Overview
Follow in the footsteps of innovative artist Salvador Dali during a full-day trip to the Dali Theatre-Museum in Figueres from Barcelona. Enter the magnificent mind of Dali when you step foot inside the renowned museum, conceived and curated by Dali himself. Immerse yourself in the aesthetic eccentricity of his paintings and sculptures and gain further insight into the artist’s life and works from an accomplished guide. Enjoy the convenience of round-trip transportation by high-speed train and upgrade to include a stop in the provincial town of Girona.
What to Expect
Emerge early and depart from your central Barcelona hotel in comfortable eco-taxi. Arrive at the station then climb aboard a high-speed train to Figueres; admire the scenery during your short journey then travel in an air-conditioned minivan to the site of the mesmerizing museum.
Delve into the diverse collection of works by Salvador Dalí, perusing paintings and sculptures that comprise the largest assortment of his works in the world. Listen as your guide illuminates the broad range of work then immerse yourself in a 3-dimensional living room installation. Stimulate your senses with mind-bending holographic art and delight in a collection of jewelry designed by Dali himself. Peer down to Dali’s final resting place in a crypt below the stage and visit an antique theater to admire the glass geodesic dome that crowns the stage.
After your enriching experience, return to the station and relax during the train journey back to bustling Barcelona.
Alternatively, if you have upgraded, disembark at Girona to explore the medieval myriad of impressive monuments and tangled streets. Witness the influence diverse cultures and religions have had on the architecture of the 2,000-year old city and delight in the colorful array of buildings that decorate the banks of the Onyar River.
Return to the train for the remaining journey to central Barcelona, where the tour concludes.

Yes, you could spend more time at Dali Museum and Girona. However, you would not have spent the day with Laura. This young lady is a commensurate professional. Her guidance through the museum was exceptional. Her love of Girona was palpable. And she was amazingly...More

From the time the taxi picked us up in the morning and our return to the train station at the end of the day it was about 10 hours (this includes the side trip to Girona).
