Girona and Costa Brava Tour from Barcelona
US$ 104.76
Overview
Checking off the medieval city of Girona and villages of Costa Brava in a day from Barcelona is a big ask if you're doing it independently. This tour lets you scratch both off your list with no transportation worries—whisking you to Girona and two other historical towns you might otherwise easily miss. Plus, there’s a guide to bring the sights to life and an opportunity to swim at a Costa Brava cove.
What to Expect
Board an air-conditioned vehicle in central Barcelona, and travel through the picturesque Catalan countryside to Girona.

Learn about the city’s long past from your guide, and on arrival, enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town. See the 11th-century Cathedral and Roman-era walls, and get free time to stroll independently.

Continue to Pals, a cobbled town coiled beneath the remains of a castle and, after an introductory tour, enjoy free time to explore. Then, pass Begur’s medieval castle on route to the Costa Brava seaside village of Calella de Palafrugell, famous for its rugged coves.

Get free time for lunch (own expense) or to relax, perhaps choosing to swim from a cove or stroll around the clifftop Cap Roig botanical gardens (own expense).

After reconvening at a pre-arranged time, your tour finishes at the original starting point in Barcelona.

This was an excellent day trip with a small group (about 22 we think). Our tour guide was Nicholas and he provided good commentary throughout as we moved from one location to next. He also made sure we knew where to go in each city...More

Great beach time, nice souvenirs, but too much reference to Game of Throne scenes

Overall, i think this tour is great. We went through Girona and Pals, the two medieval villages/town on our way to the costa brava, the beach time was amazing, so many beautiful beaches for you to select, and they are all poster card picture-worthwhile. We...More

It’s a fancy bus trip...

It was ok but hardly a “tour.” More accurately its a private bus to 3 spots with some very limited guide/history added. A good way to go if you don’t feel comfortable doing the trip to girona yourself. But if you do, that’s better way...More

It's about an hour to get to Girona where you'll get a tour and then about 1.5 hours to explore by yourself. Then there's a 45 minute drive to Costa brava where you get a short tour and about 2 hours for yourself. The drive... More
