      Perfect welcome to Nice!
My family group of four scheduled cooking with Marie on the day we arrived in Nice. It was the perfect way to acclimate to the time zone, while doing something fun and interesting (and stay awake!) on our first day. Marie was hospitable, imformative and a friendly welcome to Nice, along with her two dogs, which were a treat!

Loved apartment living for 2-3 week stays.
Mostly in Italy. =Venice 2008,2010 & 2017. Also Rome & Florence Twice in Prague 2012 & 2018. Able to walk all over the cities involved. Venice most romantic. Also had 3 week tour in China, also tours in Turkey & Peru. Found & purchased meaningful souvenirs e.g.a miniature gondolier forcola the oarlock which was crafted by Mr. Pastore who crafted them for the gondoliers on Rio Fornace named for the brick furnace factories which were used to build the homes. We stayed with a Contessa in her palazetto. In Rome we stayed at the Lancellotti Palace the home of a descendent of a descendant of a pre unification King & referred to as Prince. His son actually married the Contessa’s daughter! He was standoffish We still communicate with Contessa Anna ds Schio

      Amazing
The hospitality at Marie’s home was unmatched and her willingness to share her favorite regional dishes was amazing. We can’t wait to try to make the dishes on our own.

      Food Lovers French Cooking Class
This was a lovely experience for my food-loving, proud home cooks family. We met Marie at her lovely apartment in Nice, and proceeded to love on her adorable Pomeranian puppies who greeted us as well. We did not wear masks, but the windows and doors to outside were wide open and the space was clean and set up for us. We made five dishes total - pissaladiere (onion tart), la tarte tatin (apple tart), ratatouille mini calzones (I'm not sure what we called them), nicoise salad, and zucchini flower omelette. Each person was responsible for the majority of the prep for one dish, and Marie shared cooking tips and scientific explanations for some of the instructions we received. She also owns a tourism company and has lots of stories and experiences to share with her guests. Our food was delicious, and the private class aspect was exactly what we needed for our first tour/experience since COVID. I loved having an actual hands on class, even if Marie did some of the prep work for us. I would highly recommend this for small-medium groups who want to cook French dishes at a relaxed pace in a private home.

      Patient instructor, great learnings
We had a great time with Marie. We learnt to make a pie, and apple tart as well as the Nicoise Salad. Marie is a very patient cook and also keeps the class very interactive by teaching little less known facts about Nice and french cooking style. she also teaches quick and easy hacks as well as workarounds for cooking.

      Fabulous Experience - Loved it
Marie is a true inspiration - we were made to feel at home the moment we arrived. The entire experience was one that exuded passion and enthusiasm for local ingredients, techniques, recipes and all within an open and relaxed “as you want” atmosphere. We made Onion Tart to die for, Tart Tartine with gorgeous deep yellow Golden Delicious apples and homemade salted caramel sauce amongst other things. Marie is a very attentive lady with an eye for detail who is keen to assist anybody from complete beginner to expert alike. We went on this experience mainly for my daughter who’s a keen cook, never expecting to enjoy it as much as we did. Cooking with Marie is a great way to spend an afternoon in Nice. As a family we all agree this is the best activity we’ve enjoyed together for a while. If we could rate time with Marie as an eleven out of ten we would gladly do so - Fantastic!

Wonderful and delicious cooking class in Nice!
We spent a wonderful afternoon with Marie learning how to cook several classic provencal dishes and then was able to enjoy our meal with a bottle of rose wine. I was joined by my 2 adult daughters and their boyfriends. I am an experienced cook and both my daughters are very good in the kitchen as well - one is a serious baker. Their boyfriends were willing neophytes. Marie did a wonderful job of accommodating all of our different skill levels, and everyone - including myself - learned a great deal. I picked up several key pointers that felt like traditional provencal cooking techniques that you don't see in standard recipes. I loved that Marie selected dishes for us to make that were not only classic Nice cuisine but also seasonal. We learned how to cook squash blossoms that I had just seen in the farmer's market that morning. And we made THE best tart tatin that I have ever eaten. Loved the whole experience! I highly recommend the cooking class!

      A must-do while visiting Nice
This was such a magical, once in a lifetime experience. Our guide Marie was so informative and she spoke perfect English. Our favorite part of the tour was when we went to the family vineyard. It was so incredible that we were able to experience that winery as without Marie we would’ve been lost as the winemakers don’t speak English. All of the wines we tasted were delicious and we even bought and shipped some bottles back with. This tour completely exceeded all expectations and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

      Great service, food, and wine.
Excellent host, she was great. Went to local markets to get the wine and food with her. Great chef. Very personable, very nice and clean home. There is nothing like experiencing from a local’s standpoint.

This tour was an excellent introduction to the local wines! The small winery vs. big winery contrast was educational and good to see. Right from the start, after pick-up, our wonderful guide started sharing details about the local wines, the area, the history, and the people. She was so knowledgeable and friendly! The first stop, the small winery (Domain de le Source) was so charming, from the warm and informal setting, to the "guard" dogs. They shared 4 excellent wines with the guide supplied food pairings, that were also excellent. Our second stop, Chateau de Cremat, with its breathtaking grounds, provided some grandeur. They provided 6 samples of their excellent wines, along with their own charming guide. This is a tour I would book again, even if it was to the same two wineries!

Marie was the absolute best guide we have had on any tour. She was fun, accommodating and connected with the people on the tour. She provided a complete history of Nice as we drove through town towards the Bellet Region. Up the winding roads she answered all questions and gave insight to the surroundings and what makes Nice wines so unique.

The food provided was over the top delicious and we were able to try Nicoise food from family operated locations.

We went to two different wineries, the first was grand and provided wines to many other regions. The second was like walking into someone’s house and coming a part of their family. Both unique and interesting. The choices accurately reflected the two styles of wineries in Nice.

I would give this tour more than 5 stars if possible. It was unique, organic and all around entertaining. Do. NOT look this tour over when booking a winery tour in Nice. Stop and book it! You will not be disappointed

Absolutely beautiful wine tour! I loved getting to go to an intimate family owned vineyard where we learn about the whole local industry. We also got a taste of local food delicacies along with our wine. The second vineyard was on a large commercial chateau that was stunning. Here we got to spend time walking around and doing as we please. I loved the juxtaposition of the two locations. A truly beautiful day!

Lovely tour great to see a small family run winery and a larger one.
However felt the portions of wine given were very small it was hard to taste (2nd place) They didn't feel welcoming and had another group join our tour mid way around who did not stop talking so we couldn't hear the guide.

Food - is just a few small bites of bread not very much at all. i'd advise eating before hand.

We were lucky and had a great group of people on the tour with us.

Overall this is one of the pricer tours in south of france that we looked at, and I don't think is worth the Money. I've done wine tasting in other locations i feel were better.

Amazing experience!! The Domaine de la Source vineyard was great, amazing family owned business. The Château Cremat vineyard had interesting history, especially how it is connected to Coco Chanel. Out tour guide was great, he told us a lot about the wine making process, a lot of local history and more amazing stuff. Would definetly recommend the experience!

Wine quality below average in both wineries and no chocolate or candid fruits advertised were actually offered, but various bread varieties instead. Chateau de Cremat is well run with an interesting art gallery and link to Chanel makes an interesting story, but wine quality lets it down. Not a good value for money. Would have been OK with just a trip to Chateau de Cremat only at half the price charged. Not a wine tasting tour, but an excursion around outskirts of Nice.

Good day ??? sorry you didn't mention your name so I don't know who you are. First of all thank you for taking the time to write a comment. Concerning the tastings, no sorry no, you have not tested "different breads", but local specialties as indicated in the description, sweet chard tart, onion tart, ratatouille and many others, that said indeed may be no candied fruit but for sure lemon jam and olive jam... the products mentioned in the comments are given as an indication and honestly after 7 years of this tour it is the 1st time that someone has complained about the food ! Now concerning the wine estates and the wines, I would just like to draw your attention to the fact that the tasted vines were all Bellet, AOP/AOC and organic wines. That Chateau Crémat is extremely well known and renowned and that the Domaine de la Source won the gold medal at the Paris Salon in 2022 for its red wine. Are you sure you took the tour with us? And visited these wine estates ?? I have doubts. I wish you a good continuation, Cordially !

From beginning to the end, everything about this tour was perfect. The host was friendly interesting and went out of her way to ensure we were all relaxed and having a wonderful time. You visit two vineyards and sample some wonderful wines and local dishes. The smaller family run vineyard was a delight. We would recommend this tour to all wine lovers who visit Nice.

A great half day trip! A fun experience visiting a small family run winery and one larger winery. All the wines were delicious, and it was very cool to hear about all the history of the vineyards and the wine making process.

Bonus: Koko is the best guide and driver!

I would give it zero stars if possible. Was to be one of the highlights of our Nice trip but it was cancelled the night before as it wasn’t worth their while. Can’t say how disappointed we are. Really poor service. Because of the short notice we were unable to book an alternative tour. If you really want to experience this type or trip, use another provider!

Hello, sorry for the late answer, and very sorry if you are disappointed, I really can understand but.. as it is written in the tour description we really need to be a minimum of 4 ti run the tour, You can imagine we can not send an "80%" empty car on tour.. And yes.. late news because we wait until the last minute hopping that there will be some additional booking... Best regards Marie

Lovely day spent at the organic winery. Great host and wonderful people all around. A big plus, the beautiful little Pomeranian accompanying the host is the cutest little thing on the planet! That alone made the trip worth while. We had a wonderful afternoon on this tour.
