About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- OnAir288098537930 contributionsGreat tour with a knowledgeable and personable guide. We enjoyed a 1/2 day mini-van tour with Julie who provided great detail while navigating the crazy Paris traffic. We lucked out in that the tour was only 5 people, four of which were our family so it felt private. Julie showed us the highlights and provided some great recommendations for later. I would use this company again.Written 20 July 2022
- gatestemple0 contributionsDisappointing tourWe booked a half day city tour and half day Versailles tour. It did not meet our expectations. The tour guide was also the driver of the minivan. Although she was very friendly and knowledgeable, you can imagine how difficult it is to drive in crazy Paris traffic and try to discuss the sites at the same time. Also there was a rattle in the back of the van. She did try to correct it by moving things around behind the back but could not get it to stop. Plus it was just hard to hear her without amplification. The tour to Versailles is on your own. She did explain a little about the palace but then bought us audio guides. She was not available for questions. When I told our hotel about the problems we had, they were surprised that there was not a guide and a driver. We paid $900 for four people for this tour. Plus three more people joined us later on. I would think for that money you could have a guide and a driver.Written 14 June 2022
- Brismonkey0 contributionsSo easy and better than flyingHad to find alternative ways of getting to Paris from London due to a BA pilot strike and settled on the Eurostar. Glad we did because after 14 hours flying it was a welcome break. Bought business class travel and it was very much like an airline in terms of food drink but scenery was much better and much more room to move / no seatbelts was a dream.Written 9 September 2019
- CharlieHudson0 contributionsGiverny Monet Gardens TripWe took the hotel pickup/drop-off 4 hour tour to Giverny to the Monet Gardens and house. I neglected to get the driver's name, but it was the afternoon tour of Tues, June 11th. The gentleman was superb and even though the minibus was full, it was a pleasant trip. I would not wish to drive this myself. The actual time in the garden is only 1.5-2 hours depending on how long it take to make the trip which is also 1.5-2 hours. We did not have a chance to go into the house because we wanted to focus on the garden. However, I highly recommend this. Suggest take a bottle of water and plan to have the lovely ice cream after.Written 13 June 2019
- Anthony P0 contributionsEasy, comfortable and very informative trip to VersaillesSix of us booked the guided tour of Versailles with Euroscope via our hotel as recommended by them. It did seem quite expensive but we are at an age when ease and comfort beats economy! We were picked up in a 7 seater Mercedes by Fred Khlghatian pretty much on time - traffic was bad in the middle of Paris. Fred was friendly, helpful and an absolute encyclopaedia on the history of Paris and its buildings. He was completely fluent in English and talked all the way to Versailles describing almost every building we past plus the history of Versailles. His dates were down to the day of the month in which year. We were tempted to ask at what time although he knew that for the deaths of Kings ! When we got to Versailles he dropped us right at the Gate near Entrance B and went off to park the car. He joined us, handed out radio receivers for his commentary and we went straight in with virtually no queuing other than perhaps 5 minutes going through security. Took about 2 1/2 hours as Fred described every room, its pictures, furniture and history in detail. He did check occasionally whether we wished to proceed more quickly and have less information. He was astonishing. Furthermore one of our party had recently hurt his leg and couldn't walk very far so Fred had found a wheel chair provided by Versailles and he pushed him round for the whole tour. He refused to let any of us do it. At the end we stopped for a cup of tea and had to really insist that we pay for him one also. He offered to wait as long as we wished for us to visit the gardens but we declined. They are very formal and we had walked enough for one afternoon. We had another history lesson on the way back - including the fact, with details, of why the American Treaty of Independence was signed by the UK and the USA at Versailles - which I didn't know. Fred was the best guide we could possibly have had. He answered all our questions cheerfully and with patience. His depth of knowledge was astonishing but he had a very clear way of delivering the information. It was not a long boring monologue as can sometimes be the case. He clearly loves his subject and knows how to share it. I suspect he could have talked about Versailles for days without repeating himself. Thoroughly recommended and I would suggest you ask for Fred by name. However we did learn he is only an occasional guide for Euroscope and had been called in at short notice for our trip. He runs his own Tour Company called PARISMATIC TOURS. So if you can't get him via Euroscope you might by going direct. We would definitely use Euroscope again for other trips.Written 27 September 2018

- Dana B0 contributionsGreat TourWe used Euroscope Paris for a day trip to the beaches of Normandy as well as a 3 1/2 hour tour of Paris. We had Thomas as our guide. He was incredible and so knowledgeable! Found out he grew up in Normandy and knew so much about the area and the history. We found out he was a history major too. He not only gave us the highlights, but we saw the war from France's prospective- not just our own.He was an excellent driver. Traffic in Paris is a nightmare, and he navigated it like a pro. Our Paris tour- he had stops planned but also wanted to know what we wanted to visit. He was so accommodating and recommended some great restaurants to eat it. I can't say enough about him. He made our trip so enjoyable.Written 13 July 2018
- spooner0980 contributionsGuiding Needed but not allowed in the house and studieWe had a great guide -- Michelle. She negotiated the terrifying Paris traffic with skill, and she gave us great background about Monet and the art world leading up to his ascendancy on our drive to Giverny. The gardens were amazing, of course -- even in the rain! (Though, the plants are not labelled in any way.) But the fact that guiding is not allowed in the house or studios is a serious disadvantage in Giverny. There are no descriptive placards, nothing in the house to explain what is there. Which was Monet's bedroom? What is the origin and to what use was the incredible inlaid desk put? How did Monet use his studio? We were left with this and many other questions. Just know that this trip will be a joy fo the senses, but provide little education.Written 2 June 2018
- shawnjgongwer0 contributionsGreat tour guides, wonderful locations, extremely efficientLet me start here: the Eiffel Tower having terrible food has nothing to do with Euroscape and that two star rating can leave. Now, the facts: the tour guides are great. We had several during our stay and all of them had strengths which seemed tailored to the tours they were leading. Those with a greater breadth of knowledge were assigned guides tours, whereas those who were more skilled in efficiently navigated the Paris streets with less relative knowledge were superb shuttle drivers. The variety of locations during the Paris City Tour allowed us to then tailor the reminder of our stay based on what we saw that first day. It was a wonderful and thorough introduction to an otherwise confusing city. Special shout out to Sebastian, a great tour guide who went out of his way to walk us into past security at the Eiffel Tower and make sure that we did not get lost along the way.Written 18 May 2018
- Nathan P0 contributionsAmazing Tour of the City and VersaillesMy husband and I took the Paris and Versailles Tour (without lunch) at the end of December 2017. Our tour guide, Sebastien, was with us all day; first as our driver and guide to the city as he drove us around Paris and then in the afternoon as we walked the palace of Versailles with him. Sebastien is extremely knowledgeable of the history of Paris and I learned so many interesting facts and heard lots of great stories throughout the day. He immediately made us feel comfortable and he was both very professional and friendly. In the morning we rode in a very clean and comfortable Mercedes mini-bus as Sebastien showed us the city. We stopped outside the Eiffel Tower and took some pictures, had time to tour the Notre Dame Cathedral on our own for about half an hour, and then toured the Sacre Couer Basilica on our own. Sebastien gave us a very informative tour of the history of Paris the entire way. After the Sacre Couer Basilica my husband and I walked around the Montmartre neighborhood (where the basilica is located) for about an hour, had lunch on our own in a neighborhood deli, and took awesome pictures of the city below (Montmartre is on top of a hill and has killer views of all of Paris below). Sebastien picked us up after lunch and, after we picked up some other guests from their hotels, we were off to the Palace of Versailles (about 20 minutes outside the city). Our guide gave us a history of the palace before we arrived. Once we got to Versailles we only had to wait a few minutes to enter as we had Skip the Line tickets I think, which was great because it just started to rain and the line to buy tickets and enter without the pass was insanely long. Sebastien gave us another incredible tour of the palace as we walked from room to room in our small group of 6 visitors and heard about the amazing history of Versailles and stared in complete awe at the beautiful paintings and gold-plated everything. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn't really explore the gardens that much, but they looked pretty cool and I'd recommend walking them if the weather cooperates (there is time for that at the end of the tour). Overall, the entire day was incredible and I would definitely recommend this experience. My husband and I had been wandering around Paris for a few days and loving our trip, but learning the history and being able to identify famous buildings and landmarks deepens our appreciation of Paris and makes us want to come back so much more.Written 14 January 2018
- Jessica R0 contributionsLast Minute Cancellation & Incorrect PricingIn moving to Paris, I contacted Euroscope for an airport transfer, as they came highly recommended. I was in need of a large car as we were bringing a bicycle with us. The website was easy to use, and I was able to pay and get a confirmation easily. While traveling for the holidays, I missed an email telling me that they had made a mistake on their website and needed an extra 120 euros. As I had missed this, they proceeded to cancel my car booking 48 hours before my arrival. Luckily I did see this email. After emailing with their customer service, I opted not to continue with the company because I was disappointed in the last minute cancellation and inability to honor the pricing listed on their website. I was also disappointed in the way they communicated the situation. If I was to pass on any advice I learned, if you are booking with Euroscope - be sure to read ALL emails coming from them.Written 30 December 2017
- mojad0 contributionsGood tour, awful seating and food at Eiffel.I took the Paris tour and bought, as a treat, lunch at the Eiffel Tower. 1. Pickup was for 8:15 am and was an hour late. This was our first morning and an 8 hour time difference so we got up early for nothing. Tour guide was friendly and interesting. I don't know what the usual time would be, but I suspect she made up the late pick up by giving us a 15 minute dash to walk around the outside of Notre Dame. Then we got to 58 at the Eiffel Tower. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS EXTRA. We were seated at an interior window with a view of the boutique. Food was inedible. Chestnut soup was disgusting and just out of the microwave with cold patches. My salmon was terrible and my daughter did not eat her duck either. Disgusting. Desert was a small glass bowl of fruit cut up a long time ago. The tour company has the responsibility to insure a good view seat and that the fixed price meal was edible.Written 18 December 2017
- Trip_Reviewer1940 contributionsPatrick is prompt, friendly and professionalOur first time in Paris and we were nervous. Patrick was prompt at the airport and very friendly. He set the tone for a very fine visit to Paris. The vehicles are very clean too. Merci beaucoup!Written 5 November 2017
- csarchibald0 contributionsInformativeOur tour guide was very informative and the Minivan we were in was very comfortable, but if you are interested in taking pictures of the sights, this is not the way to tour. You are given loads of information about the history and we had three stops for photos, Notre Dame, Sacre Couer, and The Musee de Homme (for pictures of the Eiffel Tower. I was on the wrong side of the car as we wizzed by many of the points of interest.Written 5 September 2017
- nobikebob0 contributionsNormandyMy wife said I had to go, well I did and from the time Thomas the driver picked us up it was all good. One of the best day trips I've ever been on period. The drive went by fast and this guy knew every detail. I would take a real camera instead of a phone if possible. The beach scene and the graves are memories you will want to save. Good work Euroscope keeping this guyWritten 4 July 2017
