- G6389AK0 contributionsGood tour, not enough time at the palace of justiceSeemed rushed. Guide was ok but he yelled the entire tour and mostly recited what was on the plaques at the sites. I wish he would've told us why we were making the 1st stop. Instead, we sat in a cold tour bus while he talked about Hitlers ascent to power. When we left the bus, he said we were at the parade grounds. Knowing that 1st would've made the history lesson more applicable. We had less than an hour at the palace of justice which was not enough time to see the room and the wonderful exhibits. We had to skip a lot due to time pressure.Written 16 December 2024

- CACruzer0 contributionsFormer Nazi Rally Ground and SitesLearned many new facts about Hitler, the Nazis and their work/impact in Nuremberg as well as all of Germany. Visited historic sites that were associated with Hitler's reign and the importance of those sites. Quite impactful to then visit the courtroom where the world heard about the activities of the Nazis, how the trials were handled and fates were determined.Written 3 December 2024
- U4881PBjohnr0 contributionsGreat taste of the Nazi Party's presence in Nuremburg before and during WWIIThe tour was a lot of fun with a small group, and the tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. He was very accommodating and interactive. The tour was 4 hours long, but I wish there'd been more time at the Courtroom 600 as there was quite a bit of interesting material to read. I didn't get to finish all the exhibits due to the time constraint, but overall, I was well pleased with the tour. All the locations on the tour are outside of Nuremburg's city center and can be reached by public transport, however it was extremely convenient to be picked up at my hotel and driven there in a vehicle. I think this saved time and likely confusion on my part trying to navigate an unfamiliar transportation system. The information presented on the tour also made me curious about the events of the Nuremburg Trials, so I read even more about the events on-line. The information was heavy, but I expected in advance that it would be. I would highly recommend this tour when visiting Nuremburg.Written 2 November 2024
- cindyw98000 contributionsInteresting Historical tourWe had a great time with Rob, and he is full of history and stories about the city’s role in WW2. We learned a lot and saw a lot. After doing the tour we realized that Nuremberg is an amazingly charming city and we wished we had also allowed some time to explore the Old Town area… wished we had found a tour that had a bit more balance with war history and seeing the actual town and hearing more about it.Written 18 October 2024

Very well organized and emotionally touching without indulging in truculent details. The ficus is
on the trial that marked history. I recommend watching the video in room 600, the one where the famous trial took place, for a limited number of visitors.

We loved the tour of WWII in Nuremberg. We were able to cover so much history in just a few hours. The guide was knowledgeable on the subject, and was able to answer our many questions. He was funny at times to try and lighten up a very dark time in history. Great tour that everyone should take.

This WWII “excursion” was part of a Viking Cruises extension in Nurnberg. Our group sat in the visitors’ area while our tour guide gave some details in a hushed voice thru her microphone to our earpieces. Other visitors came and went. Then there was a short video. Not very good.
Room furnishings are brown wood. A cross on the wall was a post-trial addition. The room, on the second floor of the justice building and prison, seems small considering it held judges, accused, defence and prosecutors, interpreters and transcribers. There was no explanatory material available or bookshop. There is an elevator for those who do not like stairs. Much more could be done with this location to inform the public about this era in history.
Note: Tourist Office on the main square in Nurnberg has a softcover book with b&w photos titled “The Nuremberg Trials: A Short Guide” for Euro 6.80. It comes in different languages. Very good.

This tour took us to many interesting places, including Nazi parade grounds and the Nuremberg courthouse. However it was very expensive ($267 for 2 people for a 4-hour tour; more than we paid for private daylong tours of Arnhem or Bastogne where the guide drove his own car.) Also, the guide had a very heavy Spanish accent that made him difficult to understand. And he continually called us "guys" which was annoying, especially since most of us were women.

But when you have I mix group tour (man and girls together) I can not call everybody lady’s .
But it’s ok if during your vacation you come to complain and find fault with things and not have fun and increase your knowledge
I think you have to choose another company to learn about the story and have a fun day

We took this tour on 9 December. The tour guide spent a great deal of time talking to the small group, trying to describe how the Nazi Party came to power, but his dialogue was delivered in a series of statements that left us wondering what point he was trying to make at any given time; he appeared to be almost constantly struggling to deliver comprehensible statements in a language (English) in which he lacks fluency. As a military officer and student of WWII history, I found this tour to be very disappointing and grossly overpriced, but I also sensed the same reaction from others in our group. His grasp of the English language, presentation techniques (for example, using a very small picture of poor quality on a cell phone vs taking the time to bring printed materials), and his demonstrated degree of research and preparation were all inadequate for the task, and an insult when you consider how much people paid for this tour. Visitors will get much more value from a small amount of internet research and taking themselves on a self-guided tour.

I will start by saying I would recommend this tour for people without much prior knowledge and who have money to spend.
Prior to visiting Germany I did some reading on the WW2 history of the region (‘Rise and fall of the third reich’ by William Shirer - highly recommended to any who have interest in the area amongst other books) and found that I had a greater breadth of knowledge than the guide.
While Rob was enthusiastic and extremely personable, the information he provided was catered more for people being introduced to the historical background (I understood going in that the tour of course must be catered for all knowledge levels), however some of the facts noted were incorrect or dubious at best.
Considering the extremely high price for this tour, if you have any real knowledge of this period in history I would strongly recommend skipping the tour and touring yourself via public transport, driving or even walking as entry fees are not included in the price and negligible next to the tour cost which ultimately provided only convenient transport - which at that price was outrageous.
Lastly, I would recommend the tour guide team brush up further on their historical knowledge through Shirer’s book mentioned above, ‘Hitler’ by Ian Kershaw or any other recognised and detailed references on the topic to enhance their participants experiences…also they’re incredibly interesting reads!

Our tour guide was very good, kept everyone engaged and was a wealth of knowledge. We knew we would be visiting sites that showed where Hitler held his speeches and so on, however I personally would have liked a more personal tour of the palace of justice and the trials themselves, also, we did spend money for the tour, but was disappointed that we had to pay for a ticket to enter the place of justice. I wonder if I missed that when reading what was expected of the tour….not sure why that should not be included. All in all it was good, I just would of preferred more detailed information.

This was a very informative tour. Our tour guide picked us up at our our hotel on time. He was friendly and very professional. He took his time explaining the significance of each of the sites at the Nazi Party Rally Grounds, including the World War I Monument, Zeppelin Field he Kongress Hall.
The Document Center (additional charge) added more background to the history of the rise to power of Hitler and the Nazi Party.
We then went to the Palace of Justice where the Nuremberg Trials where held. On the way, our guide gave us a bit of history to the trials and after viewing the courtroom we gained additional information on a self guided tour on the third floor of the Palace. We were then dropped off at our selected location.
We highly recommend this tour and Suzart Tours. If we are in the area in the future we will definitely use their services.

We took the tour with Rob to different historical WW2 sites and ended with a tour of the Courtroom 600. Rob provided a lot of context to the different sites that were very interesting. There is a lot of information that we learned during the tour.

I’m coming in for the day from Munich, will you pick up a customer at the Nuremburg train station?

The description mentions that the tour includes the Rally Grounds (I assume that would be Zeppelin Field). How about the Documentation Center next door? Is that included also?
Written 28 June 2019
Our tour included this. It is a big complex and takes a fair amount of time depending on how much you listen to on the audio guides. Our guide, Francisco, also added some commentary throughout the trek through the Center. Happy travels.

From what I see online, the tickets for Nuremberg Palace of Justice and the Nazi Party Rally Grounds are 6 euros each a person. What else does this include to make it worth this much money? It would be $200 total for me and my husband on the date we will be there.
