Clare was fabulous and waited for us despite our being late (miscalculated timing of boat to get there). She is enthusiastic and speaks so well. Quite knowledgeable!

Sylvia gave a nice overview of the Ghetto throughout history. She passed the baton to another person who did the synagogue part of the tour. The Italian synagogue was very interesting. However the guide then started to repeat what Sylvia already showed us so we decided t leave.

Guide was difficult to understand at times and didn't answer questions asked to her. Also took us to planes with minimal discussion as to why Tour had a great deal of potential and could have been better. The synagogue visits given by a different guide through the visitor center however were excellent!

Sylvia was an amazing tour guide! She really knew her stuff from the history of the Jewish ghetto to the current environment and modern lifestyle. We had the best time and enjoyed the meaningful Jewish history and her warm demeanor! Highly recommend!!!

The problem with this tour was that it was NOT a walking tour! We stood in the square for a hour and fifteen minutes where the guide was showing us maps in a protected folder of the history of the area. In depth history lesson standing! The guide was nice and very knowledgeable but the setting was inappropriate for most of the attendees. Other than taking us down 1 side street to show us some markers in the ground commemorating people who were lost in the holocaust and then over 1 bridge out of the ghetto and to a place in the square that had some significant important art work, we stood. Then a second guide took us for 45 minutes into 2 synagogues. I believe she was “certified “ to have access to do this. She was less than warm and enthusiastic. It was disappointing.

Christina our guide was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and informative. I would recommend this tour! She was easy to find and even took some time at the end to show us a few more details/info.

Very good tour, Clare was a great guide, full of energy, very informative about Venice, the area and the ghetto. Definitely a good way to get a feel for Venice and it's history.

We did the three hour tour that included the Synagogues. The first part of the tour was about two hours and we explored the Jewish Ghetto. We learned a lot about its fascinating changing history throughout the centuries. The second part of the tour was about one hour and we visited two Synagogues. Both were impressive and different from the other. Both our guides were terrific and informative. I really enjoyed learning more about this special part of Venice.

Caroline was a great guide. Our group of 4 was completely happy with our tour. We learned a lot and Caroline was so approachable and relaxed. We would recommend her highly.

Our guide Ilaria (sp?) was knowledgeable and very sweet. She led us all around the area and pointed out many interesting details. Valuable experienced that enhanced our time in Venice. Meeting directions were clear but should have been included on the tickets. Note: the description "with time for Synagogues Tour" is misleading. The Synagogues Tour wasn't included. Ilaria helped us arrange it to follow this tour.

I am so glad we booked this tour! Ilaria did the first (and longer) portion of the tour, taking us around the Jewish ghetto and explaining in depth all of its rich history. She was patient, personable and answered all of our questions. We then linked up with other tour groups in order to see the Sephardic synagogue (this tour was led by Sylvia). Also extremely informative! Please note that most of the synagogues are under repair and can't be visited. Depending on the time of year, they'll either take you to the winter or summer Sephardic synagogue.

The tour was suppose to be shul included wasn’t was very boring. We didn’t enjoy it not much information wouldn’t recommend it

Wonderful time with Edi as our tour guide. She did a great job. Fascinating to learn so many things. We had about 16 people on our tour. We signed up for the synagogue addition which was great also. Amazing do stand in a synagogue that was so old.
