    Great experience.
Anna was a wonderful guide. Efficient and knowledgeable while being interesting and funny. We learned things about the art and artists that we would have never understood without this tour and this tour guide.

    Anna made the whole tour!
Anna was amazing - super knowledgable and thorough. She walked us through a great many paintings, with excellent explanations as to why they were popular now vs not back then, comparing paintings & artists and lots of great facts. Would recommend Anna for a wonderful trip!

Van Gogh & Rijksmuseum ANITA GUIDED TOUR
To truly appreciate art you need to understand the story…this tour did as best a job (some is unknown) as possible of telling the story. Anita is legit.

A great tour to start our visit to Amsterdam.
We did the walking tour right when we got to Amsterdam. It was a great way to get San understanding of the city. Henk, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and focused the tour on our interests. He even sent me some information after our tour that he knew I was interested in. We loved having coffee with him at the end of tour so we could ask questions and guidance for our stay.

    Van Gogh experience
We had Romy as a guide and she was excellent! Very clear communication for our meeting point at the Cobra Cafe. During the tour Romy was very engaging, asking questions and our opinions. We learned so much about Van Gogh and seeing original paintings was absolutely incredible.

    Babylon and Victoria are awesome!
The tour experience was priceless. Our guide, Victoria, was amazing - knowledgeable, engaging, graceful and brought an important perspective on Van Gogh’s paintings, personal relationships and had insightful theories on the validity of the conventional interpretation of his mental illness, ear removal and death. For us, this is the beginning of our new search for what really happened to Vincent. Frankly, we’ve never had such a rich tour guide experience! Thank you!

    Great and entertaining experience.
Jo was our tour guide. We had a good time as she explained the life of Van Gouh and what the meaning behind a lot of his works. She was entertaining and had lots of wits about how she explained his life. We thank her for our tour. Would do another tour with her.

    Rediscovering Vincent with Fleur
Our amazing guide Fleur greeted us with positive energy and a warm smile on her face. She was very well prepared with a lot of additional information and encouraged us to ask questions. She was so kind and considerate with each of us, taking photos for the couples, making sure that everyone is fine. In my case, slowing down the pace of her speech a bit, so I can translate in parallel to my mother who does not speak English. We had a very good time and I highly recommend a guided tour with Fleur !!!!

    Excellent experience.
Janet conducted the tour in a truly excellent way; pointing out key details and facts - skilfully weaving points regarding Van Gogh’s life, his work, his style into the narrative as we viewed each work. Janet made the whole tour a truly informative, a most interesting and engaging experience.

Entertaining and poignant talk about Van Gogh and his art.
Janet gave us an enthusiastic and moving overview of Van Gogh and his life. We had time to view the artworks discussed and ask questions. Fellow tour attendees were engaged and clearly enjoying the talk.

This guided tour of Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum is worth every penny and more! Our guide Cecelia wove her extensive knowledge, research, and love of Van Gogh’s work and life into a fascinating and educational narrative. The collection is vast and she punctuated the tour with both well- and lesser-known paintings to illustrate her talk. She loved questions and interaction from our group members. Highly recommend!

Anna Nikolaeva was phenomenal! Do whatever you can to book her as your tour guide. Anna’s guided tour of the Van Gogh museum and the Van Gogh in Auvers-Sur-Oise temporary exhibit was by far the highlight of our six days in Amsterdam. Anna’s breadth and depth of knowledge made us fall in love with Van Gogh’s work, story, and art history itself. Anna gave us the option to tailor the experience to our interests and time… We stayed for over 4 hours hanging on every story she told. Anna brought the gallery to life and made the experience 100X more rewarding and fulfilling than you would ever get with a traditional tour. Anna’s tour is worth every cent and then some as she takes you inside the intricacies of Van Gogh’s psychology, philosophy, changing world views, mistakes, and traumas that shaped the man and artist Vincent became. We did not get the chance to do her Rijksmuseum tour but, based off of our experience, I can guarantee that she will blow you away there too. Thank you Anna for for an unforgettable experience, we will be talking about and looking back on our day with you and Van Gogh for many years to come!

Go early at opening 9am as by 11am it gets crowded. To appreciate masterpieces better, rent a audio guide in which you enter the art piece number displayed with a headset symbol on the wall. Allow 3 hours.

With my limited time and energy to see the extensive collection, Victoria was the perfect English speaking guide. She took time to understand my level of Van Gogh knowledge and my particular interest in his work. She then carefully crafted my tour to expand and deepen my understanding of Van Gogh’s life and works. Victoria would make a great art history teacher!

My visit to the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam became an unforgettable experience, all thanks to our amazing tour guide, Ewald.

From the very beginning, Ewald's passion for art and Van Gogh's life was infectious. With his captivating storytelling, he brought the artist's journey to life, connecting the dots between the paintings and Van Gogh's personal struggles.

Ewald's attention to detail and friendly demeanor made the tour both educational and enjoyable.

If you're planning to visit the Van Gogh Museum, I highly recommend taking a tour with Ewald for an enriching and inspiring experience.

JoJo was an excellent tour guide. She was very informative and had a wealth of knowledge regarding Van Gogh. This tour was so much better than walking around on our own because we got a comprehensive time line of Van Gogh’s life and his perspectives. Definitely recommend this tour.

Vincent Van Gogh is my all time favorite artists, for me visiting the museum was a dream come true. I had early morning tickets, the entrance is timed to manage the crowd size and yes the museum is sold out usually 4 to 6 six weeks in advance. On my next visit tot AMS I will go to museum again, the collection of paintings is vast and you will get to know Van Gogh up close and personal. If you like art, this is a must visit when in AMS.

The guide (Frank) was very knowledgeable about Van Gogh's life and the artwork. He said he'd been a guide for 20+ years and it really showed. I'd recently read the Van Gogh biography "Lust for Life" and somehow Frank expanded my knowledge even more than that comprehensive work. I'd've missed half the cool stuff if I'd just wandered on my own. It costs more to have a semi-private guide, but it's worth it if you've come halfway around the world to visit this museum.

We had a wonderful privately guided tour of the Van Gogh Museum. When we finished the tour, we felt like we knew Vincent. Our guide was passionate about not only the works of Van Gogh but also all aspects of his life and premature death. The entire tour was fascinating.

Cecilia was a wonderful guide whose enthusiasm is infectious. I am not an "art guy" but Cecilia brought the Van Gogh story to life, with her knowledge and passion for all the works in the museum. I appreciated her fearlessness to elbow her way through the crowd so we could appreciate each piece on its own.
