    Very disappointed
I arrived at the appointed spot and there was no one there so I have asked for a refund. The guide had all my contact information but never reached out to me. I was very disappointed as I had received several emails regarding my prepayment but no email explaining why no one met me.

Great tour with focus on Music
Great tour around Lucca with focus on music. The guide had lots of knowledge on both the city, the music, composers and artists. She played pieces of music which was great. Indeed recommended.

    Music then and now
Lucia had extensive knowledge of Lucca as well as classical and current music. Her tour was a wonderful way to focus on an aspect of Lucca’s culture amidst all the hubbub of tourists. Thank you so much.

    Musical Lucca
Our guide, Lucia, was wonderful. It was a small group and afforded me a chance to tour Lucca, as well as learn about the musical heritage here!

Walk in the footsteps of the musical masters.
This gentle tour certainly lived up to its name but with very many sparks of interest. Lucia was extremely well informed about the musical heritage of Lucca and the important part music has played in this beautiful city’s history. She was also up to date with the latest in the performance scene, with many amusing anecdotes about rock stars and jazz musicians who have performed, or in one case been detained in Lucca. (You will need to go on the tour to find the answer). I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, Lucia speaks excellent English. The only difficulty I found with this tour was that all your members were given incorrect instructions about the meeting point - it was not in fact the ticket office at Teatro Guiglio , but the statue of Garibaldi in the centre of the square.

    Guide didn’t show
Waited for 30 minutes with the rest of the group, but the guide never showed up. The only contact details we were given was a phone number, which they did not pick up when several members of the group tried to call. Very disappointing :(

    Great experience
I had such an amazing time in Borgo a Mozzano touring the gothic line. Anna is filled with knowledge. She incorporates her own family history for comparison giving a unique insight on the history. I was able to tour three bunkers and view the 1000 year old devil bridge. If you love history this is a must during your stay in Lucca!

    Fascinating tour, led by Carlo.
Fascinating tour, led by Carlo. Carlo is very knowledgeable about WWII but was also able to explain the big strategies and local involvement in a way that was interesting and engaging. We spent quite a bit of time in the small museum, learning about the Gothic Line and some of the local individuals that participated in the war activities. Then we headed out to two nearby bunkers. He led us through the bunkers so that we could understand their purpose, construction, and impact.

Paola was a very skilled and experienced guide as she delivered history, stories and information. We really enjoyed her ability to share such an entertaining picture of amazing Lucca.

Our only disappointment was that the tour was sold as an “English” language tour and it became a duel language tour. Although Paola handled this with grace, it decreases the enjoyment of the tour for everyone when multiple languages are combined. As half the time people are standing around waiting for the other half of the tour group to hear the details of the tour. It becomes disjointed and it isn’t fair to the tour guide or the paying customers to allow this to happen.

Our guide, Marta, was excellent. She was knowledgeable, interesting, humorous and shared her Italian history and culture passionately. She was also caring and considerate towards the people on the tour.
The walking was gentle and the tour provided a good oversight into Lucca's history and main points of interest. There were opportunities for questions and discussion.
A thoroughly enjoyable tour.

This was a great introduction to Lucca and we learned a lot about the history and culture as we walked many of the ancient city streets and paused in the piazzas to listen to the guide. My only complaint was the number of people on the tour made it difficult to hear the guide unless you were standing right in front of her. If you were in the back of the crowd, you missed a lot. So word to the wise, elbow your way to the front.

Lucia was a very pleasant, knowledgable guide who gave us a remendous guided walk through Lucca. The weather was hot but she always stopped in shaded areas and went out of her way to interact with the various parties in her group. The group was quite large but in an efficient manner she maintained control and her walk was maintained at a good pace. There were several different nationalities in the group but she took this in her stride

We enjoyed our tour with Victoria to the fullest. Her excitement for the city, her interest in presenting her town in the best possible way and her dedication in answering all questions we had was just outstanding. We both got a very general understanding of the history of Lucca itself and deep dive information about particular buildings, famous people and the life how it used to be in ancient times. We highly recommend to spend the additional 3€ to enter the dome in order to gather interesting facts what makes this building so special.

We ditched this tour after 50 minutes. The tour was too big to not have individual radios. Lucca is a fairly noisy city with lots of tour guides talking all around you. Bicycles to dodge, some cars, dogs barking. All the makings of a vibrant beautiful city. Gotta have radios and not just a tour guide pointing to a little map!

We immensely enjoyed this interesting, engaging and wonderful walking tour of Lucca with our guide, Victoria. We learnt so much about the music, politics, architecture, religion, art, archaeology, food and drink, and humour of this captivating ancient city and region.
The walk was accessible for most and the pace was perfect. We highly recommend this tour and thank Victoria for her excellent guiding. Grazie mille!

The tour with Manuel was absolutely superb. By making us look at the details of these amazing buildings around us, he uncovered a rich picture of how people lived here in the Middle Ages and explained how the Medici became the most influential family in Europe. His passion for Florence was evident and frankly I could have listened to him for two more hours. Thoroughly recommended!

Victoria did a splendid job guiding us on a walking tour around Lucca. Love her sense of humour and her love for beautiful Lucca. We received a huge amount of information on the history and saw the most important sights of the inner city. Highly recommend this tour.

Lovely (!) knowledgeable guide provided historical info and also fun local insider stories. It was simply delightful, a quality experience! Good value too. The starting location on trip advisor confirmation provides city center address so be careful to check your confirmation for exact location at the " visitor center" (other reviews note same issue).
