My Best tour during entire cruise!!
Our guide was awesome! We were able to skip the long lines and tour the coliseum, Vatican, museums, and more. There is so much to see. We were able to see everything. Our group included family and friends. Thank you for helping to make our trip memorable. We really enjoyed touring all the beautiful places!

Great service for wheelchair users
As I was preparing a trip to Florence and Rome I decided to contact Rome and Italy accessible tours. They made all my reservations for accommodations as well as private transportation to numerous guided tours in Rome. I was able to visit two different archaeological sites with the use of their wheel Trekkie. Their staff was always prompt, courteous, helpful and entertaining. My trip went off perfectly and I wouldn't make any changes. They took the hassle out of me having to research all the information for this 10-day excursion. I highly recommend their services for any physically challenged travelers as it really made things a lot easier for me.

Italy Vacation with Gate 1
This was the first trip to Italy for my husband and I, so we we went with a tour group to lessen the stress of being in an unfamiliar environment. We used Gate 1 and chose the Enchanted tour, 10 days (plus 2 days travel) to Venice, Florence, Rome, and the Sorrento coast. It was a wonderful introduction to Italy. Everything thing is arranged by Gate 1, from where to go once you land in Italy to sending a rep to the airport with you when you leave to help you navigate to the right place at the airport. We saw and experienced so much! Not only the major attractions, but many other local places. They assigned our group (about 40, varying ages) one dedicated guide and then each place we went, there was a specialty guide who was an expert in the history/facts of where you are visiting. We we transported through Italy (crazy, crazy driving and traffic in the main cities!) by motor coach buses, always very convenient. Entrance to museums/attractions were quicker and easier. I had no idea it would be so crowded in the major cities we went, unbelievable. This was a fast paced, very active tour. Early mornings till evening most days. Lots of walking up and down inclines, stairs, precarious cobblestone. Italy is hilly/mountainous and very old, so most of the sidewalks and areas where you walk are uneven. You really need to watch your steps and wear comfortable shoes. We visited several places(vineyards, Murano glass factory, leather/gold shops, pasta factory ) where we did get to learn a lot about the products they made. It also came with a sales pitch. But, I found this to be a perfect opportunity to learn, sample products and make purchases at discounted rates. I would not have had these opportunities without the tour group arranging these visits. We had the best dinners at the vineyards and pasta factory! Unlimited wine and food and I NEVER felt pressured to buy anything. But, I did, it was so much fun! Our tour guide, Flavia, was the best! She took such good care of the group and made sure we had a great experience. She shared information about everywhere we went and local customs and specialties of the various regions. She would surprise the group with little treats native to the area, chocolates, focaccia, cannoli. She taught us some Italian and always gave us little mini lessons, which I loved. She helped make the experience so enjoyable for us. I always wanted to go to Italy, but was worried how to navigate in a foreign country. Using a tour service was a great solution for us, we would use Gate 1 again, especially if all their tout guides are as fantastic as Flavia.

City break
We went to Rome not knowing what to expect and came back more knowledgeable and amazed at all the architecture. Went for 4 nights. Got an early flight from Birmingham arriving at dinner time. Was worth the trip, even though you could say it was a bit expensive but ha ho, still worth every penny. I would advice you plan your trip and where possible book tours on line! The travel network is good and you can buy 12/24 and 48 hour passes to allow you to travel on buses, trams and metro and not too expensive as the hotel we stopped at was about out of the city (so do your home work) Still enjoyed it and can say we have been. If you are into architecture and museums then you may want to go for more than 4 night as there is a lot to see and take in

Excellent accessible day in Rome
I was a tour leader in Mediterranean Cruise and organised a private accessible car and driver for a day for my clients from Civitavecchia port. They had a group of 5 persons, 3 of them using a wheelchair or scooter. I got excellent service and Cristiana replied my e-mails immediately. Very good adapted car with good security system for the wheelchairs waited my clients in the port and the driver was excellent! He spoke really good English and was really friendly and professional. He took the group all around the Rome, helped them to find accessible toilets etc. My clients were really happy and said this was the best day of the cruise. So thank you, I will definetely contact you again!

The spa was amazing - I absolutely recommend visiting it and spending a whole day. The whole spa experience was so relaxing and had so many options for us to explore. However, the drivers had the wrong names both to and from our hotel, so it made the beginning and end of the spa stressful because we had to be so vigilant about finding our driver. Additionally, the pictures and description make you feel like you’re going to be alone at the buffet and spa, however you are definitely not. We went on a Saturday evening and there was probably a couple hundred people and most of them don’t respect the advised whisper/silent spaces of the spa. Overall, very thankful for the experience and happy we went, but it wasn’t what we were expecting in terms of privacy for the price.

Impeccable personal service
I travelled with my 19 year old daughter a few weeks ago to Italy. I have ALS, use a power wheelchair, and am not able to walk. Yet the Rome and Italy group was able to get me everywhere and do everything on my list! I had been to Rome many times, but not in a wheelchair-- but this was one of my favorite trips. I was able to see the Forum, Ostia Antica, the fountains by night, and so much more. Cleo was amazing in her planning skills, and Stephania and Marco (our guides) were wonderful, as was Luca our driver who was instrumental in getting me in and out of the van and close to all sights. The guides' recommendations for authentic, small family restaurants were spot on and will be remembered. Also, if you are unstable in any way, check out the company's Wheely Treky device which can get you everywhere. Remarkable. I initially had engaged another "accessibility" company to assist me with this trip. However, I was not satisfied because I was told I could not choose my itineraries or the sights and small churches I wanted to see, and would not be able to access the type of restaurants and night events I desired. So I left that company, and then found the Rome and Italy tour company---it was a completely opposite experience! I was able to fully participate in the planning of the itineraries, and soon understood that I could count on Rome and Italy to make this trip perfect and tailored to exactly what we wanted! I am ready to plan another trip. Brava to Cleo, Georgia, and Stephania, and bravo to Marcos and Luca, and to everyone behind the scenes. Grazie!!!!

Rome & Italy Tourist Services ...impressive!!
I own a small business; travel services in Egg Harbor Township, NJ and a client approached me about a trip to Italy. I have access to tons of Italy suppliers, but none of them was giving what my client wanted until I met Stefano Sghinolfi at the New York Times Travel Show in January 2019. I stopped at different Italy supplier tables, but Stefano was the ONLY ONE, as I described what my client wanted, he was the ONLY one who took out a sheet of paper, took my information down and asked for my client's desires. It was an immediate match made in heaven; by Tuesday, I had a full itinerary in my inbox to present to my client. He assigned Cleo to help me with this tripa and I have to say, we worked on this for several weeks. My client's trip was scheduled for June, deposited in February and paid off in May. First of all Cleo was amazing, patient due to all of the changes, questions and a million emails. Because of the time difference, there was a short window of time to get responses. I felt as if I was the only customer they had. The personal service was great. But in the end it turned out to be an amazing bucket list trip for my clients. What's amazing about Rome & Italy Tourist Services, their tours are private. It's just you and the tour guide--so no one complaining their tired, hungry or have to use the bathroom. The tours that my clients chose and the quality that was presented... breath taking--from what my client has said. Another plus of this company, their number one client, ideal client is those with accessibility issues. They cater to them. I watched Stefano's video on the why the company started, and he showed his heart; his heart for those who can't. That, right there, alone, was enough for me to feel secure that I knew I made a great decision to trust them with my client's trip. Their tours are not cheesy and they employ tons of locals--who are the BEST at showing my clients around. I could go on and on and on, but I cant. Stefano Sghinolfi, thank you for doing your job. Offering the BEST customer service right where you were--in the middle of a travel show. Cleo, thank you for putting up with my questions and a million emails. Your patience is very much appreciated. I believe this is why R&I is successful and will continue. If you're a travel professional, someone looking for amazing, company with your client in mind...consider Rome and Italy Tourist Services!! We were on a cruise with a one day stop in Katakolon,Greece. I had booked a private tour online before we left for our vacation with VISITKATAKOLON.COM. I couldn't have made a better choice. Our guide, John, took us to Olympia and then to other attractions that were off the tourist route and which we loved. We visited a small family run bee farm which was a fun and informative visit. John took was to a neighborhood restaurant where the fish are caught in the morning and served during the day - couldn't be fresher ! He helped us choose what to order and everything was delicious. He also took us to a beach where we could take a dip and cool off. It was a great and fun experience. I highly recommend VISITKATAKOLON.COM. You won't be disappointed.

Highly Organized, Great Service for Disabled Customer
We were in contact with Cleo from Rome & Italy with regards to several accessible transfers from airport to hotel and cruise terminal. In addition we booked a private 6 hour tour with boat service which had to accommodate an electric wheelchair. Cleo was firstly excellent in responding to all my questions and concerns, highly professional and very fast to give answers. She organized all the transfers and tour in a great way and provided all the necessary details. All the transfers were in extremely nice and large wheelchair vehicles with electric ramp. Very clean interior and the drivers were all very professional and always on time. They always dropped us off exactly at the correct places and accommodated us in every way. The private boat tour was also very well done. My son's wheelchair is about 250 kg total, and the boat could easily hold this weight. We also had a very nice tour guide who knew Venice very well. We saw all the major sites in Venice very comfortably and our guide knew all the routes a wheelchair could go. If you require any sort of accessible services in Venice, especially for electric wheelchair, we highly recommend Rome & Italy.

First visit to Rome
This was my first time visiting Rome. I didn't know how it would go with a wheelchair so I was very happy to find Rome and Italy on the internet. I arranged for them to pick me up and drop me off at the airport and to take me on several tours the week I was in Rome. They were always very prompt on the appointed excursions and their guides and drivers were top notch. I especially loved the two young men who carried me through the Roman Forum. They were delightful! I didn't have to worry about a thing. It was a great way to see the city, especially a newcomer like me.
