Gerona free tour was perfect and our guide tour Dani did a fantastic job. The way he explained, things to do and the knowledge about Girona.

        Great tour
Very informative, fun, and the local snacks were a treat. Of course, we don't know the actual history so we're assuming everything was mostly factually correct, but even if it wasn't we were told a nice story. The bonus was the excellent lunch suggestion.

        Great visit to Girona
Getting off at the Girona train station and walking to the old part of town left us wondering what we had signed up for. But, once you hit the town square you see the charm of this village. Our guide was Johnny Mark. While many guides in Europe really enhance the experience of a visit, Johnny was a picture of excellence. He was expressive, engaging and entertaining! He really puts himself at the top of what you could hope for in a tour guide.

        Great Tour from Girona
The towns we visited were interesting and picturesque. At every turn was another photo opportunity. Gino our guide offered a good amount of history but not so much that you’re overwhelmed. We had plenty of time at each stop and never felt rushed. Our group size was 6 which made it very intimate and easy to maneuver around. I highly recommend this tour!

        Interesting, informative and Exciting
Our first happy surprise was that it was a private tour with just the three of us (my mum is 77 years) and Gino (our excellent driver and guide). For some reason, I had assumed there would be a bus-load of people. After that, Gino took us to all the loveliest of places and he was great in terms of information and historical knowledge. He provided us with history and legends of witches and customs in the area. He even gave us a surprise breakfast that we absolutely did not expect. He was thoughtful and very kind and the day trip itinerary was very well though out. He was entertaining and absolutely on time, when he mentioned he'd be there. Peratallada was beautiful and Pals was charming. I think Pals had lots more to offer. Begur was lovely, but since we did spend a lot more time in Peratallada and Pals, we had a short stop at Begur. Calella de Palafrugell was absolutely beautiful and it would be great to have more time there, but we relaxed so much at our lunch by the sea, we did not have much time to explore the scenic walks. He was great at his recommendation on the best places to eat lunch. Enjoyed the day trip and wish it was longer. Glad we did it with Girona Explorers even if we had to get up early to take the train from Barcelona

        Great tour of Girona
Juan Marc (sp?) was an excellent tour guide - very engaging, excited about his beautiful city, and spoke excellent English. The tour was the perfect length to get a good feel for the city and especially the older quarters. The food stop was for a delicious cream-filled pastry and an interesting local drink. Great tour!

Happy we booked with Girona Explorers.
Quimi was a wonderful guide. We were driven to Púbol to see Gala’s home, Cadeques, and Port Lligat to see Dali’s home. Quimi arranged all of the tickets and lunch at Cap de Creus. I highly recommend Girona Explorers. Communication was good and everything was as advertised.

Fantastic tour with Joan through Girona old town
We did the English language walking tour through Girona old town. Joan was our guide and he was amazing! Really knowledgeable, extremely engaging and super interesting. I went with my parents and we had a great time. It was above my expectations.

A great way to get to know the city, with a really great guide!
We really enjoyed this tour. Juan Mark was very knowledgeable & enthusiastic about Girona. He clearly loves his city! The length of the tour was perfect and we saw so much. I’d highly recommend it on the 1st or 2nd day if your holiday.

        Girona history and legends tour
Our guide Jean Marc was very knowledgeable and had an engaging style keeping us interested and entertained. The walking tour was well paced with a pause half way through for some delicious local pastry and drink. We definitely learned a lot about the history of Girona and would highly recommend this tour if you are new to this town.

Great way to see highlights of Girona
Great tour that really shows you the highlights of the city. Definitely recommend you do this on your first day in the city as we mapped out the rest of our trip based on areas we saw but wanted to discover more. Jean Marc was an excellent tour guide and even gave us recommendations at the end for places to eat and other things to do (which we did go try!).

A very interesting tour delving into Dalí’s art and life. Nuria, our guide, talked us through the artists personal and artistic life, sharing photographs during the journey to Figueres. We the. Went to Dali’s museum/ theatre, followed by lunch in Cadaques and then on to a visit to Dalí’s house in Port Lligat. Nuria made sure everyone was ok and kept us engaged, she shared anecdotes and a few insiders tips. I would recommend this tour.

Our tour guide “Ventura” is very knowledgeable about Dali and passionate of his work, Ventura brings the museums experience to a whole different level of depth and breadth, I believe everyone in our group really enjoyed!

Also he is very friendly & patient with Children & Seniors in our group, I highly recommended having a tour and request if possible to have him as tour guide, really great experience.

And the trip is well organized, a must visit for Dali lovers or anyone interested in Art.

Wonderful to travel off season, plenty of space and time to enjoy and take photos compared to summer.

A few suggestions to the company to have ear phone/ microphone, car ventilation to back seats & maybe separate a smokers or non-smokers group.

Over all it was so great I will be back again!

We booked this trip via Viator. Daniel picked us up with a colleague in training Pau. They were prompt and met us in the designated pick up location when stated. It was lovely to chat and have them drive us out to the sites. We went in a regular car since it was the off-season there was just the two of us on this trip, so it ended up being a private tour which was great! We went to Cap de Creus Natural Park and its lighthouse because the Dalí castle was closed for the offseason and we traded these sites to fill the time which was a fantastic choice. The lighthouse and the park were gorgeous and one of the best views we had the whole trip. We then went to Dalí's house, lunch in Cadaqués, then to Figueres to visit the Dalí museum.

Daniel and Pau were both fun to chat with and we appreciate the tour navigating all the logistics as far as transportation and purchasing the tickets (we paid for the tickets but that was made clear when booking so that was all good).

We would have appreciated some lunch suggestions in Cadaqués, so if you go, I'd suggest researching where you may want to eat on your own so you're prepared. Especially during off-season since the one place Daniel mentioned was closed that time of year. I didn't feel we had enough time to find a good place and simply went to one nearby with a good view.

They don't go into the house or museum with you, which was my expectation when booking, but just wanted to also state that so its clear for anyone reading the reviews. The Dalí house has a tour guide throughout your visit.

Definitely recommend going to these sites and using Girona Explorers. I would have liked a little bit more history and facts in the car-ride about the areas we were visiting or even Girona itself. We had great conversations just chatting with each other and about life in general but I was hoping for more tidbits during the drive. Probably would get some if you prompt them and specifically ask for some of the history.

Dani and Quim are charming and amusing hosts. The time of our tour was changed due to a problem with opening times. Dani kept me informed well in advance by text. We were picked up on time outside our apartment and driven with 3 other clients to Figueres. Dani and Quim did not come with us into the treatre but they did take us to the door and ensure we got tickets etc. Personally I preferred that as I already admire Dali and didn’t want to be taken around in a tour. We had 1.5 hour at the museum but I could have spent longer. However that’s probably me getting carried away with Dali. We were then taken to Port lligat where entrance times are very strict. That was also interesting although an hour was enough. We then went to lunch and on to pubol. We spent another hour in pubol which to me was the least interesting part of the triangle. Possibly because it was more about Gala than Dali. Dani and Quim then took us home. It’s was a long day with lots of driving which Dani and Quim did in turn. I had tried to organise this tour myself but it was too difficult organising time slots and bookings. You are given 20 minute time slots for the museums and if you are late they are given away. You can only visit Port lligat with advanced booking and parking is limited. Thank you Dani and Quim for taking all the stress from the day. It was a wonderful. Please note that you will end good footwear for this tour, there are lots of steps and uneven surfaces.
