About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 407ileneg0 contributionsVespa side car tour - fun and excellent intro to Rome! Our guide was excellent, he had so much wonderful information to share and shared it in such a digestible pace. We learned so much and saw a huge part of the city. It was a fantastic way to spend our first day in Rome with an outstanding introduction. It was super fun and all of the driver/guides were very safe drivers and kind hosts. Highly recommended!!Written 14 March 2025
- craigwilson13140 contributionsYou need to do this trip!!If there is one excursion trip to go on in Rome then this is the one!! It is such a fun way to see most of the big ticket tourist sites in Rome. The staff are second to none, including an experienced guide to inform you of the history of the city and individual sites we visited. Plenty of time for photos and a gelato. Expect plenty of interest from passers-by who all want to wave and take photos/videos of you as we zoom past them. Try and book this trip closer to your arrival in Rome rather than the end as it will knock off some of the tourist attractions and give you a sense of whereabouts in the city they are. An added bonus is there is a Pantheon ticket included in the price. For me it is definitely value for money!! Perfecto!!Written 14 March 2025
- ATLglobetrottingfam0 contributionsBest way to see Rome and feel like a VIP!Luca was a fantastic guide full of information. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a full tour of the Pantheon with our tour, as well as lots of insight into the many sites and neighborhoods as we were driven around central Rome. The gelato stop was wonderful as well. This was the best way to see Rome for sure- we had considered a golf cart tour, but after seeing those in action, we are so glad we did the Vespa sidecar. What an amazing unique experience. Highly recommend!Written 11 March 2025
- allisonfS9538IG0 contributionsBest tour for jetlag and short attention spans :)The BEST start to our Italy spring break vacation! Forget jetlag while you zoom around the ancient city. Our 12-year old son had a huge smile on his face the entire time! Matteo was such a fun personality and great tour guide for our family. Great energy while also accommodating the attention span of our family as we asked questions and got distracted with all that Rome has to offer. The gelato place had the best flavors we found in Italy (personally loved the 'Thumbelina'.) It was our son's first trip abroad and it's been a long time my husband and I, so this was an ideal "tour" while also keeping moving and having fun!!!Written 10 March 2025
- SarahCG010 contributionsHighlight of our trip to RomeHonestly one of the best things we have done! We didn’t believe all the five star reviews were legit, but thought we’d give it a try. Having done it, they are most certainly legit and it was the highlight of our Rome stay. Matteo and the team were amazing, their knowledge of Rome so impressive and we even visited some landmarks that I wasn’t expecting. Best gelato ever too!Written 6 March 2025
- Colin B0 contributionsGood fun, well worth it!!What a packed trip! Pick up point seemed deserted but a Vespa and sidecar appeared about 15 mins before start. About 3 hours of a packed tour followed, felt safe at all times despite Rome traffic. Tour guide was very informative and helpful. The Vespa and sidecar are both easy enough for anyone reasonably active so this is a highly recommended (if pricey) trip!Written 27 February 2025
- mattsD3903WY0 contributionsFantastic experience in a fantastic cityIf you are thinking of booking this trip and you are hesitating because you think it may not meet expectations don’t hesitate. - 458susanp0 contributionsSo good we'd do it again!Absolutely fantastic! We've been to Rome six times and wanted to see it from a different perspective. The Sidecar is very comfortable, even for 6 foot, 90kgs and we swapped between the back and Sidecar during our stops. The driver was great fun and we loved stopping by the Pantheon, a delicious gelato and our final approach to the Colosseum. Would definitely consider doing it again for fun!Written 19 February 2025

- beckydS6843FI0 contributionsWorth it and FUN!!!We had an amazing experience on the Vespa tour! We rode around the streets of Rome for 3 hours, listened on a headset as our guide told us about the city, had an entrance to the Pantheon along with a guided tour inside, stopped for pictures at a couple of sites and ate gelato at the best place ever! What an exciting way to explore the city! Also, the people kept staring/smiling at us as we drove around which helped us feel like VIPs! Something I appreciate is that they had blankets and warm water bags for us as it was a bit chilly. Plus, our chauffeur was "el Cubano" and we loved his Latin American energy! Highly recommend this tour!Written 14 February 2025
- H7466VUamnaa0 contributionsLoved it!!!The trip was beyond amazing! I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome. We had an amazing time with the most incredible guide Monica and the vespa rider Manuel. Will definitely remember this beautiful day.Written 11 February 2025

- chillys20250 contributionsUnforgettable Vespa Sidecar Tour in Rome! This was hands down the most fun and unique way to explore Rome! Riding through the city's charming streets in a Vespa sidecar felt like stepping into a classic Italian movie. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we had an amazing time while sharing fascinating stories about Rome’s history and hidden gems. We zipped past iconic landmarks, discovered hidden corners we would have never found on our own, and even had time for a delicious coffee stop. The ride was smooth, safe, and full of laughter—definitely an experience I’ll never forget! If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind adventure in Rome, I highly recommend this tour. It's the perfect mix of history, excitement, and authentic Italian charm!Written 7 February 2025

Hands down best tour of our 8 day visit to Rome. Started in July when I booked the tour for the wrong month and Vespa sidecar tour reimbursed my credit card with zero hassle. Finding the meetup point was super easy, the team was on time, especially engaging and took the time to walk through the intricacies of getting in and out of the sidecar. Once the tour started it was a wonderful experience with plenty of insights by our tour guide as we drove through the busy streets of Rome. Extra bonus we ran into and briefly joined a Santa bicycle parade through the streets. Plenty of great pictures and memories were made. I highly recommend this fantastic tour.

We had a fun and exhilarating time touring the city of Rome on a Vespa. This is the best way to explore an ancient city (also called the city of "open museums" per our knowledgeable guide, Alexie) veined with cobbled stoned pathways/roads. You get the combined efficiency of the optimum travelling time with enough time to admire the key sites. The Pantheon tickets and the delicious cornetti and cappuccino are included in the price of the tour tickets. Whether you are sitting behind the guide or on the side car of the Vespa, you will be the envy of other tourists (which literally happened to us while other tourists on foot waved at us and took photos of us cruising by without being affected by the heat)! We highly recommend touring Rome on a Vespa!

Visited with my wife and daughter a few days ago. A friend had mentioned seeing people driving around Rome in the Vespas with sidecars so we decided to book it. I cannot recommend this highly enough it was unforgettable and I will recommend to everyone I know who ever plans on visiting Rome. Every detail was taken care of from the pick-up to the amazing stop for pastries and providing chilled water just when you were getting warm admiring the incredible views. Monica and the team of riders were first class!

The absolute best way to see Rome. The team at Vespasidecar were excellent from start to finish. 7 of us set off at 9am with the drivers for a fantastically informative journey through the streets of Rome, covering far more ground than would be possible on foot, a bike or in a car. Winding down alleyways and flying through tunnels and roads by the Tiber added to the excitement as the main locations of Rome were explained in detail and put into context of the overall history of city. The drivers were very responsive to questions and made sure that the radio communications kept everyone connected to the main tour guide. A timely cappuchino and cornetto, with stops at the various locations nicely broke up the tour. Highly recommend the tour to anyone going to Rome. One of the highlights of what was a superb long weekend.

This was such a fun way to tour Rome!! Our guide and drivers were AMAZING and set us up with so many great family photo opportunities. We did a private tour with 2 adults and 2 young children, and our guide even came prepared with child sized gloves (with Mickey Mouse on them!) for our daughter to wear on the tour in case she got cold in the sidecar! Beyond the extra thoughtfulness towards our daughter, our guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed listening to her explain Rome's history and learn more about the areas of the city we were exploring. Traveling with 2 young children, there's no way we could've seen everything we did on this tour by simply exploring Rome on our own. From beginning to end, the tour was worth every penny. I will be recommending to anyone I know who is traveling to Rome!

I was in Rome with a friend and our 15yo daughters so, tourism was a challenge since the girls didn’t want to stand in long lines under the summer sun or try to see a painting in crowded museums. It wasn’t our first time in Rome so we had done the typical touristic routes years ago.
This time we wanted to refresh knowledge and take the teens without complaints. The Vespa Tour was the perfect match for our search because Matteo (our guide) has deep historic knowledge while you go through the city fresh in your Vespa!
Besides, you become the touristic attraction for 3 hours since people are delighted to take pictures of the motorcycles :-)
Can’t recommend it enough! It is definitively worth every euro!

This was an absolute highlight of our time in Rome.
This was a group tour with a guide who provided a radio and ear buds to share information as we rode the streets of Rome seeing some of the significant sites, with stops for photos, coffee, a walk through the Pantheon (included in the price). We had the chance to sit in the sidecar and on the back of the Vespa. It was comfortable and felt very safe with the experienced rider.
It was no problem when we had some light rain, they provided ponchos to keep us dry.
Highly recommended for any age - we would definitely do this tour again!

Romans, tourists, children, adults: don't miss this fantastic experience!!!
Rome on a Vespa is literally LOVELY and Luca is a truly engaging teller of stories and anecdotes. Our ten-year-old son was enraptured by the story and immersed in the views and stories of all times; my husband, a Roman from Rome, looked at his magnificent city with new and enchanted eyes...
It's not easy to have an experience that excites the whole family, including children!
We thank Luca and Fulvio for the wonder, light-heartedness, enchantment and amazement they gave us on this splendid day of early spring...
We really recommend EVERYONE to treat themselves to this UNIQUE experience.

So, you've arrived in the Eternal City and you want to see the sights and, like most other people, you book a walking tour.
Error.
After several hours you've not only worn down the shoe leather but also your will to live. Not as fit as you once were, the dodgy hip starts to ache as you struggle to keep up with the guide, let alone hear what they say. And when you do, your eyes glaze over with a deluge of dates and facts. And after a few months it all fades into a distant memory.
But not any more, now there is a new guy on the block.
We met up in Repubblica at 0900 for the VespaSidecarTour .com as a party of six, in Rome for the Six Nations Rugby match Italy v Scotland. We were joined by two other couples, coincidentally visiting for the rugby as well.
Luca and his team were all very smart and welcoming, the helmets (with visors) were pristine and the machines gleaming, obviously cleaned daily.
Hairnets were issued to maintain the hygiene of the helmets (excellent touch), along with radio receivers and earphones to hear Luca's informative and humorous commentary throughout the journey.
I won't list the itinerary here, go to their web site (see above) for full details.
The tour takes you far and wide visiting many attractions and some you probably wouldn't get to see, particularly if you were plodding around on foot.
Highlights include cappuccino and cornetto (croissant) near the Pantheon, Luca videoing you as you make a wish at the Trevi fountain, watching the midday gun fired from Rome's highest point, a selfie with Garibaldi, and lots of tourists videoing you, makin you feel like celebrities as you cruise by on the differently coloured machines!
The drivers are excellent, confidently navigating the traffic on the main roads through the city centre as well as the narrow lanes of Trastevere, no nervous feelings at all.
A big thank you to Luca and his crew for a terrific experience and to Caterina for the excellent communications.
This is one tour that won't fade into a distant memory!
Tips - firstly, book direct through their web site, you will pay in euros not sterling, much cheaper. Secondly, the restaurants in the city centre can be very expensive; instead, head south-west over the river to the district of Trastevere. It is a labyrinth of narrow lanes with dozens of great little restaurants and bars, most of which are much more reasonably priced and very welcoming.

This is THE best way to see the entire city in a couple of hours. Our guide, Alessio, was the most friendly and knowledgeable guide. He answered all of our questions and even gave us some restaurant and gelato recommendations. The tour itself includes a ticket inside the Pantheon and coffee and a pastry (which were delicious!). Alessio was our personal photographer and got all the right angles at the perfect scenic spots. I definitely recommend this tour in the morning as there were less crowds than in the afternoon. We did this tour on our second full day in Rome (the first we spent it at the Vatican) and it was great way to get our bearings and figure out what monuments we wanted to visit again later.

Hi,
Will the Vespa Sidecar Tour in Rome with Cappuccino or Highlights of Rome Vespa Sidecar Tour in the Afternoon with Gourmet Gelato stop available in August 2023?
Written 18 July 2023
Yes, there's quiet a few stops where you can go to the toilet (breakfast and the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain etc).
With there not being a lot of public toilet facilities around go into a café, buy a drink and ask to use their toilets. It's the quickest and easiest way to find toilets in Rome :)
Just let the guides know and they will happily help you out.

Can two people plus driver be on one Vespa with sidecar?
Written 7 June 2022
Yes, one person can sit behind the driver the other in the side car. They allow the two people to switch places so each person gets a chance to ride on the cycle or sidecar. It is completely safe and loads of fun. I highly recommend! The drivers and tour guide are great!

If I book for two people, do we both get to ride on different vespas in the sidecar or will we be on the same vespa one in the sidecar and one on the back of the motorcycle?
Written 25 January 2022
Usually, couples share the same vespa, but with the amount of stops made, couples will switch (riding in the sidecar & riding on the vespa with a driver) so you both have ample opportunities to be in the sidecar.
