Julio was so incredibly nice. He is a Brazilian living in Spain which makes for interesting conversation if you ask him about himself. I personally like to hike but this trip was perfect if you have limited time in Granada. It isn’t really a hike but the view is spectacular. Could not stop admiring the snowcapped mountains, the view of the city, and the beautiful sunset.

Truly the highlight of our study abroad time in Spain. Julio and Marcelo were amazing guides and were so incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They also took great pictures! The hike itself was beautiful and very manageable and they made sure to make the experience feel very safe. An absolute must do! Thank you so much for a great experience!

Excellent trip up into the mountains to get away from city life. Our guide, Julio, was very informative and always keeping his eye out for wildlife. We saw wild horses, mountain goats and a very curious fox. He stopped to let us take pictures and was always willing to take pictures of the group. The mountain top provides terrific views. A chance to see the sunset from 8350 feet. Simply gorgeous!

This was brilliant - what a fab way to spend a half day. Julio was a rare guide - intelligent, funny and interesting! Kind of what you might expect from someone who was a former clinical psychologist! The hike shouldn’t faze anyone - it’s a steady climb with time to stop and enjoy the amazing vista. The guide was careful to ensure everyone was comfortable and I was delighted that a cultural mix blended so well we all ended up chatting all the way through the 3 hours of easy but hugely rewarding exercise. “What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare.” (William Henry Davies) Sums up the experience better than I can!

The hike was beautiful, great views and fun trails to walk. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable about the environments and took amazing pictures, would definitely recommend!

Julio was an excellent guide. Easy hike for an experienced hiker. Some tight areas where we had to crawl, hold onto handles, or otherwise navigate the narrow terrain. Would have been fine for beginner hiker with a bit of an adventurous spirit. Would love to go again!

Julio is an excellent guide and the scenery on this walk is amazing – mountains, canyons, bridges and more. It’s also an easy and great day out in the mountains. Highly recommended!

It was an amazing afternoon tour, Julio was kind and well prepared with all the information regarding the Sierra Nevada location. We managed to see some animals on the way to the top. And the views were breathtaking. Definitely I recommend to take this tour .

This was a great break from all the city walking and historical sights of the region. The hike is, as advertised, very do-able for anyone in reasonable shape. We were 2 couples in our 60s and 70s and had no problems. Julio and Marcello were great guides and ensured everyone felt safe in our group of 12. They took some amazing photos of us as an added bonus. We felt happily energized by the hike.

We booked this last minute and Julio kindly accepted the booking even though there were only 2 of us on the trip. Definitely a must do. Scenery was stunning- Julio was very informative full of interesting local knowledge. He was kind and patient and let us climb at a slow and steady pace. Initially the climb is a little steep however achievable for pretty much any able bodied age group. We wore shorts and trainers which worked perfectly. An added bonus was that Julio takes lots of photos of you on his camera and sends them to you for free. Quite simply perfect. Definitely recommend this trip with this guide as a perfect introduction to the Sierra Nevada.

The views from the mountain were amazing! This tour was the very first thing we did on our trip to southern Spain, and it was wonderful! Our guide, Julio, was kind, charming, and knowledgeable about the area. This is a must see if you are traveling to Granada. We met Julio steps from our hotel, and he drove us to the mountain site to see the sunset. I was concerned about the walking, but it’s not a difficult hike at all! Definitely need to wear appropriate footwear, but well worth it for the gorgeous views. Even though it was somewhat cloudy on the evening we went, we still had a beautiful sunset. We saw mountain goats, sheep, cows, and even a little fox! This experience was a perfect start to our Spain vacation!

Great walk, fantastic guide, beautiful views. This is an ideal introduction to Sierra Nevada , only 6.5 km but has something for everyone. DO IT!

Julio was a wonderful guide. He was prompt, described things in several languages, was helpful and fun thru the entire experience. Definitely a good use of your time while you’re in the Provence. Be prepared that you won’t have a bathroom or meal break. So eat before you go or be prepared to lunch right after because you will have burned a lot of energy. Too steep and narrow in areas for small children.
