Accompanied by one of our English-speaking and local expert tour guide, this unique half-day tour combines sightseeing of Chapel Bridge and Lucerne’s old town with cheese tastings. It is the best way to spend a short time in one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. Walk along Lake Lucerne towards one of the most traditional cheese shops in town to enjoy real alpine cheese. An experience for lovers of raw milk cheese made according to traditional methods. Thanks to the diverse landscape, culture, tradition and experience of the owners, they produce a wide variety of excellent specialties in the Alpine cheese dairies.

        Fun and educational walking tour
Amazing walking tour through Lucerne! Saw the most important historical sites and learned a lot along the way. Michalis was fun to be around and very educated on the area. Highly recommend!

Terrible guide for snowshoeing trip - unfair refund policies with my-mountains
We booked through my-mountains a 1 full day excursion that was scheduled to be 1/2 day of sledging and 1/2 day of snowshoeing in St. Moritz, with a guide for the full day (9AM-4PM). We were asked to pre-pay for this 30 days before - including prepayment for the guide, sledge mountain pass, sledge rentals, snowshoes. Upon the day of the activity, we learned that the sledging mountain was not open and we'd just do the snowshoeing. We were picked up at 9AM by Pino, who worked for a local ski school (l'm guessing outsourced by my-mountains). He told us he was a ski instructor and doesn't usually do snowshoeing, and we could tell very quickly he was not happy to be with us. As such, he took us to a trail and basically just started walking on his own. No description or details provided as to what we were doing, where we were going, or anything. He basically just took off, and at a couple of points we lost sight of him. About 1.5 hours in, my family decided to stop and turnaround - we had to chase down Pino to tell him. At that point Pino told us there was a restaurant about an additional half hour away. The good part was getting to that restaurant with a nice view and hot drinks. After that, Pino was a goner. Next we saw of him was at the car. He definitely was not a tour guide - very silent and grumpy overall. We were back to our hotel at 1PM. After inquiring to my-mountains about a refund, Andrea informed me that I would only get 15CHF back because the sledging was closed. After I did a bit of investigation, it turned out that I paid probably over 300CHF in total for the prepaid sledge mountain passes (60CHF) and sledge rentals (19CHF) per person for 4. It took several communications with Andrea for him to admit that this refund was deserved, and in the end he refunded me a total of 275CHF. He certainly didn't offer it willingly. I also had the eat the cost of hiring a guide for the full day, even though we only had the person until 1PM. The sledging cancellation was not my fault, so I don't know why I was the one who had to still pay. I'd wish that my-mountains would provide more detail in the break down of the costs we were paying, because without my diligence in figuring all of this out, I suspect that they would have kept the funds that was supposed to be returned. Overall I would recommend that if you work with my-mountains, stick with their skiing adventures.

Great experience. Would recommend booking directly with the local guides.
We had a very nice day with Michalis as our tour guide for the day. I think he was hired by my-mountains as a third party. As such, the experience was great - he was very prompt in timing everything out so that our day was executed very efficiently. Michalis was very knowledgable about the region and provided interesting insights as we spent the day together. The tour itself was good in that we obtained some breathtaking views. The spa was a fun experience as well. One area that would have been better would have been to allot some time for lunch during the tour. We had to skip out on the spa a bit early to go get some food, and there weren't many options available. The other area to pay attention to is that the transparency of what you're paying for via my-mountains is not very clear. The description says that all transportation is covered in the fee, but we ended up paying for our own Swiss Travel Pass nonetheless - I don't know if I double paid for that since there is no detail provided that breaks out all of the costs. My recommendation would be to find Michalis as a tour guide separately and book directly with him.

Do the dairy tour with Livia!
This was an excellent way to spend an afternoon! Incredible views, a good easy walk, and great company. Livia was so attentive and kept us engaged and intrigued the entire time. She is an excellent host and guide. She planned ahead and tailored our visit to our requests. Her knowledge of the area and recommendations were also very helpful. We would recommend booking Livia again and again!

        Amazing tour in Lucerne!
We cannot express our gratitude enough for Amalia’s great tour. She showed us a side of Switzerland we wouldnt have been able to see on our own. She knew so much about Lucerne and was able to answer all of our questions. The views were immaculate and Amalia kindly took our photos in front of the beautiful scenic views. The cheese was amazing and we got to see so many cows!! My friends and I loved this unique experience and it was worth every penny!

The Matterhorn and Zermatt private tour, a MUST do activity. Ask for Pete!
What an incredible time we had with Pete during our tour! My wife and I enjoyed Pete's company, he shared many insights about Zermatt. He also has a great sense of humor! He led us on a hike from one of the viewing areas down to a wonderful restaurant, Alphitta, where we listened to live music and enjoyed the hosts' kindness. We had great views of the Matterhorn and the surrounding Alps! What a fabulous day! Thanks for making it so enjoyable, Pete!!

        Exceptional
Our tour with Sabrina was the best tour experience, we’ve ever had! She was passionate, knowledgeable & experienced! The views from the top of the hill, were incredible & the walk, beautiful! She took us to 2 farms, where we were able (through her translating) to communicate with the farmers & were even provided with a tour of their entire operation ❤️My goal on our trip to Switzerland was to see the countries very special cows & possibly get a cowbell! Sabrina was able to share my thoughts with the farmer & before I knew they allowed us to purchase one of their bells! Sabrina is an incredible tour guide that I’d highly recommend to anyone! She will always hold a special place in our hearts! ❤️

        Great Tour of Mt Rigi
Thomas was a great guide. He took the time needed with us, and was very thorough in his descriptions of the sights. There was a mixup in the tour content, which caused some early issues, but Thomas helped to alleviate/correct them very well.

        Great experience!
Our guide, Gabriella, was fantastic! She was knowledgeable and flexible. She listened to what we had hoped to see and managed our expectations very well especially due to the weather. We took a trek of the quaint town and then up in the hills to get a higher perspective of the village. The views were magnificent and lush. Finally, we took the train up to Gornegrat to see the various peaks. While the clouds partially covered the Matterhorn, the experience was surreal especially being high up at 10,000 feet, covered in snow. We did get to see the Matterhorn on the way down. Thank you for a wonderful time!

        Worth the experience
Worth the money to spend time with a private local guide and see the beautiful countryside overlooking Lucerne. We enjoyed meeting the farm cows and visiting the farm shop. We also got some pro tips from our guide to better enjoy our stay in Lucerne. It's nice to see the area through the eyes of a Swiss local. Highly recommend.

We had a fabulous time with Andrea! There is no way we could have navigated the mountain without his expert help. I highly highly recommend using Andrea for any of your ski trips in Switzerland. He made dining reservations for us for lunch and guided us safely across the mountain. we had a wonderful wonderful time with him 😊

        St. Moritz Ski Trip
We had a super half day of ski instruction from Giorgio who help us become familiar with the mountain. The following day, Paola provided us with excellent instruction which improved our skiing and confidence on harder runs.

My friend and I went on a walking day trip with Andrea and his team in the Lucerne area. Andrea put us at ease instantly and was eager to share with us his passion of the Swiss mountains and culture. He took us on unbeaten paths from which we could enjoy the most beautiful views of Lake Lucerne and surrounding mountains. My favorite moment was the special picnic that he provided with fresh local food (see picture). I truly recommend this activity and cannot wait to for my next « mymountains » experience.
Thank you so much for an incredible day!

Amalia was incredible. Told us amazing stories about the history and brought it to life. She was engaging, warm and extremely fun. We had a delightful time and hated for the tour to end. My son said that the tour was really good and the best tour we have had on this trip.

We took the Private Cheese and Chocolate tour. Denise was an excellent guide who knew a lot of history of Lucerne and the buildings. She is very personable and was also great at giving tips. I would suggest taking this tour at the beginning of your time in Lucerne because she has great recommendations for restaurants and place to visit. The balance of cheese/chocolate tasting along with history makes this a perfect tour for the family. I highly recommend this company!
