      Educational Tour to Dachau
Excellent tour! Our guide was very knowledgable about Dachau and general world world 2 history. Our booking included transportation each way which was helpful. We highly recommend this tour!

Take a walk through time before, during and after
Tour guide Michael gave us an experience that left a deep impression. He provided a high level historical and political context for the events beginning with WWI that enabled the ascension of Hitler to power. After fare-included train and bus rides from Marienplatz to Dachau Memorial, he immediately set a somber and respectful tone for the walking tour. He painted with words a mental image of the local joblessness, railways and structures that preceded the concentration camp. He also provided photographs of important people and symbols. He described the initial version of the camp and then the far larger camp, and the vast number of other camps across Europe and North Africa. As we walked through the barracks, he repeatedly reviewed the living conditions at the outset of the war and how they severely deteriorated by the time of liberation. He talked us through the sad realities of the crematorium. Michael told us how the changing generations of Germans have evolved from shameful silence to open education about the atrocities committed by the Hitler regime. By the ride back to Munich, I had traveled from a superficial to a much deeper understanding of the risks of unbridled authoritarianism and a population that doesn’t speak up to prevent its abuses. Highly recommended to gain a real human insight to inhumanity.

Danielle was an amazing guide, So happy we decided to book this well planned and informative walking tour. Our guide Danielle, who was American was an absolute treasure, she walked us through the landmarks and buildings while providing an informative historical narrative of the birth and death of the Third Reich. We were lucky to have a small group and were free to ask questions along the way. Highly recommend this walking tour, it was really fascinating to see the actual places described in history books and that have been portrayed on television and in movies. Try to book your tour with Danielle if she is available.

      Words can't describe...
Words can't describe the feelings and impressions experienced here. There is a wealth of information, you could spend literally all day reading up on it and still not be able to fully grasp it. Having Aileen as our tour guide was such an asset! She knows so much about Dachau, the area around it, and Germany/WWll as a whole! Definitely book with her, you won't regret it!

      Very knowledgeable German guide
This tour with Josh is very informative. Josh has a vast knowledge about the topic. Additionally he is a Bavarian which makes it more interesting because his views and opinions are very interesting - he shares his own thoughts about it. It was an eye opening experience knowing a German's point of view about this. I highly recommend Josh.

      Highly recommended. Wow.
Highly recommended! I’m not sure one can exactly put into words a tour like this. Michael was our guide and he was great! Organized, prompt, respectful, knowledgeable, friendly, educated. I can’t thank him enough for this opportunity that myself and my boys had. This will forever be remembered in so many ways.

      A profound experience
This was very profound and sombre experience. Our tour leader Michael took his responsibilities very seriously and it was clear he had undergone significant training and education in the subject matter; we certainly learned a lot we had not previously understood about this era of history. He was clearly passionate about his role as a guardian of the truth of those times. In addition to guiding our group he showed guardianship of the site, picking up litter and ensuring others did not break the rules of conduct.

      Bad info for meeting spot.
Schedule for tour. The viator app had different meeting spot location, so I did not complete the trip with this tour. Went on my own and toured solo. Entrance fee is free for Dachau camp and audio tour was €4.50. Train ticket for all day usage was €12.00 to/from Munich.

Noel was a great, funny and friendly guide and managed to keep things entertaining and organized even amidst the chaos of the Pride Parade in the city on the day. Gave us a great primer on Munich beers and tips for Oktoberfest, and was very patient with a group imbibing litres of beer! Hung around after as well and took us to a great spot for drinks. Highly recommended.

Thomas was the tour guide. His enthusiasm for beer and all things Munich shines through. This was a wonderful intro to Bavarian beer and food for that matter. Thomas brought the group together and made sure we all learned something new, had fun, and of course, drank beer. Highly recommend this tour anyone looking to learn and have a blast.

We had Thomas as our tour guide and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. The tour was a lot of fun and would definitely recommend giving it a try! The only issue I had was that it took us 15 minutes to order our beers at the Paulaner brewery which, when you only have 30 minutes, isn’t enough time to finish and enjoy the complimentary drink.

ishTour October 2022 OK but not without significant issues.

Despite 6 people being missing the guide left the meeting place about 30s early. When in fact they should have waited an extra five minutes as there were transport problems and the square was very busy. He didn't even try calling the missing six clients. Luckily they managed to catch up but that isn't really how to handle the tour.

Perhaps more worrying was that the guide appeared to be either high or drunk. It was hard to tell. Their English was good but they kept losing their place in the talk and they seem to struggle walking.

The brewery tour is more of a visit to a microbrewery. I've been to brewery/winery/distillery tours all over the world and this was the shortest and the worst.

The tour was to finish in a famous beer garden, which it did but as no tables were booked we could actually sit down and have a drink there!

All in all disappointing. You would be better off just doing this yourself and spending the money on the excellent tour of the Bayern Munich stadium.

Nothing spectacular, do visit if you have the time to spare. There’s a nominal charge to enter. Located along an alley way. Climbed up the steep metre wide stairwell up 4 flight of stairs . I opined may be a safety issue for the lay out of the place, in case of a fire or contingent event. Basically , just information about how the Munich Bavarian beers came about. Would be good to offer samples to have better understanding of the whole process.

My tour guide, Birgit, was wonderful! She incorporated so much German history, culture and personal experiences into this tour. The visuals she brought along were helpful and sparked conversation. We had a small group so I was able to ask many questions along the way. Each of our stops were unique and the beer was, of course, excellent!

Noel was phenomenal. He told us several interesting stories and even some good jokes. Unfortunately, it started raining during our tour, so Noel went out of his way to spare us from getting wet, as only a couple of people had umbrellas with them; he even let someone borrow his extra rain coat. It was so fun learning so much about beer, and drinking it, too! #ClownHouseCopyrightPending 😂

Tour is great if you just want to have a beer with some new people. Tour not so good if you’re interested in learning about brewing in Munich and Bavaria. Despite having 7+ years taking the tour Wolfgang was unable to provide much info beyond the basics.

I was lucky enough to have booked the tour by myself by chance. The super nice lady did it with me anyway (which I don't think is usual) and always answered one or two questions very nicely. Super nice tour, very competent and friendly tour guide
I'd do it again straight away, it was worth every cent and a few more
