It is definitely worth getting up early for!!
I had the best time running through the city with Hamidou!! I have been to Paris multiple times, but never done much sightseeing, so this was a great way to get some history and see some of the sights that - despite my many visits - I have never seen before.
I can definitely recommend the Sunrise tour - even though it's early! - because you cover so much ground in just two hrs and the city looks spectacular that time of day. Also, thanks to both Hamidou and Andrea for being so easy to contact and communicate with.
I'll go again, next time I'm in town!

Hi Louise, Thank you so much for your detailed review! Hamidou also had a great time running with you! We're very glad that you enjoyed the experience and that you're doing a running tour in you home town! It's wonderful that more runners get to know the running tour concept and are willing to join that kind of active tourism in every city they visit, especially in their home town! There's always something new and interesting to discover, and nothing better than doing that with your own legs, not polluting, keeping healthy and fit and covering a lot of monuments at once. We wish all the best for you, stay safe!

Sunrise Surprise
This was by far the best tour I had in Paris, this was my second time in Paris and this did not disappoint! I booked the tour and weeks before leaving the states to come to Paris I had reached out with questions and the team did not hesitate to assist me with my ask. They went above and beyond and I hadn’t even arrived yet.

Before the run I received messages from my guide of where to meet and he even gave his phone number in case I got lost or took the wrong train.

I was about 10 min early but it was a nice meeting point because once you walk out the metro (at least the side I was on) the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral was right there!! Then super easy to get to the meeting point.

The other runner showed up not long after I did and we just started chit chatting until our guide showed up. (That’s the great thing about runners, no matter the country you are from everyone is so friendly)

Our tour started and I do not think the smile left my face! Everything was so beautiful from the oldest clock in France, to flame the was a gift from the states. It turn was a wonderful new surprise.

I am a slow runner so I did forewarn both guide and runner partner I am slow and both parties had no issues with that. I almost think it made the tour better because i felt we were all looking out for the best interest of each other, how does that happen at the first meeting? Totally made the tour even better.

Pictures were wonderful, stories and history behind the monuments were amazing to hear. Including were Marie Antoinette head was chopped off!

I would do this tour again!! Thank you sunrise running tours for making my short stay wonderful!!!

This is such a kind review, Anna! Thank you so much for taking the time during your vacation to write that. It was a pleasure exchanging messages and accompanying you on your rediscovery of Paris the active way! I'm especially glad that your review can help other runners to first, know that they can do their favorite activity while visiting Paris and also in virtually every city they visit - for RunRun Tours is part of a global community of more than 200 running tours suppliers worldwide, RunningTours.Net. Second, that they don't need to be afraid about the pace of the running tour, probably the number one question we receive from potential guests. Third and more importantly, you're absolutely right: runners love to meet each other and share their impressions, and we make a formidable and growing community around the world! That's why we love what we do, for it gives us the chance to meet so many nice people, just like you! Take care of yourself and see you next time for another run in Paris!

Amazing Running Tour Experience
Nov 2019
My fiancé and I took a private half marathon “Paris in a Nutshell” tour a couple of weeks ago. It was a great tour, for several reasons. Firstly, RunRun tours helped me orchestrate a proposal to her during the run! When I told Andrea from RunRun my plans, she recommended several different places for me to choose between and helped me work out the logistics, and Hamidou (our running guide) took excellent photos. He even ran FIVE MILES with a bottle of champagne and plastic flutes in his backpack, which he presented to us after we got engaged. (That, and of course, the ring.) The champagne was a complete surprise to me and it was a sweet touch.

Now, in addition to the fact that they helped me propose, RunRun just generally had a great tour. The route really did cover Paris “in a nutshell” as we passed too many landmarks to name, crossed the Seine several times, and ran up the famous wide boulevards of Paris, as well as down narrow streets I never would have otherwise found. Hamidou stopped us over a dozen times at beautiful views to take photos, which were then emailed to us later. A friend of mine took a 12k group tour with RunRun a few days prior, and she had a great experience as well, saying that Hamidou took many photos then too; so it wasn’t just that he knew we were getting engaged and gave us special treatment.

This was the first time either of us had taken a running tour. I’d highly recommend them in general, as they allow you to really see a lot of city at a good speed, and if you’re looking for one in Paris, I’d highly recommend RunRun’s half marathon route!

Such a lovely review, Jackson! Thank you so much, not only for this but for allowing us to take part in such a special moment in your lives! We loved preparing this running tour with you and were probably almost as excited with the anticipation of it! We're very glad that everything went well, that Ashlie said "yes" in such a fairytale scenery and during a run! Now we want to do more engagement running tours if they look like yours! Please receive again our best wishes for happiness and come back for another running adventure in Paris - maybe for a newlywed or a honeymoon running tour? :D

Great way to start my visit!
I booked this last time I was in Paris but was unable to attend so I made it a point to give it another go! Hamidou was a fabulous running companion and tour guide... I just loved moving through the city at that pace and learning how the different areas intersect (I’ve always gotten around by Metro in the past and nice to see how it all comes together ) ... he was very kind to adjust to my slower pace, had just the right amount of stops for more in-depth info about various sights, had a bottle of water ready at the perfect times and he didn’t mind putting my jacket in his pack once we were warmed up.. geez it was like having a running concierge! I got a full folder of folders of pics after... I’m used to only having pics of my family on vacay so it was nice to have a few of myself, ha! Thanks and good luck at NY marathon!

Hi, Christine! Wow, it counts a lot having such a review written by a former Parisian! I loved that you noticed the connection between neighbourhoods, that's exactly what we had in mind when we conceived the route. Thank you so much for signing up to run with us again, it means a lot to us! Hamidou is also very plesed by your compliments, thank you on his behalf! I loved the expression "running concierge", it made us laugh :D Another guest told us once that it was like the "glamping of running", we're glad that we're doing our jobs in elevating you running experiences in Paris. Most of all, we're really happy that it worked out this time and that you enjoyed the experience! Take care and see you next time in Paris!

Paris and a Run, WOW!
Sep 2019
Our Sunrise Run with Hamidou was such a wonderful way to start our day! He was a great guide and filled us with interesting info as well as paced our run to us, not him (as he is a sub 3 hour marathoner!) We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys sites without the crowds and wants to start off the day with a little exercise to burn off the treats from the boulangerie and patisserie you must eat while in Paris. Thanks Hamidou and Runrun!

Great way to see the city
Sep 2019 • Friends
I did the tour last year and loved how I was able to see the landmarks of the city, plus get a workout in. When a group of us decided to go back to Paris this year, I knew I wanted to book another tour for group for those who hadn’t been to Paris. Our group had a great time with Hamidou! He was very informative of each landmark, a great photographer and a wonderful running guide. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who hasn’t been to Paris! Thank you for such a fun tour!

How lovely that you came back to Paris and brought your friends to run with us, Emily! And that the day after having run the Disney half-marathon, impressive! Thank you most of all for your preference and for taking the time to write another review. Keep running with the same joy! We're in Paris waiting for you for another run, maybe next year again? :D Cheers!

A great running tour!

We had a great run and tour with Hamidou! We did the Secrets of Paris tour and plan to return to some of the cool places we saw. We never would have found these places on our own! I couldn't recommend them more! Hamidou took pictures of us throughout the run so there'll actually be pictures of me from this trip!

Better tour guides needed
Sep 2019 • Friends
Better tour guides needed so wouldn’t recommend. This was the third running tour I’ve been on sadly it’s been the worst. The guide was a friendly yet his historical and general knowledge of Paris was very basic. The impression I got was he was using the job for his benefit rather than having an interest in the history or general information of Paris. He was considerate and led the right pace and took multiple pictures so that element was good. Good company and great communication!

Hi Laura, Thank you for your honest feedback. I'm very disappointed that you did not enjoy the tour. Our guides and our tours are highly evaluated for hundreds of runners, from experienced to beginners, used to do running tours or first-timers. Yours was the first not glowing review we received after three years leading running tours in Paris. I'm sorry that you felt that the history side was lacking; maybe it's something that we can (and we will) work harder for so any question or interest don't be unanswered. On the other side, I can assure you that our tiny team work together very tightly and in a very passionate way: we love running and we love Paris, and most of all, we love sharing that love with running mates from all over the world! I cannot think of one reason why you mentioned that our guide was using the job for his benefit. I can't but wonder in which way he could do that, even because of all the care we all put into every one of our tours. Maybe because I mentioned in one of our messages exchanged that you could help him in his training for the New York City Marathon? Believe me, we do not and cannot use a running tour for our personal training, for running 10 km in two hours, with all the pauses we make for telling you insightful stories, showing the best side of the monuments and taking amazing pictures of you, is far away from serious training, never mention for a marathon. I'm sorry that you had that impression and I apologize if you felt that way. Kind regards from all our team!
