Maura was a lovely guide and really took her time to explain the various exhibits, sculptures and paintings. The Sistine Chapel alone would warrant a second visit to really appreciate everything

We did the tour with Christiana, it was my husband, my brother-in-law and me, plus six other people, so a small group. Christiana was brilliant, she gave us a good mix of historical and art history information so I felt there was a good balance, the pace was just right in terms of a highlights tour and my family and I all agreed that it was the best bit of our visit to Rome - we would definitely recommend! Grazie Christiana!

Well, what to say. Booked via Viator, very competitive price. Hard to find anyone cheaper! Bit skeptical at first as I’d heard all these stories of people getting their tour tickets cancelled hours before the event. But Maximus Tours pulled through! The queries I had was answered quickly and precisely with the tour operator. Cristiana our tour guide was excellent! Whilst maintaining a positive attitude she made it very informative and fun. No question too big or small. Just want to say, hats off again to Cristiana & Maximus Tours for a fun and informative tour around the Vatican, Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica. 5/5 Stars! I completely forgot about writing this review at the time, but this tour was absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend it higher. I attended as a solo student (so got a fabulous discount) on a 3-hour Vatican Tour. I am a student of Classical Civilisation but decided a guided tour would be great for Vatican City as I don't know a lot about Renaissance Art and the city itself. Katherine our guide was an absolute star. She knew absolutely everything we asked her, brought print-outs, annotated images and more to talk with us through a very well-structured and produced tour. It was very busy but she did amazing and kept the group together, the small group size made it easy for us to gather in areas so she could talk to us, or using the headsets provided. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The tour was fabulous and somehow with the last-minute booking the student discount worked out cheaper than entry into all the sites themselves. Absolutely fantastic! Christina was wonderful, funny professional and educated. She was attentive to all of our needs and questions and was patient and kind to all. Would do this tour again!

Our tour guide was awesome! Very knowledgeable. Excellent explanations! Got us through to see everything even though it was a holiday and very crowded with pilgrims wanting to go through the jubilee door!

Sabrina was amazing! She was insightful, thorough and assertive, giving incredible descriptions of some of the more subtle details of Vatican City. Would use her and Maximus Tours again 100%.

Can highly recommend Maximus Tours! We did the semi-private Vatican Tour and our guide was Luigi. He was incredibly knowledgeable, interesting to listen, engaged with each member of our group and very responsive to questions. Absolutely 5 stars!

Very knowledgable guide and good speed of tour. Nice experience. The wide spread of the Vaticn city was adequately covered and time was given to wander about and do things .

Maximus arranged a first class tour. With only one other couple as well as ourselves, we effectively had a private tour. Bypassing all the queues, our excellent guide Elisa was able to spend more time showing the fascinating exhibits in the museum, the key points of interest in the basilica and a fascinating and informative briefing of what to look out for in the Sistine chapel. Patricia was wonderful! This was my third time to the Vatican, and I came away with more information than either of the other two visits. She knows her stuff and can explain it extremely well so all walked away with plenty of information. I loved the size of this tour as well. Definitely worth the money!!!

Had a great tour. Tatiana was amazing. Very informative and engaging . She answered all of questions and provided an amazing experience. This is one of the only times that I feel like we got so much more from the guided tour than we would have ever gotten on our own.
