  • Enjoy tasting sessions and tours at two Tuscan wineries
  • Explore the medieval town of Greve at your leisure

What to Expect
This afternoon tour kicks off when you meet your guide in front of the Santa Maria Novella train station in central Florence. Board a comfortable coach and leave the city behind as you head into the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside. The region is famous for producing Chianti, and you’ll begin by visiting a rustic winery and discovering the secrets behind this classic Italian red wine. Learn more about the winemaking process, indulge in a wine tasting, and try classic Tuscan snacks like bruschetta and cheese. Next, climb back on board your coach and head to the medieval town of Greve, located in the heart of the Chianti region. You’ll have time at your leisure to wander its piazzas or enjoy a nibble and a glass in one of its cafes (own expense). The tour continues with a stop at a second area winery, where you’ll have the opportunity to admire the vines and olive groves, partake in additional tastings, and otherwise soak up the scenery. Finally, board your coach and return directly to Florence.

Very nice city. One hour from Firenze by regional bus. It was a special weekend which happens once a year. The wine fiesta. Many wine and oil producers.

Staff was very nice with us and had to attention that all was well with our 7 month old baby. Nice tasting experiences but we do not visit the vigne yards. Still great experience in taste. Visit in Greve was short but a couple of nice things to see like the panorama view.

This was disappointing primarily because the tour took place majority in the dark out in what we were told was stunning countryside. 6 hours of bussing in the dark made for a less than desirable experience.

Dear customer We are terribly sorry to read about the disappointment of your experience. Of course in this period it gets dark earlier, this is an aspect that we cannot control and that people should take into consideration when choosing the travel period. Let us kindly tell you that it is not true that the entire six hours tour has been run in the dark because the sun goes down roughly at 4:30/5 pm, so at least the half of it gave you the opportunity to enjoy great views and take beautiful pictures. However, we keep running the tour the same way all the year long, we go to the same wineries and drink the same great wine and if this is the only time of the year you really can come to Tuscany we recommend that you do not miss the Chianti area, such an authentic part of our culture :) We really hope you will have the opportunity to travel to Italy and enjoy more of our country. Wishing you the best Regards Ciaoforence Staff

I generally don’t write negative reviews- so this will be one of my few exceptions. We did the Chianti Tour yesterday. The meeting point is a bit difficult - it’s over behind the train terminal at the bus stops. Give extra time or take a taxi. A taxi will run about 20 euros

Dear customer We are very sorry to receive such a review... We would like to tell you that our company does care about customers, your satisfaction always will be our very first priority, it is a pity that you didn't feel this. To be honest we are not used to receive complaints about the bus and the driver (they are always so much praised!), we are sorry that you did not feel safe, we will take your words in consideration. However, at the beginning of every tour the tour leader always asks if the audio and sound are ok: maybe you could just let him notice that he was too loud... your journey would have been more pleasent and we would not receive this review. In regards to the dark: well, in this period it gets dark earlier and we do not control it. It's one of those aspects that people who choose to travel in this period of the year should consider and keep in mind before planning their trip. By the way exploring the country during the low season means less people, no crowds, no heat, etc so it is still very enjoyable and advisable, it is really subjective. We hope you will get a chance to come back to Italy in spring or summer and enjoy the beautiful tuscan landscapes on great sunny days! Take care Regards Ciaoforence Staff

Dear customer We are sorry that you haven't enjoyed the tour very much. We spend all the time in the beautiful Chianti area (unique for its greenery, true!) and we visit two wineries where the group listens to the explanation given by the winery staff and samples some of the best wines produced in our region. Generally speaking, this is a very appreciated tour, also considering all the inclusions you get and our good deal but tastes and feelings are certainly very subjective :) we are sorry if we have not satisfied you 100% and we hope next time it will be a better experience! Kind Regards Ciaoflorence Staff
