Cinque Terre Small Group Guided Tour from Florence
From US$ 148.38
See for yourself why Cinque Terre is considered one of Italy’s most beautiful destinations on a full-day tour to the UNESCO World Heritage site from Florence. Journey north to the rugged Ligurian coastline, and travel by train to visit four of the five picturesque fishing villages that make up this colorful community. Stroll through the winding terraced streets, relax by the beach, shop for unique souvenirs or grab a bite to eat while a guide shares insight into local culture and history. Ride to and from Florence in a comfortable van with a small group of no more than 16 people.
What to Expect
Start your small group day trip, meeting with all the participants in Florence. Once on-board, we will drive to the north-west direction, and from the highway you will have the chance to admire the white Alpi Apuane famous for the marble that gave life to masterpieces of the Italian world-renowned architecture and sculpture.
On your arrival in the area, you will start to admire the beauty of the Cinque Terre and your idea about these incredible lands will turn into reality! The blue sky and the blue sea blend all in one; vines fill up the steep slopes, proof of a constant human work that has never give up to the nature of the territory.
The expert guide will introduce you to secrets and stories about this particular and complex area. Using the local train/boat that connects the villages (tickets included) you will see Riomaggiore, Manarola (the “quitest” of the five towns) and Vernazza (the most picturesque of the towns).
Last stop will be in Monterosso al Mare, the perfect place where to relax, do some shopping, enjoy the sea and have lunch in one of the local restaurants (lunch not included).
At the end of the day, your driver will be waiting for you ready to drive you back to Florence, where you will arrive in the late afternoon:
Please note: Given the hilly nature and uneven ground of this location,
you must be of an average fitness and health level to join this tour. This tour is not recommended if you have mobility difficulties.
Given the particular nature of the area the standard itinerary may vary depending on weather conditions, traffic, strikes, etc.
Due to the high volume of visitors and the nature of the area, during the high season the villages and the local train, could be very crowded.
