About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- hannahsT450TS0 contributionsAmazing Experience! This tour was absolutely amazing! I wish I could remember our guide’s name because she was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the Monastery. The tour begins with about 1.5 hours to explore the Monastery, giving plenty of time to take in the sights. After that, you're transported to the horseback riding experience, which lasts around an hour. The horseback riding guides were fantastic—super helpful and reassuring. I hadn’t ridden in a while and was a bit nervous, but they were so kind and made me feel completely at ease. The landscape was stunning, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The weather was also amazing in October. Highly recommend this tour!Written 11 February 2025

Rob was very knowledgeable and going down into the caves where the cava is aged was an amazing experience. There are many stairs more going down than coming up, the tasting was classy and delicious at both wineriesWritten 22 January 2025
- Robert W0 contributionsWorth doing - educational and satisfyingHad a great walking tour of the original Barcelona. Attended a Flamenco dance and had tapas down in the Barcelonetta. Carlos was a great guide! He was friendly and made the day go by so quickly. He was a wealth of knowledge and able to tell us about each stop. He provided us with recommendations for our free time. I liked that each place started with tours/education followed by free time (~30-60min depending on the stop). Highly recommend not getting the add on lunch because you spend the entire lunch hour at the restaurant and can’t do any exploring. I was able to see one of the museums in the Jewish quarter, walk around, and eat all while that group was stuck at the restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

We had an incredible day exploring Montserrat, Girona, and Costa Brava with our tour guide, Jimena. From the moment we met her, Jimena’s warm and friendly personality set the tone for a perfect day. She was extremely knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the history and culture of each location in a way that kept us engaged and excited.
At Montserrat, Jimena guided us through the stunning monastery and surrounding landscape, making sure we didn’t miss any hidden gems. In Girona, she took us through the charming streets, pointing out significant landmarks while allowing us to experience the local atmosphere at our own pace. By the time we reached Costa Brava, we felt like we had seen the best of the region, all while enjoying a relaxed and scenic day.
Jimena’s attention to detail and ability to tailor the tour to our interests made the experience truly special. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and that we got the most out of our visit. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Jimena – her passion for the region shines through and made our day unforgettable!

Such a perfect day trip with the best sampling of these three amazing places surrounding Barcelona. We were blessed with incredible sunny weather and Lucas was a superb tour guide with our group of 30.
If one wants to touch the black Madonna at Montserrat you will need to purchase separate tickets in advance 1.5 hours after departure time.
We opted not to do lunch with the group (heard from others was good) because we wanted to explore more of the city of Giorna (Arab Baths, Muralles de Girona) We ended up having 45 minutes to get lunch at The Rivers just minutes from our meet up spot. Everything about our day was perfect with absolutely no stress. Time on the bus was good to review photos or rest up those walking feet.

This tour was incredibly In depth and covered such a broad range of places. The information that has been gathered for every piece of this tour. Our tour guide, Jose Carlos was an incredibly enthusiastic and impressively patient guide. He greeted all of us with smiles and was always incredibly courteous as well. Jose also took the time to get to know everyone in the group on top of providing mountains of information at each stop and during the walks between. This was an absolutely amazing tour, definitely one of the most cost worthy and broad tours I’ve ever been on and it was worth every penny.

Bosco was our guide and did a great job given the circumstances. They overbooked our group (34 tourists), and didn't have an appropriate sized bus, so we left almost 90 min late.
The drive time to Montserrat is 45 min, and we arrived right as mass started, so we weren't able to go in right away. We got about 30 min of free time, then barely got to see inside montestary because the boys choir was about to sing which limited access.
2 hour bus ride to Girona got us there at 3, with limited restaurants open. My friend ans I ran off to get Xioxo crema pastries and rushed back to eat during our 1 hour free time.
Bosco walked us through town and showed is some Game of Thrones scenes. Unfortunately the cathedral and church closed right as we approached, and we left at 445.
We went to Lloret de Mar just in time to run up the hill (literally) and catch sunset views, then rush back to the bus.
I would never recommend this whole tour to anyone. Do Montserrat separately and enjoy Girona and Lloret on your own.

Tour Date: September 4, 2024 | Montserrat, Girona, and Costa Brava
Despite the weather not cooperating, I believe it was a blessing in disguise. The fog and stormy conditions made for a unique and memorable experience, and our driver, Raul, navigated the challenging weather with skill and ensured we reached the Mountain of Montserrat safely. In hindsight, if it hadn’t been raining, the heat, especially in Girona, could have made the day less enjoyable.
Our guide, Audrey, was exceptional. She is incredibly knowledgeable and patient, always ready to answer our questions or even research the answers if she didn’t know them. Both Raul and Audrey made sure everyone in the group felt safe and were back on the bus on time.
Girona is a stunning city with added charm due to its connection with Game of Thrones. However, the city’s rich history is far more impressive, and Audrey’s explanations brought it all to life. We also enjoyed a delicious meal of traditional Catalan dishes at Lepadits, where the chef and owner were welcoming and accommodating. Every dish served was a delight to my taste buds.
We ended our day with a short tour of Tossa de Mar in Costa Brava. Once again, Audrey’s knowledge of the history of the area was evident and added depth to the experience.
I highly recommend this tour, and I would specifically ask for Audrey as your guide if you want a truly enriching experience.

Today was good day with views of three beautiful places within Barcelona. Our tour guide Roger knew his history and was able to share based on location we were visiting. We had some issues during the tour, there were some who yelled at him but Roger kept cool and even bought entire tour bus ice cream to make up for making rest of us wait for those that paid for lunch with tour (restaurant issues at Giorna). Overall good day with lots of learning and experiencing beautiful sights

Amazing locations and great guides. I wish we had more time at Montserrat but it’s already a 12 hour tour. One thing to note - the lunch in Girona is delicious… however, it eliminates having free time to explore the cathedral, city wall, etc. If you’re more interested in eating a quick lunch and exploring Girona - opt out of the lunch. There are a bunch of great options to eat closer to the sites.

As a first timer i would recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in a bit of nature and beautiful natural spots away from the city life, as it gives you a taste of three different spots in one day. Our guide Bosco was amazing and quite entertaining as well. He managed the trip quite well in terms of managing 16 people and timing the spots wrt to entry and exit so that each place gets good amount of time. Though the time was enough but due to the spots being so beautiful you may crave to spend some more time especially in Montserrat and Tossa de maar. Not to forget that our driver Ruben did a good job as well of transporting us safely from across points and back to Barcelona.

Just finished this tour. It’s a taste of the 3 locations. Really enjoyed it. Bosco
was our tour guide and was very informative and helpful. I did not like that the museum in the Jewish quarter of Gerona was closed since it was Sunday. At Monserrat some tourists came in with tickets for the liquor tasting and a sample of Coqo bread. That was not part of our tour but I would have liked it to be. I paid separately for the tasting, but the only way to get to try the delicious bread was to buy a huge loaf, which we did, and ate the whole thing! I also wish we had a bigger taste of Costa Bravo. I would have liked to have had more time in the shops there. I would even go back there for a separate trip. Our time in Barcelona is limited. Taking this tour helped to get to see places we wouldn’t have been able to see based on the amount of time we had in Barcelona. As for the many comments about the meeting place, it was changed last night and we were told at first to only take public transportation because of some streets closing. After calling, and having them check street closures, they said we could take a cab. As seniors in a strange country I did not want to take public transport, not knowing where we were going. The first cab driver refused to take us to the location and was confused. The second one took us. Everyone got there in time. Glad we went on this tour.

We are thinking about signing up for this trip but have a few questions.
1. Can you confirm the meeting place where we start and end in Barcelona? Depending on which website we view this trip, we get different starting locations.
2. Should we have breakfast before arriving to the meeting place or will there be opportunities to buy food before lunch?
3. Can you tell me more about lunch in Girona?
How long is the lunch break? About what time does it start and end?
For the upgrade option for lunch, what is the name of the restaurant and what is the menu?
If we choose to explore and get lunch on our own, how will that work? Where will the bus drop us off, and will it be in an area where there are several eating spots to choose from? Will you give us some restaurant recommendations? How do we meet up later with the others who chose the upgrade option for lunch?
Are most restaurants open on Monday?
3. Are all tickets to attractions included in this tour? Are there any extra fees we should know about (e.g., ticket to the Black Madonna, tickets for the funicular)?
4. Any discount for our group of 4 people?
5. Do you haver a toll free number or phone number in the United States we can call if we have more questions?
Thank you

No extra fees. To see the black Madonna you will need to do only that at Monserrat. Long line when we were there. The lunch was great we opted for the lunch. Very good. Did not notice what else we could have eaten. I know there were other places but I think everyone chose to eat with the group. Meeting place was a few blocks away from public transport. We walked. Be prepared that it is cold up in the mountains. I bought a sweatshirt!
