Lucia - an excellent guide, well worth it
We are so pleased that our guide was Lucia! A truly exceptional tour on a difficult subject. Lucia allowed us to take our time when needed and we were able to see everything. She provided a lot of the history on the train ride over which helped prepare us to move through the camp. It was well worth the cost and the value of the tour was immeasurable. We give Lucia 10 out of 5 stars!

      Not what we are promised
I purchased this trip on Viator. First it was booked as a bus trip, but when my tickets arrived, it was a walking tour. It was supposed to go from 11:15 to 315. It was supposed to cover the Hitler rally grounds, the palace of Justice and the court room of the Nuremberg trials. Instead, it was a tour totally walking that included mostly a tour of old Nuremberg. We did see the Hitler rally and grounds later in the afternoon, but not the courtroom of the trials has promised, it also was very long and difficult walking and it lasted until 5 o’clock almost causing us to miss our departure. While the trip was interesting, and the guy did a good job. It was not at all what we asked for. I called prior to the trip to reinforce that I would be able to do this because I walk with a cane. I was assured that this entire trip was stroller accessible, and that I would do fine.

      Jason, Fantastic knowledgeable guide
We can't speak highly enough of Jason. His knowledge of the area is incredible. He asked us what we wanted to see and showed us accordingly. He walked at a pace that accommodated my husbands damaged knee and continually asked my husband if he was OK. We wish Jason continued success.

      Great overview of Germanic history
We learned a lot from Jason. He is very knowledgeable about German and regional history. He was very flexible and let us pick where to go and in what order to do the tour. Highly recommended!!

      Private tour of Dachau
This was an excellent tour of a very difficult and disturbing memorial sight. Sam was a very good guide and was able to give us a lot of information about the events in Munich/Germany at the time the camp was opened and the historical details about the people who came to the camp, the town, and the Officers involved in camp administration. Sam was very respectful of the site and what occurred here. We learned so much from Sam and this tour. I would highly recommend him guide and this tour! Kim & Mike Burrell

Loved Nuremberg, but disappointing tour guide
Nuremberg is a fabulous city, but I would not recommend Jason as a tour guide. I have booked many tours (Group and Private) through Viator and TripAdvisor, and have never been disappointed until this tour. Jason was rather unorganized and somewhat arrogant, which was doubly annoying as he had the most unimpressive CV of any tour guide I have ever worked with. He did not appear to have a plan for the tour, and was not particularly engaging. The best tour guides really like people, and have a way of engaging their participants, to learn something about their interests and connect it to the experience. I don't think he liked people and I don't think he really wanted to be there. We saw what we needed to see, and he transmitted interesting facts, but it was not a warm and pleasant experience.

I didn’t have much time to explore , because I was on duty, but it looks beautiful, full of history and I definitely want to return.

      Great tour
We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Natasha was very well informed and provided a lot of information on Nuremberg. It was a well paced walk up the hill and finished at the market for lunch. We also did the Nazi Documentation Centre tour after this one with Natasha and thoroughly enjoyed that tour too!

      Excellent introduction to Nuremberg
Whenever traveling independently, my wife and I always try to do a walking tour when visiting a city for the first time. Our walking tour in Nuremberg did not disappoint. It was an excellent introduction to the history and cultural dynamics of not only the city but in the surrounding area. Our guide was excellent and we were never stressed in terms of keeping up with the group. It was a wonderful way to spend the day and we recommend it highly.

      Awesome and informative
I never knew the history of Nuremberg and it was really just a day stop for us but this tour turned it into one of our favorite places. Nik was very informative and kept it moving. Now we will need to return to spend more time with the sights.

Good general tour of the old town.
Jeff was a good guide. Would encourage him to use more than a water bottle has his “flag” as there were multiple walking tours in the same area. Maybe even wear a colorful shirt or hat so he would stand out in the crowd. Good general tour of the old city,

    Good day,

We were part of the touring group last Saturday, 16 Aug @11:15am. Our tour guide is a young man with long hair, he didn't provide his name but I remember he said that he lived in Munich prior to transferring to Nuremburg.

Our tour started a bit late from the Nuremburg station because 2-3 ladies had to use the bathroom. The tour started in a hurry & we were a little behind the group as we had with us our 4yr old daughter. Upon reaching Chiesa di Nostra Signora, we stopped there to watch the bell tower. I remember to have thought, "Ah that's why the guide was in a hurry, we need to reach the church before the bell tower strike 12noon".
After watching the show which lasted maybe 3-5 mins, we turned to convene with our group but we couldn't find them anymore. We called your office & spoke with a man at around 12:05pm, I asked for the tour guide's number but he declined to give it and just advised us to walk towards the castle as he said the tour group is heading that way anyways. We immediately walked towards, walked around the castle and waited there until 13:20 meanwhile trying to call your office again but no one answered anymore. So after more than 1 hr of waiting, we decided to rest and eat, then called your office again at 2pm, unfortunately again no one answered.

We've joined different tours in the past, however this is the first time we were left behind in what felt like a flash. The possibility of losing a tour member is high in a crowded place & the guide not providing his contact number nor his name left us no way to finding our group again. We wasted our day and money for this. What a shame.

Due to what happened, we would like to request for a full refund of what we had paid for the tour.

Jason was a super guide who was knowledgable, friendly and great fun. We had a great half-Day covering the old town and the history of old Nuremberg in the morning and the Nazi rally grounds in the afternoon. Jason superbly guided us through the key sights and stories, it was a hugely enjoyable day. Frankly at €22 for just over four hours it’s rather cheap - superb value for money. We tipped generously at the end - given the lack of tourists in the last year we want to support small businesses like this!

If you are looking for anything more than a brief brush of everything, this tour isn’t for you. Each site we briefly visited, the guide told us of great tours we could take if we were staying in Nuremberg longer. We walked up to a castle….but never entered. We walked up to the rally grounds, we were told how informative the museum was….but never entered the museum. We were told by our guide that “you all know the background of the Nazi movement, so I won’t go into it”. Isn’t that why you take a tour? There were people from all over the world on this tour, maybe not everyone had a solid historical background? I understand that there was a lot of physical ground to cover, but we wasted 90 minutes for a lunch stop. Time management was lacking. Many people traveled from Munich, as a day trip, and the guide had a very fluid time frame. We bought train tickets back to Munich based on the stated duration of the tour and some wiggle room and we were lucky our train was delayed.

Very enjoyable half-day tour. Covered everything I wanted to see (apart from maybe the Palace of Justice which has great historical significance) in Nuremberg and I learnt so much, not just about the history of the city but about the local food and beers. The guide (a Scottish lady who’s name I forget - sorry!) was really excellent - friendly and very well informed. Would highly recommend! Thanks!

We had a fantastic tour with Kevin, visiting the old town highlights up toward the castle, and then on to the nazi rally grounds and back again. Loads of sights along the way and plenty of photo opportunities.

Kevin‘s tour was greatly informative and thanks to his tactful humour and artful delivery I will actually remember plenty of the information! No problem either to answer anyone’s questions.

Enjoyed our tour with Natasha! She was great and provided such interesting stories and insight to much of Germany’s history. Tour was complete and allowed for enough time for all of the highlights as well as some solid recommendations from Natasha to visit after the tour.
After the tour, we promptly purchased some Elisen Lebkuchen and visited the botanical gardens of the city wall where we also enjoyed the bier garten set up below (all recommendations from Natasha).
This tour definitely helped us make the most of our short time in Nuremberg and I would highly recommend it. The only thing we decided we would change was actually wishing we had an extra day in Nuremberg!

I did this tour at the end of October and if you are in Nuremberg I highly recommend it. Kevin, the tour guide, was a very friendly and easy going guy with an extensive knowledge of the city all the way from the Holy Roman Empire, through the dark days of the Nazis, to the present day. He really was able to give a great historical background and context to each place and period covered in the tour. Your feet might hurt a little by the end, but with all the ground covered it is certainly worth it.

Our tour guide, Nic, was excellent in every way. Great comminication skills made the trip come alive. We had some mediocre weather that he plowed through for us. Our return trip from Nuremberg to Munich was plagued by train trouble involving unexpected cancellations and reroutes, none of it the fault of the tour, of course. But through it all, Nic kept his composure and sense of humor alive while looking after his group. The final reroute put us on the S Bahn out of Dachau. Some of our party did not have independent Local Transportation tickets, so Nic insisted on staying on to our ultimate S Bahn destinations in case a ticket issue came up. Incredibly professional service. Cannot recommend highly enough, especially our Tour Guide.

Fun and informative tour with Jason - four hours went by very quickly. Along with the history of Franconia and the Christmas Market, he gave us crucial tips on which sausage stands were the best and great suggestions for dinner spots. He handled discussions of the history of Nuremburg in the 1930's with skill, making our tour through sites used by the Nazis serious and enlightening. Would definitely recommend.

The Old Town Nuremburg is really a scenic and peaceful place to shop, visit, sit outside and enjoy a beer while watching people and enjoying the architecture. However, not far are the remains of the Nazi parade grounds where Hitler and his Nazi party held rallies attended by thousands of military and civilian spectators. Seeing pictures and films of these makes one think that the grounds are miles wide. They are large but smaller in person. Most of the large ornate decorations , etc are gone. The main remnant is the stepped area with a small platform, railing and podium where Hitler stood and spoke. The huge structure behind him that held the Eagle with swastika was blown up by the allies. There is an strange feeling when in this place. Perhaps the evil has not totally left. While walking the neighborhood we noticed fliers in windows that stated No Nazis in Nuremburg. Our guide stated that there is some resurgence of Nazi beliefs and many are doing all possible to keep those beliefs out.
