About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Mr_F9990 contributionsExceptional customer service, and lovely boats.Trans Cote D’Azur is a professionally run company that I have used many times before (Mainly for the round trip on Monaco Gp day). The company has several boats that are all immaculate, and look and feel as new as the day they were built. Sadly, on this occasion our return trip to St. Tropez from Nice had to be cancelled due to severe thunderstorms (Thursday 15th August). Nobody’s fault, and naturally on the grounds of customer safety - a lesser company in the Mediterranean might have gone ahead regardless. I was contacted by their office by phone the day before and advised of the cancellation and was asked if I could call in the next day to receive a full refund, which they promptly issued. I then booked a smaller cruise around the peninsula for my family of four for the Friday as an alternative, as we had a flight to catch home which wouldn’t allow us to partake in our intended trip to St. Tropez. This short trip was thoroughly enjoyed by us all, and the staff on board the boat were friendly and professional. Finally, I must say a special mention to Deborah who works in the reception office. This young lady was wonderful to deal with and gave exceptional service throughout our dealings with her. An absolute credit to the company!Written 17 August 2024
- 402katrineg0 contributionsDisappointing Experience and Not Worth the Money.Disappointing Experience and Not Worth the Money. I had high expectations for this boat trip, but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The boat was nice and clean, but the trip itself was nothing special – just a short trip up and down the coast. Additionally, the service was poor. Snorkeling was not possible at the spot they anchored; activities were only allowed around the boat since it was dangerous to move far from it due to large boats passing by. There was also a strong current in the water where they anchored. I would not recommend this trip, especially not at the price. Save your money and look for other options.Written 17 July 2024
- miashepherd10 contributionsWonderful day - trip highlightWe had a fabulous time on this catamaran day in Cannes. The service was great, the lunch was more than expected. The bar was well stocked and there was plenty room for everyone. I felt the half way was just the right length of time, and we had a ball. Definitely book this - it was a highlight of our trip!Written 13 September 2023
- fakeplasticsapling0 contributionsGreat island trip. Prepare with a map for best results. The boat is clean and comfortable and the ferry staff are helpful and courteous. The ferry trip is a short crossing but presents a fabulous view of the bay. The island has some beautiful natural features and pine and Eucalyptus aromas. Lots of options for swimming and snorkelling although the beaches are busy. My only complaint is the island signposting is not very helpful so its best to plan ahead and make sure you have a paper map or access to a map on your phone to make the best use of your time. 4G mobile signal is good on the island. The "underwater museum" is 84m from the shore, so for confident swimmers only. The restaurants are "exclusive" and overpriced IMHO so either take a packed lunch or be prepared to pay top euro.Written 15 August 2023
- simonandreass0 contributionsFantastic nature og trip to island Ste MargueriteIt was a fantastic trip to the island Ste Marguerite. Lovely nature and a interesting museum in Fort royale. That is a must!Written 12 August 2023
- Judith v0 contributionsNothing specialBoat is nice and neat. The trip is nothing special, a bit up and down the coast. Part of the equipment was not used due to weather circumstances. Basically, not worth the money. Direct bookings appeared to be a lot cheaper then thru Tripadvisor.Written 9 August 2023
- Rosebenson0 contributionsSmoothPerfect smooth pick up and drop off. Clean and large and wonderful polite kind and inviting staff. Very smooth process. I enjoyed it very much!Written 8 July 2023
- Adraccir0 contributionsBeautiful view from the KatamaranThe Katamaran Tour was very nice. Food was deliciouse. Staff was friendly. We had beautiful weather. So the condition was perfect for a swim in the sea. Thank you for this nice day!Written 7 July 2023
- Ainep0 contributionsGreat day out (mixed aged group)Fantastic day out. Lovely trip out of Cannes Harbour. Staff very friendly. Lots of activities, but not a huge amount of equipment for the numbers. Nevertheless, everyone got to do something: kayak, SU paddleboard or snorkeling. Snacks & drinks on board (cash only) - reasonable prices. All in all - a successWritten 30 June 2023
- thelma_bk0 contributionsWorth a visitSuper easy and organized! I reserved my tickets online the night before, showed my TripAdvisor confirmation to the Ile Saint Marguerite desk, and was given the tickets to board. Return service was equally excellent. Definitely recommend this accessible and natural gem just a short ride away from Cannes.Written 29 June 2023
- DanaC8950 contributionsGreat experienceFerry was a one minute walk from the pier and on time. St. Marguerite was beautiful and not too crowded. Great experience!Written 24 June 2023
- Buddhababy130 contributionsGo to St. MargueretteVisiting the island of Saint Marguerite was perfect. We purchased some food before at the local market and then had a picnic. You could bring your swimsuit and swim in the ocean or walk around the island. There are plenty of natural spaces to sit. The boat ride was 15 minutes. I must go if you are in Cannes.Written 22 June 2023
- wendysK5869OC0 contributionsThe ferry was good, but the island was okayFinding and purchasing the ferry tickets was fairly easy. The island was quiet but there wasn’t a lot to see. We toured the prison/museum and it was interesting.Written 18 June 2023
- Tim J0 contributionsTake this excursion! This is a great day trip to take while in Cannes. The trip from harbor to island is about 20-30 minutes. You can stay on the island for as long as you want since they have ferries coming/going every hour. The Ste. Marguerite Island is a great tourist spot.Written 13 June 2023
- cameliafrostnielsen0 contributionsGreat day tripGreat short sea trip over to the island. Nice scenary. The island is gorgeous! I walked around it and had seafood for lunch at a terrace.Written 26 May 2023

Immaculately clean boat, and an excellent crew - one of whom was determined to entertain throughout. Great fun! Felt a little overcrowded (even in September) and they could really do with someone managing the queues when trying to get on board. It was a proper scrum at both ends of the trip which might be a little uncomfortable for the elderly or those with young families. Other than that, a really super cruise down the coast and well worth the money.

It's a very nice excursion. I spent half a day relaxing at a beach. The only thing that could've been better would be if the ship times were more flexible. There was only 1 ship going out, and only 1 ship coming back to Cannes. The ship was overcrowded to the point that not everyone could sit.

Booking Referral online was easy. The voucher was available by mail. Man has to get to the jetty in time. (20-30 minutes before). Everyone is very friendly. There are delicious ice-cold drinks and a sparkling toilet. The crossing is a dream. Along the coast we go to St. Tropez. There you have about 4 hours stay. A beautiful luxurious place. You will be greeted with memories of Brigitte Bardot, Romy Schneider and Luis de Funes. We found a beautiful beach and ended up eating something delicious and cheap near the port. A beautiful day for us.

My family of five boarded in Cannes on 29/6/23 to St. Tropez. The ferry had two previous stops before Cannes, and by the time we boarded, the ferry was approximately 80% filled with existing passengers. When we boarded along with many other passengers we couldn’t find many open seats on the fly deck or the aft deck below. A asked a young bosun whether they were at capacity, he just laughed. There were passengers standing, folks sitting on both companionway (staircases) blocking escape routes. When I confronted the smug fist mate whether they exceeded the vessels 350 max souls on board, he just laughed. When I asked whether they had 350 life jackets, again he laughed. He insisted I come to the wheel house to talk to the captain if I had a concern. This is a blatant maritime violation as the captain is in command sailing out of a busy port, I refused. Insisting I speak with the captain he asked that I stay where I was and he would bring the captain aft to talk to me. As a captain myself mostly off shore Fort Lauderdale, I stated this would never happen in my country, the first mate responded stay in your country next time or find a yacht next time. It was apparent this smug arrogant first mate had no idea what I was referring to, the safety issues. The first mate job is to ensure the safety of the passengers and crew, he was more a clown in a circus show. In addition I make it a rule to check sea conditions before going to out, a habit. The weather conditions had forecasted rain later. Luckily it did not, had it rained, the boat would have been off keel with some many passengers on the fly deck. I’ve sailed the Med a few years ago and can tell you the conditions can change from calm to 15 knots of wind and heavy rain with 2-3 meter swells. Hire a cab or rent a car, stay clear of this unsafe overcrowded ferry which operates with zero safety margins.

We Are truly in shock by the workers at the counter that sells tickets. The older blond woman with curly hair is an imposter or is the whole company.
We were paying for tickets and it said not approved on the terminal, but the monney was taken from our bank account. The lady said that we should come back the next day before going on board to st.tropez and that she would fix it. When we came to tell her she told us that the reciept is fake and if is not in French she would not help us,startet shouting and yelling at us. Dont go here, they take your monney and say that you have not paid!!!!

My friend and I took the ferry for 60 Euro round trip. For this price, they should only sell as many tickets as they have seats. The return was chaotic because people were rushing to get inside the boat just to make sure they got a seat. Yes it’s true it is the fastest way to get to St. Tropez but what you pay, it could have been and should have been better.

Absolutely great service and lovely journey from Cannes - St Tropez. Boat arrived on time, was very spacious, clean and staff were all lovely.
Finding the Cannes ticket office wasn’t very clear on the ticket it’s right in the corner of the excursion car park. There was also some confusion as to which line was for which trip, just make sure you double check and your ticket is checked!
Apart from this a brilliant service, worth the money and allowed us to enjoy St Tropez for the day with ease!

Of all questions here I find only one and the same answer in two places.
In all commercial of this trip it mention a price and that you can get back, but actually not that the return trip is included, and not at all when you can get back.
Can you please update your information where you sell this at Tripadvisor?
And please stop send commercial mails about this trip in particular every other day long after we left France and got back home again. It is most annoying.

Is the return to Cannes Port arriving at 5:45pm? So people on the cruise ship can’t do this excursion because the boat departs at 6pm.
