About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- SandosAmegos0 contributionsSafe and alot of fun. A must do in NormandyWhat a wonderful, fun thing to do and worth every cent. Dont be worried about the safety side of things as its completely safe. My wife had never been on a motorbike let alone ever put on a helmet and she had a ball. Thierry was alot of fun and a nice person who took us alone side streets that you would never know. Lots of winding country lanes and roads so you never get up any real speed so you feel completly safe. We went on a chilly November Day and never felt cold at all. Overall i would fully recommend this adventure to everyone. Alex and Cath from AustraliaWritten 23 November 2024
- susannecV1595OK0 contributionsSidecar adventure with Normandy Time Riders. Great fun!!!My huband and I and another couple booked the Normandy Time Riders sidecar adventure from Honfleur to Deauville. We were quite the attraction in Honfleur, as we climbed aboard with guides Thierry and Emanuel. Our fearless guides were great drivers and entertaining companions. They made sure we saw the highlights along the route. The route was through back roads and beautiful countryside. We stopped at a farm where they grew apples and sold their ciders, applejack of varying alchol content, jams, jellies, etc. Lovely setting and great cider. We had a stop at Treauville, Deauville's neighbor, and walked the beautiful beach. The architecture in both towns were a treat! I would definitely recommend this experience. By the way, we are all seniors, and we had no difficulties with getting on and off the back of the motorbike and getting in and out the sidecar.Written 4 October 2024
- U6221XGcarlosq0 contributionsA MUST TRY SIDE CAR TOURPhenomenal! Where do I begin. From the beginning our experience with MANUEL was amazing. After initial booking, our plans were still not complete so we didn’t exactly know where we were staying. Manuel contacted us and was very flexible on where to pick up. When we met up with him he immediately started spitting facts about not just d day, but the city, country, and events. Not only was he really knowledgeable on many topics, especially about the landings, he was a great conversationalist and it didnt seem like he was just reading off a book. The riding experience was so much fun and seeing the country side was an experience we didn’t think we’d get, but appreciate dearly. During the tour itself, Manuel continued to share his knowledge about the surrounding area, the landings, and all the different things that it affected in the following years. After the tour, he was even flexible in where to drop us off. 100% satisfied with our tour and would recommend to anyone!Written 10 August 2024

Wonderful Trip! My wife and I will always remember this one-of-a-kind guided tour. Thierry, our guide, was safe, friendly, knowledgeable and fun. He picked us up at our Hotel Churchill and we visited Arromanches, Omaha beach, and the American War Cemetery. My wife rode in the sidecar, I rode on a separated seat behind Thierry. It was just the three of us.
Thierry took us “off the beaten path” in a few places with perfect views of the French countryside and our trip in total was around 4.5 hours so we got what we paid for and more.
We were a little apprehensive about the motorcycle but it proved to be both fun and safe. I would highly recommend this trip with Thierry.

We had an incredible half-day motorcycle tour of Normandy's D-Day sites with our two children, aged 10 and 12.
Our guides, Manuel and Thierry, were not only knowledgeable about the historical significance of each location but also extremely attentive to our safety and comfort. They shared fascinating stories and facts that enriched our understanding and appreciation of the sites we visited.
The combination of adventure, history, and the stunning landscapes of Normandy made this experience unforgettable. Manuel and Thierry's expertise and care greatly enhanced our journey, making it both educational and exciting for the whole family.
We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique way to explore the pivotal moments of World War II.

What a wonderful experience!!!! Manuel was the best sidecar driver- while we zoomed down the country roads in Normandy with the wind blowing in our hair, we felt completely safe with Manuel at the wheel. So much better than a tour bus. At the sites we visited, he patiently and expertly answered all of our questions and had the knowledge to really help us recreate the D-day scenes in our minds. I cannot recommend this tour enough. I would go again tomorrow!!!

We had the most excellent day thanks to Thierry! We enjoyed the wisdom he shared about the beaches of Normandy, as well as just chatting throughout the day. What a fantastic way to explore. Even it being overcast & having a bit of rain could not put a damper on the day, as we were provided with rain gear, & the beauty all around was enough to make us forget it was a bit soggy. Thierry speaks excellent English for those wondering. We highly recommend taking a tour!!

Manuel and Jerry were a blast! We learned a lot and enjoyed our ride around the countryside. My family agreed that this is one of the best ways to explore Normandy and learn the history. Manuel and Jerry adapted to the traffic because of the DDay events and we appreciate their professionalism and humor. We had 9 year old with us and he loved being in the side car. Would totally do this tour again!

Experiencing the Normandy historic sites on motorcycles was an epic experience. Manuel and Thierry are fantastic guides, very knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. This was a special trip for us as my 87 year old father was paying tribute to his 3 brothers who fought in France in WW2. We had a thrilling afternoon and I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience these historic sites in person. Thank you Manuel and Thierry for a memorable day!

I took a two hour sidecar trip to Omaha Beach and the US cemetery nearby. So many young lives lost. Visiting the memorial is a somber experience. I was lucky to have a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the landing of the US and other troops of so many nationalities along the coast. I learned a lot. I also had a great trip through the beautiful Normandy countryside (so many pretty villages and farmhouses) in my motorcycle sidecar. I had never travelled this way before but now definitely recommend it! I felt safe but exhilarated! Don’t miss out on a chance to try this way of traveling!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent with Thierry along the Normandy coast last week. It was a wonderful way to experience the sights and an insightful way to hear the stories of the occupation and Allied Forces beach landings. We spent 10 days on holiday and this was the highlight of our trip! Highly recommend this tour, and Thierry, to anyone who is considering a beach tour while in Normandy. He made it delightful in every way!!!! A++. Aaron & Jill

We weren’t sure what to expect with a sidecar tour, but it exceeded all of our hopes. We were picked up right from our hotel and our adventure began. Our guide was very knowledgeable about DDay, in addition to so much more of our history during the war. He had so many stories to share.
The guide, Manuel, went so far above and beyond. My mother is 84 and he was always helping her in and out of the sidecar, always made sure she was comfortable and warm, even pushed her in wheelchair around the American cemetery so I could take photographs. Like I said, way above and beyond.
This tour was so much fun, what an adventure. I recommend 10/10!!

A very original way to discover the D-Day story and the lovely Normandy landscape. Thanks Manu for this wonderful experience! We really enjoyed your many anecdotes on the tour and your advices about what we should see in the region (without you we would have missed the Bayeux Tapestry and a few nice restaurants :).
