Roberta C was very informative and very personal. She went out of her way to engage the teenagers in the group. She was concerned about the survival of her town. We learned alot about the residents of Venice. This was our second tour with Walks of Italy and we strongly recommend them.

Giuliano was an amazing tour guide! As a native Venetian, he knew all of the spots of the beaten path! We learned so much about the history of Venice and had time for a coffee stop/bathroom break during the first half of the tour. Then, we had a 30 min or so gondola ride and lunch/shopping break, followed by a guided tour through the oldest church in Venice, adorned with golden mosaics, followed by the fascinating Doges palace! We left with such an appreciation for the culture and history of Venice!!

This has been one experience to remember for life. What a privilegie! I can not explain the emotion at San Marco by night, there are no words. You have to live It.

We had a great time on this tour! We were sure to schedule on a day that the Rialto fish market would be open and it didnt disappoint. Our guide Nico is local to Venice and gave us thorough detail on the history of Venice and was very interactive with all of our questions. The tour was about 2 hours of walking around Venice and seeing the main attractions, and ended with a 30 minute gondola ride!

St Marks Basilica is a short wait to get in but worth it to see ( Bring some euro coins to light a candle) but the Doge's Palace is a brutal line up so get their early. Both places will take up most of your day and so worthwhile to see and they are near the dock at St Mark's Square. The history you will learn at the Doge's Palace is amazing. Walking across the Bridge of Sigh's and looking down at the Canal is an interesting experience of where they walked Prisoners' across. We did both tours late day

Very informative , the guide was very attentive to the group and knowledgeable . The break time for lunch could be less , maybe just 30 minutes, I think is enough .

This tour delivered a lot of value for the price and time. It moved fast, but also built in breaks to allow rest and opportunities to find something to eat. Having pre-arranged gondola rides and entries into St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace made it convenient. Having explanations about the sights made it all more meaningful than just seeing pretty buildings, statues, and paintings. Our guide kept us moving at a good pace while not rushing. She provided plenty of historical and cultural context.

5* Elena rocks 😍 We had a lovely day yesterday. The tout was well organised Elena was insightful, kind and funny. We particularly enjoy the Murano glass factory demo and the Burano sunset leisurely stroll down its main street... ❤️

This was one of the best tours that we did on our trip, Grace was our tour guide and she was very knowledgeable and was very nice. Our gondola driver was fun as he would sing to us. I woudl recommend everyone that goes to Venice to do this tour.

The small group tour with Roberta was absolutely amazing! The access to St. Mark's Basilica at night is a very different experience than seeing it with 1,000 other people during the day and being moved along (I've done that too!). It's quiet, dramatic; and, when they slowly put the lights on as you sit in the dark, it's magical. The mosaics come to life and sparkle as you watch the basilica "wake up." That's a very nice touch. We were able to see the crypt and go behind the altar to see the famous Pala d'Oro altarpiece, which I was really looking forward to. It did not disappoint! Roberta was a fountain of knowledge and her English is wonderful. I didn't want the tour to end. Spend the money and do this!!

I had a wonderful experience on the Venice In a Day tour! The highlights of the Basilica San Marco and Doge's Palace were breathtaking, with our guide providing fascinating insights into their history and architecture. The gondola ride was a relaxing way to see Venice from a unique perspective. The only downside was the tour felt a bit rushed at times, but overall it was a great way to experience the city's main attractions in one day. Highly recommend for first-time visitors!

Amazing and highly recommended!! Seeing Doge Palace and St. Marks at night is incredible. One of the highlights of our entire trip. Our guide was so knowledgeable, she knew so much about both institutions. Doge was great, but the highlight for me was St. Marks! Our guide knew so much information! Loved, loved, loved this tour. Don't miss it!

Guiliano was friendly, funny and forthcoming. He laid the foundations for our stay in Venice with his great local knowledge. The gondola ride was also a perfect addition to our trip!

Walks provides the best tours. The guides are so knowledgeable Barbara was our guide. She was enthusiastic out her city of Venice. She made history come to life. Loved it.

We were super excited for this night tour at St.Marks Basilica and Doge's palace and this was to be one of the highlights of our time in Venice. The reviews all made it sound like we would see St. Mark's and then go to Doge's palace and the total tour time was a max of 3-3.5 hrs. We arrived only to find that we were going to Doge's palace first. Fine, but really more interested in St. Mark's Basilica. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and worked hard to accommodate all ages and abilities in our group. We finally finished Doge's palace around 8 pm only to go outside and have the guide tell us to return in 2 hrs (at 10pm) for St. Mark's Basilica. I inquired what was happening as we had NOT been given notice that there was a 2 hr. break in between the sightings of the two buildings and explained that we had a reservation for dinner that could not be altered at 9:30. I asked if there were any alternatives, such as coming back the next day with a different tour group, but the guide was not understanding of why our restaurant reservation couldnt be changed (their last reservation was filled months ago) and claimed not to be able to get ahold of anyone and only told me I had to send a message through email. I confirmed with others in our group as well that they too had NOT been notified of a 2 hr delay between sightings and one member even mentioned that he had done the tour previously and it did not have the 2 hr. delay. He and his group were not able to come back for the St. Mark's portion as was at least one other couple that I knew of that also could not return. The tour guide herself mentioned what a hardship it was for her to come, give a tour, have to waste 2 hrs of her time walking around the square and then return for the second part of the tour before she could go home, well after midnight usually. I emailed the company and requested an alternate visit to St. Marks as I really wanted to see it, but no offer ever arrived. I did receive a refund of one of our two tickets, but I would have rather preferred to see St. Marks as I had planned well in advance to do so and never got to see it. Walks of Italy should be more upfront and provide a scheduled itinerary for this tour so people know what they are in for and can make plans accordingly.
