This tour set our Rome meals up for success! Robbie was our guide, and he took us to a number of great restaurants. After the tour, he emailed other restaurant suggestions around popular Rome attractions, and we ended up using that list exclusively. That list produced two of my top recommendations when visiting Rome, and a third location must be a hit since we passed by Joseph Bastianich from MasterChef eating there! Robbie did an excellent job telling us about the restaurants we visited as well as the areas we were passing through. He was easy to talk to, and he helped our group connect and feel like a group of friends. I can't say enough good things about him! We did this tour on our first day in Rome, and it definitely was the right decision so that we knew how to orient ourselves food wise. We went to:
Vivi Bistrot:Piazza Navona (Spritz, Beer and Coffee)
Forno Roscioli: Via dei Chiavari (Roman Pizza and Suppli)
I Dolci di Nonna Vincenza: Via dell'arco del monte (Cannoli)
Ruggeri: Campo de' Fiori (Salami and Cheeses)
Terra di Siena: Piazza Pasquino (Cacio e Pepe, Amatriciana and Carbonara pasta)
Frigidarium: Via del Governo Vecchio (Gelato)

From Robbie's later list, I highly recommend:

What a fab thing to do. being taken around some of the best spots in Roma to sample food that the wonderful people of this incredible city love to hang out with friends over and consume.

Our tour guide Federico was so cool, funny, knowledgable and entertaining with a great rapport.

Thoroughly recommend this activity and if you get to hand out for three hours with some other great people also with a love for food and Rome then even better.

This was such a great way to enjoy some of the best local flavours, see different parts of the city (and learn a little history along the way) and meet some fantastic new people! Our guide, Robbie, was easy-going and knowledgeable, and we had such a fun-loving group, it quickly felt like a group of friends exploring the city together instead of strangers who met mere minutes earlier. The food/restaurant choices were excellent and we never felt rushed at any of our locations.

Highly recommend booking this experience, and if you can, ask for Robbie!

Loved this food tour! Robbie was a great guide, explained the food we were eating and also very knowledgeable about the history of the area. The itinerary was well spaced between eating, walking, and getting a little history lesson (but not too much). The food was so good and there was a lot of it. We added the drink package which was well worth it. We did this tour at the beginning of our stay and got a lot of recommendations from our host on local restaurants and foods to explore.

We booked this food tour last minute and we were not disappointed! Massimiliano was an exceptional guide with so much knowledge about the city of Rome but also some great stories about the origins of the delicious foods we got to taste. It was easy to see that a lot of time had gone into choosing the perfect places to eat. The food was of the highest quality. It was hard to find anything that matched the quality when we searched for places ourselves.
I would highly recommend this tour and Massimiliano as a tour guide!

Before travelling to Rome we booked a Secret Food Tour with the optional drinks package and last weekend we spent a very pleasant few hours sampling the local food and drink. Our group was fairly small, initially seven but two had to leave early for another tour they had mistakenly booked at the same time. The tour was very relaxed, catered to vegetarians and Silvia, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, dispensed interesting facts, answered our questions and allowed us plenty of time at each stop. I won’t say much about the food, as part of the enjoyment is discovering what comes next but I will say that everything we ate, and drank, was very tasty. So much so that over the following days we returned to some of the establishments as we wanted to sample more of their fare. On the strength of our experience in Rome we are now looking to book a Secret Food Tour during a trip to Porto later this year. Please pass on our thanks to Silvia for a very enjoyable tour.

We were excited to take the Rome Sunday Food Tour, especially after taking the Trastevere tour the night before. We were ecstatic when we arrived at the meeting point and saw our same guide -- Rocio! Same guide, different locations! Rocio once again picked unique spots, and we had a great time wandering and eating our way around the city. The food was absolutely incredible, and Rocio is knowledgeable and FUN! We highly recommend this tour! Thanks for a great time, Rocio! Can't wait to see you again!

Our family of four really enjoyed this tour. Firstly all the food was delicious and all the tastings were really spread out so you never were sick of eating too much of the one type of food. It is definitely worth getting the upgraded drinks package for the adults. Our tour guide Giada was so wonderful. Not only was she very friendly and not only did she take good care of us at all of our food stops, but she was also a brilliant tour guide giving us a fantastic overview of all the attractions we passed and also giving us lots of information about the local Roman culture. Even my 12 and 15 year old boys loved the tour and the food and they can be a hard audience to please. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome. Try and do it early in your stay and only eat a very light breakfast before it.

Our guide, Massimiliano, was excellent. He’s very friendly and knowledgeable. We really loved the stop at the coffee shop and trying suppli. The tasting at the salumeria was also excellent. I would recommend starting with this tour when you go to Rome so you can get to know the food, culture and neighborhoods at the beginning and so you can return to these shops later in your trip.

This was a great tour and a great way to start off our trip in Rome. Our guide, Robbie, was incredible and incorporated history without a boring lecture. He was amazing with my mom when she got a little overheated and was patient and went the extra mile to make sure she was ok. Highly recommend this tour - the meat and cheese shop is to die for! Thanks Robbie for an incredible intro to Rome!
