The inception of this "trail" dates back to the 20th century What they ingeniously crafted is a pathway that's a mere 1 meter wide and extends for 3 kilometers, soaring an incredible 100 meters above the ground! A few years later, during the inauguration of the Dam by the esteemed King Alfonso XIII, he traversed this extraordinary route and bestowed upon it the name it carries proudly to this day: "El Caminito del Rey."
