruins and ended in a lovely cafe before heading back to the hotel. The only slight downside is that as we were seated at the back row which was perpendicular to the front seats, we could only clearly see one side of the road. It would also be great if the guide could use a mic in the future, so that people sat at the back can hear clearly, despite the noise generated by the bumpy ride on the rough country road. Overall, it was a really enjoyable trip that uncovered some gems that we may have otherwise missed.

Lots of fun , the tour guide was very good and informative made everyone at ease, and funny, took us to lots of places we wouldn’t otherwise have seen

What a great day out! Went on the tour with 6 other family members and had a brilliant day. Really informative guide who kept us informed and entertained and showed us some wonderful locations. After the tour did the boat trip and were thrilled to actually see a pod of dolphins and got some close up photos. Highly recommend taking the trip, was enjoyed by all members of the family. Gets a 10 out of 10 from us.

This trip was amazing! When there’s so many different companies and trips to choose from, we are so glad we chose this one. Carla made the trip personalised, informative and fun. She was so knowledgeable and took her time to get to know each person. The meal included was delicious and was excellent value for money. The sights of Albufeira were beautiful and it was a special day of the holiday.
