      A huge disappointment
Although we were under the impression that we had confirmed tickets to the Alhambra and Nasrid Palaces IBE tours cancelled our tour a few hours beforehand. As we were already travelling to Granada by train to go on the tour we did not know the tour had been cancelled until nobody turned up at the designated meeting point. I would definitely recommend buying tickets directly from the Alhambra and not through this tour agent.

      Not please with tour company
The tour company canceled the Nasrid Palace tour (the jewel of Alhambra) the morning of the tour. Additionally, the meeting time was changed without notifying us. Imagine, you travel from overseas with the expectation that you will see what you came to Granada for with confirmed, expensive tickets in hand. We were early and could not find our guide at the appointed time. After several efforts to ask information, call the tour operator and ask other guides that already had their groups, a kind person knew the company directly and called a contact for us. The tour meeting time had changed to an hour later. We were never informed directly. This concerned me because our ticket stated a specific time window that the new meeting time would miss. An hour later, we found our guide and were informed that the Nasrid Palace portion of our tour had been canceled. This is not the tour guide’s fault- she was assigned the role. This is a corporate- level error. Try and get your tickets directly from Alhambra and the Nasrid palace. Have your tickets in hamd and if your guide does not show, you can still do a self-guided audio tour. Thr grounds are busy and crowded, try to go as early as possible. The gardens are fabulous and you can easily spend several hours enjoying the site. Plenty of food, water, restrooms available.

      Brilliant tour
It was a very interesting tour with a well informed and pleasant guide. I especially enjoyed seeing the gardens that I had read so much about. They were splendid!

      The Alhambra with Guide Sow
My experience with The guide who is name is Sow was very interesting as he had great knowledge of the Alhambra, the gardens and the Nazrid Palace. He could read the writing on the wall of the Alhambra because he could speak fluent Arabic! Altogether it was a very informative and interesting day.

      Guided tour
Our tour guide Juan Cobo was brilliant, really interesting and humorous. 3hrs flew by despite the heat. Great time to visit as the visitors numbers are so low due to COVID. Great photo opportunities due to lack of visitors. Thanks Juan.

      All that way for nothing!
Frustratingly for me, for whom this was a very special trip, on the day we arrived in Granada the Alhambra closed, including my 'bucket list' place, Los Jardines del Generalife. However, in the scheme of things, that is minor compared with the devastation to the Spanish trouist industry which seems to be staffed by exceptionally kind people who tolerated our attempts at their language with delight and charm.

      Tours should start on time.
We were very disappointed because we were promptly at our tour meeting place at 10 minutes to 9:00 a.m. as requested by the tour operator, IBE. The tour guide waited for ALL the ticket holders to arrive and did not start the tour until 9:30 a.m. We were freezing cold in the dark, and it ruined our tour. Tours should start on time, and if ticket holders are not on time, the tour should leave with the people who ARE on time. We also felt that Spanish speakers got 75% of the tour, and English speakers got only 25% of the tour.

Beautiful site to visit - great solution if you can’t get tickets online.
Our tour guide was lovely and charismatic, and the sites themselves are gorgeous and well worth a visit. The Alhambra, Generalife and Nasrid Palaces are a must for every Granada visit. I purchased this tour when tickets were sold out online for individual/independent visits so it was a means to an end - it was a little frustrating to battle crowds and other tour groups for good photo spots and to get through the sites (not our guides fault!) so if I had the option of a self guided tour with audio guide, I would do that next time. We like to walk and explore and guided tours (especially in busy sites like this) can make that difficult as you keep pace with many others and move at the speed of the group. That said, it is ideal and convenient if you like to walk at a relaxed pace and don’t dwell to long / want to explore at your leisure.

Absolutely brilliant tour - made so by our guide Beatrice.
Booked the English tour. Our guide Beatrice was brilliant, she paced the tour well, gave us lots of great information - including a lot of extra things that she knew from some of the work she has done with Alhambra. I don't think it was a particularly busy day but there were still lots of people and she navigated us skillfully through the various parts - allowing time for photos and questions. We had a short break in the middle which was appreciated and got to the main palaces in time for our entrance. I can't recommend the tour more highly. The mikes worked well ( a few occasional blips). Beatrice English pronunciation and accent were excellent which made listening to her very easy.

Good opportunity to get tickets for the Alhambra if there are no other options left.
We booked this tour, because other tickets were not available. Alhambra was not really impressive. We enjoyed the alcazar from Seville more. The tour is in Spanish and english. Tour guide spoke good English, but lacked a bit of enthousiasm.

      Disappointing
For me the Alhambra was a must see while visiting Spain but this tour truly disappointed me. 1) I booked an english tour but we ended-up in a bilingual tour (english/spanish). This wasted our time as we had to listen to both languages, and the english version always seemed to be an abbreviation. 2) Group organisation at the beginning was terrible, our tour left 1/2 hour late but did not last a 1/2 hour longer !!! 3) The headsets were terrible, cut in and out and were very crackly. 4) Although our guide was very knowledgeable, she literally just went through the motions of giving the tour, almost as if it was a recording. We flew through the complex, and did not have time to appreciate what we were looking at. We regret spending the extra money for the guided tour.

      Sudden cancellation
So, we are traveling through Spain, one of my must-see items is to visit La Alhambra in Granada. I booked tickets through Viator, receive a paid & confirmed notification. We drive down from Cartagena, book accommodations just to see La Alhambra before departing for Costa Del Sol. I wake up this morning to a text message cancelling our tour and a telephone and email to contact for options. I called, no answer. I emailed, no response. I find an email sent yesterday, just reading today as I was on the road yesterday...saying in big block letters TOUR NOT CONFIRMED and cancelling our tour. Uh, yes, it was confirmed! I have traveled quite a bit, usually have success with Viator, but this is now the second disappointment (June 2018, Lima, Peru, tour bus never arrived!)

Terrible tour! Bad headsets, chaotic start, distracting going between two languages
I will start this by saying that we would like a refund. This tour was chaotic to begin with, and started half an hour late. Head sets were crappy, cut in and out and were crackly. Having a bilingual tour is distracting and makes the tour take twice as long as the guide has to repeat everything in two languages. Halfway through the tour we were told we weren’t visiting the Palace which was the reason we booked this expensive ticket. Once we heard that we left the tour, it wasn’t good enough to stick around for as we had seen the rest the day before on our own. I enjoyed the Alhambra and gardens better when we looked on our own than in this guided tour group. Don’t waste your money. That being said, the tour guide was knowledgeable and nice, but the technology and organization is terrible.

Alhambra was beautiful. Guide could have been better
First, I would like to say that I booked the English tour and they mixed it with Spanish so everything the guide said he had to repeat in Spanish. This was obnoxious because he could have been telling us more with the time instead of wasting it by repeating. It made it very hard to focus on what he was saying when he was actually speaking our language. This was not fair to the anyone- both English and Spanish. I will say that our guide was very knowledgeable. The Alhambra is something not to miss while in Granada, but don’t use this company if they are going to mix the languages.

this is not a review, this is more of a guide. Yes Alhambra is great to visit
I don't like the fact that Alhambra administration does not explain anything about what the visit includes, really confusing even on their web site. Everybody says it's great and nobody gives any info about the visit. I went in August 2019 during the day. You can walk from Centre (Reyes Catholicos or Plaza Nova) to Alhambra or you can take bus C30 or C32. Trip takes 10 minutes by bus. You can take taxi which for 4 people costs less than bus. I did not find taxi, so I took the bus. The entrance to the park is the Pabellion the Alhambra. Check the Internet tickets you have, if they don't have 3d barcode squares on them you need to exchange them to tickets at the entrance. They will ask for the ID that you declared when you bought the tickets, ALL the ID-s for the whole family. There are several things to visit once inside complex. Keep tickets handy because you will be asked for ticket at each place. 1. Alcazaba is all the way to the back of the complex, it is a fortress and the whole visit is outside, great views of the city 2. Palace Charles 5 - I did not visit 3. Generalife - the gardens that also contain a small palace, entrance located close to Pabellion, to the right. 4. Palacio de Nazaries: this is the palace that you bought the tickets for a certain time and date. Due to the fact that is Unesco protected, only a certain number of people can visit in a day. All the pictures you see, Court of Lions etc are from this palace. Duration of visit about 1.5 to 2 hours. You can go visit all the places at any time on same day of your visit to Nazaries Palace. This palace is the only one that you have to be in line 10 minutes before the time on your ticket. When we finished the whole visit, in front of exit took a cab to Plaza Nova for 5 euros (cheaper for 4 people than bus). Anothe place to visit is the Mirador and plaza of church St Nicholas (read the story of St Nicholas) will allow you to see Alhambra from the neighboring hill. Lots of people at sunset there

The booking was cancelled by the operator just a few hours before the tour. We had only one day in Granada and could not get another ticket - hence, we did not visit the Alhambra at all! The tour operator blamed TripAdvisor for overbooking. Extremely disappointing experience. I will not book here again.

Good morning, when you book the Alhambra tour you can see in the notes that the tour is subject to the availability of the monument. The Alhambra is a very demanded monument and not always has availability for access so it can always be cancelled or modified, it is strange that it happens because we always try to do and help as much as possible but when this happens is because we have no other option due to the policies of the Alhambra. We are sorry for the inconvenience, Regards
