About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- ingridjg0 contributionseat before you gonot a foodtour that we are used to. first you walk for 3 hours without any tastings og drinks. first at the end you get served some wine and tapas.Written 3 September 2024
- Excursion6742340 contributionsGreat time in VeronaGreat tour. Guide was informative and great company. Very knowledgeable guide. Inspired me to book the next trip to Verona.Written 25 August 2024
- phyllismH3240DX0 contributionsBait and SwitchTripadvisor pulled a bait and switch. I booked the Verona Local Food Tasting and Walking Tour with Cable Car. I have booked these types of tours directly with businesses throughout Europe and always enjoyed the time spent going to various bars and eating and drinking with a small group of people. Tripadvisor latched me on to a walking tour of Verona, walking for what seemed miles throughout the city. When I asked when we would stop and do the wine/food tasting, the guide said it would be at the end. At the end of the city tour, the people in our group left and I was left with the guide. He directed me to a bar at Piazza Bra where I sat alone with a charcuterie and a glass of wine. Pretty sad, really. I won't be booking these tours thru Tripadvisor anymore.Written 23 May 2024
- fellowtraveller0070 contributionsExcellent walk around Verona. The tour was great. The guide was very knowledgeable. Some, very interesting facts. We went to corners of Verona I had already visited while wondering around and he provided context and history. Food was also great and the restaurant was in a great spot.Written 7 May 2024
- Resort5923040 contributionsFun with the factsMauro the guide was such a nice person, informative without going overboard and fun with the facts. When it came to the food and wine, he had good suggestions and was a pleasure to have with us.Written 19 April 2024
- sarahmV4702EM0 contributionsNice tour but eat a meal beforehandWe we under the impression (based on tour description) that it would be a food tour with different stops along the way to try local cuisine. Needless to say we arrived hungry and were told the tour was not a food tour but rather a walking tour with a local meats/cheeses platter at a restaurant in the square at the end of the tour. Also worth noting the tour does not include entrance into the colosseum. Our guide was great and she was super informative about Verona, we learned a lot and enjoyed it but was marketed very differently than what we experienced.Written 14 January 2024
- HillTraveller0 contributionsAGreat Overview of VeronaThis was THE best way to experience Verona when you have a short timeline/ Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. Tour was a complete overview of the city. great food tasting and a terrific wine tasting and store at the end. Highly recommend.Written 27 November 2023
- Fearless363069412170 contributionsA tour worth walking forLoved getting to roam the streets of verona and learn all about its history! Best part was the view from the top of the cable car ride. I would call out though this tour is a lot of walking so wear comfy shoesWritten 24 October 2023
- Mary Catherine M0 contributionsGood Mix TourGreat tour. Only 8 people in our group. Good mix of walking and talking. Be prepared to walk about 4 miles or so. Tasting is at the very end.Written 13 October 2023
- elizabethhK3037CG0 contributionsNice introduction to architecture & history. The tour was a nice overview of Verona covering architecture and history. The guide did not have her sign with her at the meeting point so a little confusing at first. Saw several Verona highlights - Ponte Scaligero bridge, Juliet’s balcony, cable car, and more. Food component a bit lacking though. There was quite a discussion about the famous Verona cake, pandora, but no tasting. We looking at a menu outside a restaurant and discussed some of the dishes. The tour ended with the guide leaving us at a restaurant on our own. She had to get to a doctor’s appointment. We were served some bread, salumi, cheese and wine by the waiter. Other than the wines being from the Veneto region, the other items weren’t very particular to Verona. Overall, it was a pleasant tour.Written 26 September 2023
- GoPlaces607258167780 contributionsHighly recommendthe tour was very informative and our tour guide was very friendly and well spoken. The end of the tour with the food tasting was great. we had a very small group so it was more personalWritten 25 July 2023
- V2591OSjacquelineg0 contributionsExcellent tourHighly recommended this tour! It was a great start to our 4 day break in Italy. Our guide showed us hidden gems in the town and made me and my daughter feel comfortable and confident to navigate the town. You could see the guides passion for Verona, which really made our experience a lot better.Written 22 July 2023
- H9595JTgaryw0 contributionsWalking tour of VeronaWe had never visited Verona before and would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get to know the city. Our guide spoke very good English and patiently answered any questions that we had. We ended up with a good background knowledge of the history of the city taking in some fantastic views and finished off with some food and wine at a loveley restaurant overlooking the Arena.Written 15 July 2023
- Wilfried G0 contributionsWalking tour of VeronaThe guide was knowledgeable friendly and spoke fluidly in English. Highly recommended. The tour was well organised and was comprehensiveWritten 3 July 2023
- Ana-Maria S0 contributionsBeutiful views, interesting facts, delicious foodThe best walking tour of Verona in my opinion. Mauro made the walk very interesting, the historical data and beautiful views very well combined. He presented the whole past of Verona, from roman to medieval, to venetian and austrian, all through a pleasant walk along Adige, the belvedere from San Pietro, finishing at Juliet's house. Then the food and wine part in a nice restaurant in front of the Arena was delicious and well deserved after three hours on foot.Written 24 April 2023

Glad we decided to take a guided tour. Our host was Maurio, guiding us along the monuments, through the streets, telling us the local historical stories, in a 3 hour tour, that passed so quickly. Worth every penny.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable and interesting walking tour. The guide gave us a comprehensive understanding of the different eras of Verona, from ancient times to the present, which helped put the sights we visited in perspective. The view from the Castle at the top of the funicular was spectacular.

Francesca was a marvelous host. She shared so much information with us and I really liked the sights we were able to cover. Verona is a beautiful city and she made it so much easier for me to see all the sights and learn from an expert! She grew up here and knows a lot!

Our tour guide was kind and very knowledgable. She made our experience on this tour one to remember. Our 12 year old son found it interesting and even said later that he wished we were still on our tour.

Wow, this was a bore! Our guide,Carla was nice, but her English wasn’t fluent thus the few facts she told were boring. We walked from uninteresting spot to spot, with the only commentary told once we got there from a poor microphone that barely gave any output. There are some gorgeous views at the top of the cable car which we waited a half hour for, plus waited 10 min. At the start for a no show, and waiting another 10 minutes while she went back to pick up another group. We have been on many tours in Italy but this was by far the dullest. Scale of 1 to 10, we gave it a 3. Better off to do it on our own, plus we didn’t end at the beginning as stated and had to figure out the way back.

The tourguide Mauro was excellent. He made it interesting and explained in a good way. He was very kind, funny and made sure everyone was comfortable in a caring way.
We brought our teenagers and they enjoyed it as well. We were afraid that the 3 hours was going to feel long, but it didn't. We had many stops with a chance to sit down while listening. I highly recommend the tour!

Conveniently located close to the train station, perfect location for a 2 night stay in Verona, very quiet for sleeping. Unit contained everything we needed and was very nicely decorated, check-in was quite helpful with tips on where to sightsee and where to eat. We felt very safe here and in Verona. Terrace and a/c were a delight. Bed was quite stiff but similar to many other beds at places we visited in Italy.

We did a small group tour including a bakery, various historic sites/architecture near Piazza Erbe, wine shop, and the incline up to the palazzo overlooking Ponte Pietro. Do look from this height at the fortification walls in the nearby hills surrounding Verona. We went in the evening, prior to sunset, which was especially lovely. Have an aperitif spritz while gazing at Verona from up here.

Wir haben einen Hund dabei. Geht das, wenn eine Person vor der Arena mit dem Hund draussen wartet?
