Authentic Valencian Paella Cooking Class
From US$ 80.11
Overview
Paella’s often misidentified as a generic Spanish dish, but in fact both the meal and word itself originate from Valencia. Discover the truth about this internationally popular meal at a cooking class held in a traditional farmhouse near the Albufera Natural Park. Enjoy a hands-on experience and learn the best cooking methods from experienced teachers, then dine on your creation in a relaxing spot among orange trees and rice fields.
What to Expect

Begin your experience with pickup from your hotel, and set off on a journey that takes you through the Natural Park of Albufera and past its iconic lagoon, before arriving at the farmhouse ‘Huerto de Consuelin’, located south of the city.

Admire the orange orchards and rice paddies that surround the authentic country house, and meet your instructor, who will show you the proper ingredients and best techniques for preparing a proper paella. Cook, chat and learn from your experienced teacher, and when the dish is ready, settle down for a memorable dining experience with your group. Relax in the rural landscape, and enjoy your homemade, authentic Valencian lunch.

At the end of your visit, hop back in your transport and relax as you return to your accommodation, with a satisfied stomach and new insight into the meal’s recipe and symbolism.
