Tour star at 6:30 PM (local time) and I lead you through the historic Old Town, , a Basque wine cellar, tasting “Txakoli”, before following the crowds to the next spot. We visit classics and the top avant garde experimental pintxo bars, where you will sample pintxos. Our tour finish visiting an old Basque's Gastronomic Society (members only). You will know some fellow members while enjoying our local cider and food. There’s no better overview of the city’s food scene. You will discover a unique sensory and culinary experience when you enter the door of a Basque's Gastronomic Society in Old Town and watch as a traditional lunch is prepared. We dive straight into the culinary heart of the city for a night of eating and drinking unlike any you’ve ever experienced. From fresh prawns to line-caught baby squid to perfectly charred steak, the pintxo hunt changes nightly but always features a range of traditional spots and chic, avant-garde bars. Come thirsty, too, as we’ll be pairing each pintxo with the perfect pour, cider, local whites and reds.
