Overview
Learn to shop, cook and eat like a Spaniard during a private, 4-hour gourmet experience in Barcelona with a professional chef. Explore the vibrant produce and food stalls of La Boqueria market, and discover the essential ingredients of Spanish cuisine. Hear the history and traditions behind Spain’s most distinctive foods as you prepare a menu of classic dishes, from seafood paella to creamy mussels and a hearty Spanish omelet. Enjoy the foods you’ve prepared alongside wine a full menu of Spanish favorites in a private, comfortable lounge.
What to Expect
Meet your professional chef and guide for the day in Plaça Reial at 3pm to begin your 4-hour gourmet adventure in Barcelona. Follow your guide on foot to nearby La Boqueria, Barcelona's most iconic public market, where you'll learn about traditional Catalan dishes and ingredients, as well as the history of the market itself.

Tie on your apron and head to a private studio kitchen to get cooking. With the help of a professional chef and assistant, prepare classic Spanish dishes, like seafood paella, Spanish omelette, muscles with sauce and Crema Catalana, a quintessential Catalan dessert. As you cook, you'll learn more about the history of tapas in Spain. Each participant will have a table with an apron, ingredients, and a recipe booklet with step-by-step instructions.

Finish your culinary experience by sitting down in a private lounge to enjoy the dishes you've prepared, served to you with your choice of regional wine, beer, soda or water. The class should wrap up at Plaça Reial around 7pm.
