      Not worth it
This looked like a good idea to 'see' Rome though the ages. You 'fly' through the screen on a very bumpy ride - like riding over cobblestones and watch as a time travelling professor interacts with Romulus & Remus and Michelangelo... Save your money.

This is unexpectedly brilliant - I would do it again in a heartbeat!
This isn't the typical cheap 5D experience with a bit of water and the occasional vibration, I did the evolution of life and my god, it was actually like experiencing the beginning of the universe and the creation of life, the dinosaurs, the ice age, everything. It really blew my mind, I wanted to do it again but I had such a short stay in Rome I didn't have time. I also did the history of Rome one, definitely not half as good as the evolution one but if you like history it is cool to listen to the development of Rome. I only wish I had watched the evolution of life twice as there was so much to take in!

      Interesting
This is a 5D time machine ride. There are a few different combo’s you can book. We booked The History of Rome + The Evolution of life 5D It cost €16 instead of 18 as it’s out of season, both shows will take about 1hour to complete, They also have on combo 3 The House of Terror which is more inclined for children. After the show you can dress up like the Roman’s and they will take pictures for you on your mobiles, it’s a fun thing to do. They cater for most languages they ask you when you book the tickets which language you prefer and when you go in to watch the shows they tell you which Time Machine capsule you need to sit in, if there are any small children pregnant women or anyone suffering with motion sickness please tell them beforehand as they put you in a different time machine capsule that doesn’t move around as the normal time machine capsules move around and can it can be very bumpy very quickly, please be aware that on the Time Capsule machines you also feel drizzling rain and Wind affects. In all it’s a very interesting thing to do. There is also a Souvenir shop available here and also bathroom / toilets facilities

      Don’t waste your money
This was so bad it was almost funny. Somehow I thought the house of horror might be something to do with the history of Rome, but it’s just a very poor imitation of a Disney ride. The 3D history of Rome is just watching a poor, unfactual video whilst being thrown around in your seat.

Good for a quick overview of the history of Rome
We visited here mainly to get out of the heat of the day, and to learn a little bit of the city's history. Staff were very friendly, the show is basically a film show chronicling the history of Rome. It was quite good and we have no complaints. We got what we paid for.

Very Mediocre, Not worth the time or the money
I've seen some similar experiences in other places and this seems to me the least impressive of all. Mostly boring and the effects were mediocre at best.

Great for 60-minutes History of Roman Culture
Great for anyone who’s interested in Roman history. It was fun, engaging and breathtaking. I loved those 3D models of recreation of stuff that I couldn’t imagine myself.

Educational, but difficult to focus on the education. Feared for my life.
We bought tickets to this because you got an education on Rome and tickets to the colosseum. I still like the idea of learning about Rome in this way, and it’s a fun way to get kids involved in history, but it’s certainly not 5d and I genuinely feared for my life during the show. The noise and the abruptness of the way this ride moves is terrifying. I thought the ride was going to malfunction. The language was in Russian even though we were told to sit at the English language section, and when trying to get someone’s attention, no one was there. We had to shout for about minute and a half before someone came to help us. I felt very unsafe after that. If someone took some sort of seizure, or there was another type of emergency in there, I don’t see the lazy staff bothering to check after that. The staff were quite rude to some members of the other party during this visit, too. This was a mother and her little boy. She was upset as her son only speaks German and the intro is in Italian and English. They also told us about the “no guide books” thing. Feels like a scam to me. Maybe buy some dvds or watch some YouTube videos on Ancient Rome with the kids before you go!

      Poor experience
This lasts about 30minutes, the technology is poor and it’s certainly not worth the money. Very little learnt, just shaken up. Water pistols are low tech not 5D.

I do not get motion sickness but...
Both my partner and I had high hopes for this as we'd been on the time travel experience in Vienna which was really good and informative! Let me start with the main issue, the seats do not move with the video. This means that with several large screens moving in opposite directions from which your body is moving, even those like myself who do not get sea sick or travel sick, probably will get feelings of motion sickness from this. The content was OK but a lot of the information displayed as text was shown too fast to read and the sudden jolts the seats would give every so often put you in no position to not want to even concentrate on reading anything! I would never do this again and would not recommend as this did not add anything to the experience of Rome.

Picture quality poor, but kids liked it.
I was personally very disappointed as I thought the low quality of the film was very annoying on both the Evolution 5D and the History of Rome film which looked as though it was filmed in early 90’s. On top of that I think 2 of the 3 projectors weren’t working correctly. Having said all this my 8 year old daughter enjoyed it which was the reason for our visit.

      Nothing adds up
Booked the ‘History of Rome’ as we also purchased entry to the Colosseum here. Advertises a free Rome guide book but upon paying told they have none left. Checking on here now, this has happened since May at least so obviously you’re not getting a book. Take the advert down then! The times on the board outside don’t correspond to the start times of the show either so we missed the show and had to wait for almost an hour when we arrived back to watch. The show is quick and jumps from the birth of a city to the current day in 25 minutes. It’s just not informative, you learn nothing more than you likely already know. The machine jolts you about and is not in sync with anything. It’s like watching a tv whilst someone shoves you. Shame as wanted to love this as the idea is great. The execution unfortunately is trapped in 1980.

We first tried the Time Elevator a few years ago and throughly enjoyed it. So, when visiting Rome again we decided it would be great to take our son to see it. Firstly, it is not as advertised, it is not 3D. It costs €12 ppn and you sit in movable seating with headphones on and there are wind and water effects. The seating is good quality and effective but the headphones are poor quality, with intermittent sound. The film itself was also poor picture quality, split across three screens, each screen a different colour. The brief history is okay. When the show ends you are quickly exited directly from the theatre onto the street. We were overall disappointed and felt our €36 could have been spent better elsewhere.

Dear thegalls, We are very sorry that you couldn't enjoy the Time Elevator Experience for 100% and for misunderstanding. The History of Rome is not 3D experience, it includes special effects as wind, water, sound and movable seatings. As 3D we offer the following movies: The Evolution of Life and the House of Horror. We are sorry for the headphones that were recently changed. We hope to see you very soon in order to provide you a better service! Kind regards.

We went to this with high expectations, having been to similar attractions in other locations. This was a waste of money and 45 minutes that I will never get back.
Of the 45 minutes, there is probably15 at best that is actually showing much about the history of Rome and the ancient Roman period is way too brief. Instead, there is a ridiculous amount of cheesy footage of the so-called inventor of the time machine used to produce the footage.
Additionally, the movements of the carriage that you sit in to watch the show seemed to bear little coordination with the show itself and there were numerous times where it jerked quite strongly for no apparent reason. Maybe it was to make sure you were still awake.
The show may appeal to very young viewers but for anyone else, I would recommend saving your money and spending your time seeing the real history of Rome.

Dear guest, We're sorry you couldn't enjoy our show. Time Elevator is more than 10 years on the market and till now 200000 people annually from all over the world enjoy our experience. Our product is aimed at families with children and those who would like to start their Roman tour with knowing some history and main events of the eternal city. Time Elevator is a flight simulator and this is the reason why many tourists are choosing us. For those who can't stay at the moving platforms for some reason can choose the fixed one. As for the movie, I guess it's quite personal whether to like it or not. We are going to launch a new movie soon! And hope to see you again!

    The Elevator show

In our Europe tour during April -May 2019 by Chariot Travels , Bangalore,we stayed in hotel Midas Roma ,which is located in a strategic position with very good services .
On 5th of May, we were taken to Roma Passport,Time Elevator Show , about Ancient Rome in 3-D . Before entering the theatre ,there was a display of Roman costumes ,military clothing and armaments , miniature replicas of historical places and some literature which gave a peep into their culture .Later we went through a room where there were projections on walls explaining Roman history. It was like a prelude to the exciting show that we were about to watch ......the Saga of Roman history with 3 wide panoramic screens ,with multi sensory experience , combining incredible video and sound effects with moving platforms .It was so impressive that we felt that we travelled through a time machine ,witnessing from Romulus and Remus to Julius Caesar to the renaissance and to the present day . The show reconstructed the crucial events of Roman history and the important places now in ruins which enabled us to visualise them without much effort. The show was was very informative and set us into right mood.
    It is worth watching

I Took my daughter who"s 30 and my 3 grandchildren 5,9,and 10. First of all you are ushered to see history of rome by looking at info on a projected walls..of how it all started. How the emperors ruled..then we was ushered again into a Large Cinema screened room...there were individual family seatings like 2 rows of 5 or 6 like you are going to sit in a rollercoaster ride..but you dont leave the room? The seatings filled up quickly and a bar goes over your lap (think of the first film of Jurrassic park? When the scientists are lead into a seated area that goes around the lab? Its exactly like that!)..then suddenly all the lights go down..after you put your visors on..theres different sizes for adults and children
The screen starts and your expetiences starts..like a simulator of feeling foorsteps..running...the 3D/4D is brilliant my grandchildren were "oohing and gasping" as sea creatures swam around them..dinosaurs walking with them...you do get moved left..right..slight dipping and slight dipping backwards..NOTHING is Bad..now i have a bad back and I suffered no discomfort.. i must say it was a little expensive but "When in Rome, experience what the Romans did..and life" haha
    Enjoy the experience
.Im going back 2020 April and taking my 14yr old son... as if you enjoy VR games this will be for you.

Didn’t live up to expectations at all. Concept was good and kids learnt some stuff but the fairground ride bit was frankly frightening and seemed broken as it crunched and clunked and spun - quite unnecessarily. Don’t bother .

Sorry to say - this is a tourist trap - i think. 15 Euros/person for 2 shows (with Family discount) ????
Bad picture quality in History of Rome “movie”. We had hoped for Real 5D experience as announced. Hard to see how this is 5 dimmensions , yes if you count 1; Picture, 2; Sound, 3; Movings seating, 4; Wind (from a Fan) and 5; a little water in your head. Right?? The picture about evolution OK in 3D effect, but an overall bad animated movie, was not expected.

Ok to spend time here on a rainy Day, with nothing else to do!!
