About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- yannford0 contributionsGreat learning experience for childrenFun interactive venue with lots for children to figure out. Enormous building with wide range of science to keep the kids busy for hours.Written 23 November 2024
- X8353JTchristophers0 contributionsGreat but with one proverbial fly in the ointment.Wonderful, worthwhile and a credit to the people of Amsterdam. The audio is informative and insightful. However, the experience was spoiled, and why I have deducted one star, by two rude men at the front reception. My daughter stood at the desk to ask a question but the two men decided their conversation was more important. When one did deign to talk to my daughter he was rude and curt. Was this a case of sexism or are they just simply rude to everyone.Written 15 May 2024

- JoVermont0 contributionsInterestingRembrandt museum is situated in the house Rembrandt lived in. So, along with art, one can see how Rembrandt lived and worked. It’s a self guided audio tour with a lot of interesting history, both personal and professional. Rembrandt was not only a painter, but a teacher, and a creator of etchings (what a process!). He kept interesting collections of a variety of things. I really felt like I got to know the man.Written 11 May 2024
- L4133ENjanf0 contributionsVan Gogh Private tour.Had a wonderful in depth tour of the Van Gogh Museum. The museum was crowded but our guide directed us to the highlights and provided valuable background for each painting.Written 28 April 2024
- Inge C0 contributionsMust seeThis was such an informative and insightful experience. Initially I wasn't sure to add this to my list of things to do but it was so worthwhile. Seeing where Rembrandt lived with his family, worked and slept (people slept in cupboards) was amazing. So much to see and the audio is easy to follow. But beware if you struggle with stairs, the house is not for you. Narrow stairs and lots of them.Written 18 April 2024
- michaelsN8943JS0 contributionsNo Show Tour GuideI received an email supposedly from Tripadvisor on 9th April, 3 days before the tour. This email was in very bad English but appeared to say the tour was cancelled, and we should claim a refund. I assumed that this was a scam because it was so badly written. However no guide turned up at the time of the tour and we could not enter the museum. This was so disappointing and Tripadvisor should check that their emails are comprehensible.Written 16 April 2024
- christinehU6142CJ0 contributionsScamPLEASE DO NOT BOOK!! This is an absolute scam!!! We waited at the meeting point for 20mins and tried to call the number provided in the tickets but it ended up being just the number from Viator. Absolutely terrible experience!Written 9 April 2024
- Bob and Marge F0 contributionsTripAdvisor strikes outGuide never showed up. We were never contacted. Phone for tour operator was incorrect. There’s no way to speak to anyone at TripAdvisor. Viator could not help. An utter disaster. I will never book with TripAdvisor againWritten 8 April 2024
- Simon D0 contributionsScam-avoid!!!Scam-cancelled guided tour tickets less than 24 hr prior to planned visit. I suspect reselling tickets at higher price. To replace tickets now over 600$Written 8 April 2024
- 147damlao0 contributionsGarbageYou ripped me off. You didn’t give me any tickets, lied and stole my money. I give it a 0 over and over again. Not right at allWritten 8 April 2024
- Beverley K0 contributionsBe warned - Not for hearing impaired/deaf!Not for the hearing impaired/deaf as you are only able to appreciate the museum if you can listen to audio-tour provided. There are no staff available to ask questions to about the rooms/exhibits and furthermore the rooms have no written explanations of the exhibits within them. I explained to the receptionist on arrival that I am hearing impaired and was just given a souvenir guide book to use which had to be returned. Waste of money.Written 4 April 2024
- 331margik0 contributionsGet tickets directly from museumThe Van Gogh Museum was incredible, but the ticket system through this third party site was so confusing that we were almost denied entrance. If you buy through this tour operator, you must be near a printer 24 hours before entry or have very workable WiFi outside the museum or you risk not getting in.Written 15 March 2024
- Busker9990 contributionsNot his paintings but good nonethelessNot what I expected as thought more Rembrant paintings would be here but instead we're mostly apprentices and colleagues. Good to understand more about the artist than just through his paintings inc his financial difficulties and relationshipsWritten 23 February 2024
- 692clivec0 contributionsA morning of art appreciation.A first class experience. Our guide, Clare, was able to take us through the key parts of the vast selection of art at leisure. Clare was very knowledgeable and able to make the art and related history come alive.Written 20 February 2024

The Royal Palace is located in the center of the great Dam Square, you get there by metro 52. It was a very interesting visit. The ticket also includes an audio guide, and costs €12.50. The visit lasts about an hour. Well maintained it continues to be used for Ceremonies by the Royal Family and inside they find excellent and spectacular sculptural works by great artists. The beautiful furnishings and the setting makes the visit a great experience.

As impressive as the building is, the history of what happened over the centuries is even more interesting. Be sure to do the audio tour; the information shared makes it all worthwhile. One of the better audio interpretations as you go through the building. We prepaid for tickets and glad we did - skipped the line to buy.

Go early in the morning to beat the crowds both in the palace and in Dam Square. There were no lines and we were able to view the rooms more easily. In most cases, you are not going inside the rooms, but you are viewing them from a doorway blocked off by plexiglass. There is a convenient bathroom. No gift shop.

Disbelief overwhelmed us. What wealth, what beauty and what an experience...
I never knew that this Palace on Dam Square houses so much beautiful art. It is a Dutch pearl, which (I think) is better known by all foreign visitors and unfortunately less so by the Dutch. Definitely, you must visit this Palace!

It was an absolutely amazing and informative visit to the Royal Palace. The transformation from the town hall to the palace was particularly well presented and explained. The building is beautiful, from the outside, but even more so from the inside. A must-see when you visit Amsterdam!

Located in Dam square, practically in the centre. The palace is still inhabited, at times, for state visits. The interior and the history of the building and its inhabitants are very beautiful. Audio guide also in Italian, satisfied.

I really enjoy the visit of the palace. It’s very well organized with free audio guides in many different languages (I got the Italian one) and it’s extremely beautiful to know the old and recent royal history of a country and see their places. It has also a beautiful view of the square. At least 1 h visit.

Tour was good and self-guided with audio guide. Lots of history. Can see it all in 1-1.5 hours. I loved the architecture and the paintings and furniture. Glimpse into the past. The audio is a must have.

The price isnt that bad compered to other museums. Beautiful place, and the audio guide is a MUST. The information is told in suitably short periods.
