What an experience and a great way to see a bit more of Lake Como. When we initially arrived it was a bit of a free for all as it seems lots of operators use the dock. We eventually spotted someone with a La Dolce Vita tee shirt and hat and shortly afterwards the boat arrived with the previous guests. We hadn’t booked the trip ourselves as it was part of a completion prize and had no idea what the trip had cost and to our surprise we were the only people on the trip. We left the dock and after a bit of paperwork we were underway. Our driver for the trip asked whether we wanted a leisurely trip or wanted to go fast too which our answer was fast! Now your answer at this point might not make any difference but we will never know. The trip was a rollercoaster ride around the lake with a number of stops along the way to give us some facts and knowledge of the area and was a great way to spend an hour and we would highly recommend. Our guide for the trip did introduce himself but rudely we forgot his name but I think everyone at the dock will know who he is with his musical entrance to the dock and his seemingly endless happiness and enthusiasm. He certainly enjoys his job.

Very nice tour with a great guide. Great views even though we only took the one-hour tour. The boat was very comfortable for the six of us.

This one hour boat ride with Francesco was the highlight of our trip to Lake Como! He was so friendly, kind, spoke great English and knew everything about the history of the Lake and hotels and Villas that line the mountains. We had the best time with Francesco and would do this again with him in a heartbeat!

Our trip around Lake Como with Frank was amazing. We chose to customise our trip and Frank was very accomodating. We got picked up in Bellagio and then tour the Lake. Taking in all the sights on our way back to Como which included Varenna, Tremezzo, Villa Balbiano, Richard Branson’s Villa, George Cloney’s Villa, Nesso and more. He included a couple of last minute changes for the teenagers so they could swim. The boat was very equipped with everything you could need. Frank was very knowledgeable and his English was excellent. He was a great host and we would highly recommend Frank for a magical tour of Lake Como

Frank was an amazing host for this two hour tour. He knew all the places and interesting inside stories of lake Como, adapted the tour on the fly to our wishes, and it was great to get to know him a little bit as he is such a warm, fun and interesting guy to hang out with! We will definitely try to do his tours again!

A wonderful tour of Lake Como. Very informative and fun. We stopped by a bridge where people were jumping in and the younger kids jumped out of the boat and did the bridge jump too.

Wonderful day on the lake!! We saw so many beautiful stops and were told the history behind them. Wish it was longer!!

Book it today! Frank's boat tour of Lake como was our best day in Italy. We cruised, looking at villas, learning history from Frank. The best part was swimming and jumping off a bridge! Wonderful.

Be careful!! He does not like Americans…. I was planning my first time trip here with only being able to stay 1 day. I asked a couple of questions not knowing how transportation works and reading you can get stuck in the islands because the ferries don’t run so late anyway it started with Cristina giving me attitude because I asked questions regarding transportation I realized it wouldn’t work with my schedule so I asked if I could cancel literally the day I booked it!!! my trip being 1 month away and the owner Frank completely blew up on me told me he “couldn’t stand people like me” and he would keep my deposit because he had to message me regarding the booking. I’m not sure what I did wrong to deserve him talking to me the way he did; and I wouldn’t want to be in a tiny boat in another country with a person like that really scary. So be careful if I could give it zero stars I would! It’s not worth having the risk of ruining your trip!

Francesco was THE BEST. You should book this tour immediately. Very comfortable boat and an informative and beautiful tour of Lake Como. Really wonderful guide, great English, good sense of humor. We got to swim and see the sites. Couldn’t have been better!

This was an amazing tour and Frank was the perfect captain/guide to have on the boat. Firstly, Frank was at the decided location well ahead of time and upon boarding we could see the boat was very clean, well maintained, and in good shape to host even a larger group than ours (we were 5 people). Over the 2 hours the tour lasted we had the entire boat to ourselves and Frank delivered exactly what he promised. If you are deciding between the 1 hour and 2 hour tour - take the 2 hour tour. We saw a pretty decent chunk of the lake and were able to relax and stop at points along the way. We got amazing sweeping views of the lake. We visited some breathtaking spots that seem to be only accessible by boat. Also, we were able to jump off the boat and swim in the lake at two different locations. Frank also shared some historical facts about the famous villas. hotels, forts and properties on the lake. The tour is BYOB so make sure to bring any drinks you'd like to consume. Overall this tour is well worth the money. 5/5. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a true Lake Como experience.
