We learned about chocolates, patisserie and olive oil. She engaged well with our 11 year old granddaughter and had a fun approach to tasting all the delicious samples.Written 6 February 2025
- R1399GApamelas0 contributionsEating our way through ParisMy favorite tour in Paris!!!!! Our guide , Catherine, exceeded every expectation of this tour by her light hearted way of teaching us French history as well as introducing us to amazing pastries & chocolates that I would have never known about. She also brought us into a few other stores for an olive oil /vinegar tasting , a small spice shop and a jam tasting. This was my first time to Paris so we visited all the famous museums, landmarks, cathedrals, etc., , this was a wonderful break from all of that. Anyone visiting Paris should try to fit this tour in as it truly was so much fun!!!Written 1 February 2025

- B7333WClorih0 contributionsExcellent tour with Pierre! Our guide was Pierre and he did an amazing job choosing and explaining the different foods and wine. My teens enjoyed trying things outside their comfort zone. Pierre has the perfect personality for this-patient, knowledgeable, personable, and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hours. The escargot was a highlight as well as the taste test game at the jam store. Well-done! Thanks for making this tour a trip highlight!Written 20 January 2025

Matteo was an excellent guide - knowledgeable and informative and very helpful with restaurant recommendations! We went back to several of the stops later for our own benefit and souvenirs. - kirstenallman0 contributionsThe best way to visit Montmartre! This was an amazing experience. It was a small group and our tour guide was knowledgeable, engaging and provided a great experience. The treats were great, the wine was great, and we were able to secure reservations for dinner at the venue we had the wine (which is hard to do that time of year because it is a small restaurant) while there. It was a great way to tour Montmartre and we would do it again!Written 12 January 2025
- FrequentDeltaFlyer0 contributionsFun, delicious and interesting afternoon, highly recommendedI had the pleasure of taking this tour last week with Catherine. I've been to Paris many times and thought this would be something different but I admit, my expectations were low. It turned out to be one of my favorite Parisian experiences. I was already familiar with some of the shops/brands we visited but what made it special was how interesting and cheerful Catherine was. We not only tasted excellent chocolate, caramels and pastries but learned some history and tried olive oils and vinegars, smelled exotic spices and had a fun blind-tasting of artisanal jams. Catherine made the afternoon so much more fun and educational than I had expected and it exceeded my expectations by far.Written 2 January 2025

- 647lanil0 contributionsDorine was an absolute gemMy husband booked this trip for us on our quick little day trip to Paris. While it was for a group tour, it ended up just being us two with our tour guide, Dorine, that day. We saw so many different places, had multiple stops, tasted many amazing treats and learned so much. Dorine was so friendly, knowledgeable, and personable throughout the whole tour. She not only gave us the history of the different foods / stops, but she also sprinkled in stops to tell us a bit about the city’s history which was a nice touch. She also gave us a good amount of time to shop at the different stops.. which you’re going to want to do, since everything was exquisite and can only be found in Paris. While we were only there for the day, we were happy to spend it with Dorine and are looking forward to returning to the city to experience more it has to offer.Written 12 December 2024

Despite the weather (it was raining), the tour was a wonderful experience. We met our tour guide near the Moulin Rouge and meandered the streets leading to Montmartre stopping at various eateries along the way. We tasted French onion soup, various pastry delights, macaroons, etc before stopping at a restaurant to indulge in a pate and cheese platter with a variety of wines to complement the cheeses offered.
The tour guide was informative and stopped along the way to point out historical places of significance. The tour involved quite a lot of walking but it wasn't at a pace that was difficult for most. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours; it was insightful and offered value for money. A well worthwhile investment in my opinion.

We booked this tour three weeks prior to our visit to Paris, eager to deepen our understanding of the Montmartre area despite having visited this part of Paris a couple of years ago. The tour exceeded our expectations regarding the variety of tastes, and the depth of knowledge the and warmth of our guide, Pauline.
Our group, larger than usual with 12 participants, still felt intimate due to Pauline’s exceptional ability to engage with everyone. She shared a wealth of information about the history of Montmartre and expertly introduced us to the diverse range of foods we sampled.
The tour lasted 3 hours and 15 minutes, though it felt much shorter thanks to the captivating experience. Montmartre, known for its steep hills, could have posed a challenge, but Pauline led us through scenic switchback streets, making the ascent more manageable and enjoyable. The tour is entirely on foot and involves a fair amount of walking, often through crowded streets. The journey was well worth it for the wonderful experience. It was well worth the cost.

Highly recommended! Stan gave an excellent tour.
Stan educated us on hundreds of years of rich history, adding more layers to our tour experience. Montmartre is a cozy neighborhood; its history makes it even more special.
The wine and cheese tasting allowed all to sit, relax, share stories, and get to know each other better. We then headed out to finish the walking and tasting tour.
Stan recommended restaurants and shops away from the tourist spots, with each one being spot-on. The tour ended at the Sacre Coeur, where we recommend staying to enjoy the sunset view overlooking the city of Paris.

This tour was absolutely incredible, our tour guide was so friendly, so knowledgeable and had a wonderful way of talking to us about the history of Montmartre (which itself was incredible to learn.) Because other members of the tour backed out at the last moment, we actually had a more personalized experience which added to the charm of the afternoon including an opportunity to linger at a cafe with French wine and cheese. I have not stopped raving about how much we loved this experience since we got home. I highly, highly recommend this if you are in Paris and want a really unique and really fun way to see a gorgeous and interesting part of the city.

This is a great way to get to know Montmartre and French culture better! We went with a group of 4 friends, including one person that is from France and we all had a great time with our lovely guide Julie. She did a great job conveying the history of the area and of the attention to detail and quality of French cuisine. The food portion included a lot of sweeter food, but there was also a savory quiche and charcuterie plate mixed in. Getting to the top of Montmartre is a big climb but the route the tour took was perfect with stops to discuss the history that didn’t make it feel tiresome or difficult. It was the highlight of the trip for me! Wonderful job Julie!

The tour was amazing and one of the best I and my family have taken. Our guide Kathryn was from the area and made sure we were all engaged when explaining the different foods/drinks we tasted.
The food we sampled was all delicious and not overpowering. The cheese and wine tasting was one of the highlights.
This was not possible with out our guide Kathryn, she took into account the age & culturaldifferences and engaged with everyone no question was too hard.
The architecture around the area and those shown in movies was a bonus as was the small vineyards .
It was great too see the artists in the square and the small market stalls around them.
The tour ended at the Bascillia. That was also a highlight and on our list so we were able to visit after the tour ended, the views of Paris and surrounding area was clear despite the weather.
We were even able to see the Eiffel Tower.
Highly recommended this tour, time was well spent and long lasting memories made.

Hugo was a fantastic tour guide! He clearly loved the Montmarte neighborhood, and shared a lot about its history. He was also knowledgeable about the food and culture. Hugo showed us some really hidden places we would never have come across ourselves. Most of the stops were sweets that we ate standing up, but we also sat for about 45 minutes with wine and cheese, which was lovely. Hugo made the tour extra special by singing parts of some French melodies to share the culture. We were a group of 5: two parents and three young adult children. This tour was a wonderful way for us to spend a few hours together in a beautiful neighborhood, learning interesting things and eating delicious food.

We expected gourmet food based on the description of this tour, so we did not eat dinner prior to this 4 pm tour. Unfortunately, the food only consisted of a few sweet dessert samples along the way and a very small cheese & bread plate to share, with some wine at the very end of an exhausting, hot, crowded tour. I’m is a long uphill walk with no relaxation along the way. Bring your own water and don’t expect any sit-down restaurant experience until the last stop. That being said, we enjoyed the beautiful architecture, the city views and the history that we learned along the way from our knowledgeable guide.

Fantastic, fun and informative tour. I signed up solo but another tourist was there too with our guide Stan..so the three of us.
Stan was perfect. He’s born, raised and a current resident in Montmartre. His English was great with the classic French accent. He’s travelled all over the world and loves to guide. Very nice and friendly.
He took us to classic tradition foodie/bakeries for excellent samples of french chocolate, cheese, wine and desserts.
This is a must tour (about 3 hours but time flies) for anyone wanting to know the classic history of Montmartre and the location of world renowned artists Picasso, Monet, Van Gogh and many others during the 19th century. The area still has the old artesian vibe with cobblestone streets and local shops galore! Make sure you ask for tour guide Stan.

Marie is an excellent guide. This is a 3-hour tour (bring walking shoes), and she kept it moving right along.
We saw places of interest throughout Montmartre, stopped several times in the shadows to rest, and even shared a wine and cheese tasting.
We stopped first at a bakery, then a chocolate shop, then a second bakery. Each time, she plied us with small edible selections from each stop, as well, as anecdotes, stories, and fun facts about the area. Of course, once we arrived in the artist area, we stopped for Madelines and macarons. Yum.
Our long sit-down stop was shortly before noon @ an area café where we each had a glass of white wine, red wine, baguette, charcuterie, and a nice selection of cheeses to taste test. We shared café space with another tour group, and that leader did an excellent job discussing wines and cheeses.
On the way to our stopping place at Sacre-Coeur, Marie walked us past amazing street art, and showed us where artists & musicians lived; as we walked and talked, she connected with each of us on a personal level.
Marie is accomplished in several languages; she was very patient with my poor pronunciations.
I highly recommend this tour.

Good evening, we are interested in the Monday afternoon (2:30) wine and food tour. Our travel plans are not solidified yet since so I was wondering if there was a way we could work out a way to reserve our spot and pay once our travel is confirmed? I hope to hear from you, thank you kindly!

We are staying at le hotel realis saint honore, is that really far from the walking tour?
Written 25 August 2022
The start of the tour is opposite the moulin rouge - looking at the map it’s about a 30 min walk. But the walking tour is about 3 hours plus so it depends on how much you want to walk. I found lots of Ubers around to use throughout Paris and very reasonable - but we were staying in August which is the low season for Paris apparently. It’s a great tour.

2 in our party don’t drink wine/alcohol. Do you have like a lemon/ mint drink to substitute?
Written 5 August 2022
Yes they do... but seem to also offer the wine anyway which will make your friends super popular with the non teat total members of the tour
Written 19 January 2023
Agree completely with the two previous answers. Definitely check with the tour guide to see if it is ok. The tour will take you up some hilly terrain and makes many stops. Your toddler will enjoy the tasty food but may not be able to make it through the entire 3+ hour tour. And the wine/cheese stop is about 45 minutes long. You always have the option to leave whenever you want.

During the tour, we will be visiting any of the famous sights on Montmartre Hill?
Written 22 June 2022
I cannot think of any 'famous' sights we didn't visit, Sacre Coeur, Moulon Rouge etc. etc. I guess the only place people would visit that we didn't spend any significant time in was the cemetry... which sounds facetious but is actually a serious statement, so if you want to walk around the cemetry you will have to do it after the tour.
