About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Odoll0 contributionsGreat tourThe tour was great. We learned a lot and were able to see the busy tubo area with a local which helped us get comfortable going back that night. The tapas was great and plenty to eat and drink. Overall an exceptional experience.Written 12 January 2025
- Escape017224074760 contributionsGreat experience! We had a delightful evening with Marta. She shared information about the local wines and tapas unique to spots in Zaragoza while exploring the city’s Casco Viejo neighborhood. The evening felt like going out with friends. Would highly recommend to anyone stopping in Zaragoza and looking to learn more about the city and its culture. Thank you, Marta!Written 17 December 2024
- michellecF9512UO0 contributionsGreat tour of Zaragoza MonumentsVery informative tour. Our guide was really friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of Zaragoza and the monuments that we saw. Our tour ended up being 3 hours but did not feel like it. Very interesting, well worth doing.Written 5 December 2024
- Pioneer906920 contributionsExperience this city with a local! Our guide, Martin, is a native of Zaragoza and a historian. We learned so much from him and enjoyed his knowledge & enthusiasm. Definitely the way to experience this beautiful city from the perspective of a local!Written 8 October 2024
- Trina H0 contributionsDelicious bites in ZaragozaI had an excellent food tour through Zaragoza with my guide Marta from Rustica 41. First off it ended up being a private tour and kudos to Rustica 41 for still running it when many other providers would just cancel. I was able to see a more personal side of the city, its food and some history too! Marta was patient with all of my question and made the experience really fun. The spots they picked had some really delicious tapas (some I revisited the next day!) and even some unexpected flavor combos (I won’t give it away 😂). Thanks so much!!Written 7 September 2024
- lisajC6525QU0 contributionsBest cooking class! A Must.Jorge was amazing! I learned so much about cooking and the food of Spain. I came home and my first two days Home made the Spanish Omelette and Paella for my family. The recipes we’re so easy to replicate with George’s instruction. My family loved both meals! George also included incredible wine with each course. The class didn’t just include cooking. I was also informed about history, architecture and culture. It was amazing. Jorge and Marta are the best! I really liked that they did not cancel tour because I was the only English speaker. I had a one on one tour. Wow. Just wow. Don’t pass up any Rutica 41 tours.Written 3 September 2024

- JLbrickey780 contributionsVery authentic and wonderful experience - like a local!Jorge was awesome! We signed up in the (up to 10) group tour, but that day was so hot, it was just the two of us. Jorge gave us an interesting history lesson of the city with some fun facts. And then we started the foodie excursion and went to four very authentic places we wouldn't have otherwise been inclined to try. Very local -- NOT touristy places. He answered all our questions and gave a great history of the food in relation to the city. He also gave us some great recommendations for places to try at our next stop (San Sebastian). Very personalized experience. Would highly recommend!Written 2 July 2024
- markoQ16DL0 contributionsGreat time cooking in ZaragozaOur tour started with a warm greeting from native Zarragozan Jorge and then a trip to the central market where we bought ingredients to make 4 delicious dishes- tracitional tomato salad, a layer veggie tapa, tortilla española, and torrijas (dessert). We strolled through the old city to the beautiful Zarola cooking school. Where we cooked, chatted and ate. Jorge is very knowledgeable about the region and customs. I’m excited to replicate these recipes at home. This experience was a great start to our stay in Zaragoza. I highly recommend it!Written 27 June 2024
- EAlfiero0 contributionsWonderful experience to hidden gemsAn excellent experience. Got some history of Zaragoza. A tour of the market. Very interesting stops for tapas with cultural information and history and fabulous tapas and wine. Overall a wonderful introduction for us to Zaragoza as it was our first evening there and we loved the overall feel of the places we went which we know we would have never discovered on our own, nor tasted the things we tried without our expert guide. Highly recommended.Written 11 June 2024
- andrewtravel270 contributionsExcellent tour of BelchiteThis was a wonderful tour of an olive oil facility and of the ruins of the town of Belchite, dating to the Spanish Civil War in 1938. The tour of the olive oil facility was interesting but the main draw for me was Belchite and the Civil War history. Jorge picked us up at the hotel along with another couple, and drove us to the tour locations. He was very interesting, knowledgeable, and personable. We very much enjoyed the day!Written 26 May 2024
- WillT6220 contributionsAwesome experienceHad a great time with Jorge, the friendly, knowledgeable guide. I was the only person at this class, and Jorge went out of his way to make the experience very memorable, taking me to the market, buying ingredients, and chatting with me about his life in Zaragoza and the culture of Spain. We made several dishes: a tapa with potato, jamon, and boreja (spelling? Almost a sort of spiny spinach); a paella with lamb and longanisa sausage; a tortilla Espanola with potato and onion; a tomato salad; and a torrija, or a French toast with cinnamon, orange and lemon zest, and milk. All the dishes were delicious, well-made, and I really learned a lot. I really enjoyed the experience. Both Zaragoza and Jorge are highly underrated--definitely sign up for a tour with him. It's a highlight of my trip so far.Written 29 April 2024
- Liliana G0 contributionsPerfect introduction to the fantastic food of ZaragozaDelicious tastes at all stops in our tour, with great information on the local wine and dishes. We highly recommend booking a tour with Jorge. He is knowledgeable and warm, with a great sense of humor. Some unforgettable tastes that we will be remembering for a long time. Thank you, Jorge!Written 20 April 2024
- crystaldZ2023CF0 contributionsNo whining about this wine excursionThis was an incredible cultural experience! I am a non-drinker who partook on this special occasion with no regrets. We walked to four locations over the course of the tour, four places that I would never have otherwise discovered. I am unfamiliar with tapas which is why it was so helpful having a cultural guide. They were able to easily make adjustments to both the food and beverages based on the participants. The location that we met up at was central and easy to find. I would DEF do this again.Written 30 March 2024
- edenpearl14180 contributionsSuch a fun and interesting experience! This was such a beautiful experience! It was just me on the day, but the guide Jorge made the day so comfortable and interesting. We shopped in the markets and then spent a few hours cooking up local dishes typical of Aragon. I can’t even pick a favourite, everything was delicious and easy to learn! Would definitely recommend for anyone - from the area or not, alone or in a group.Written 26 January 2024

Our guide Jorge was wonderful! He was knowledgeable on food, wine and history of the area. Jorge picked us up at our hotel on time, after a short drive we arrived at a small organic winery to do tastings, we proceeded to Alquezar and visited the town and the castle, and ate a wonderful lunch with local food with Jorge’s guidance. The drive had many great views and the entire day was magical. I highly recommend this tour and any tours by Jorge and Rutica 41. Thank you!

Jorge and Pablo led us into the unknown. We learned how to make wine while looking at the vineyards and then were taught wine tasting. Alquezar is an old town where time seems to have stopped, and we had a wonderful time there. It was the best trip we have ever had.
