Our guide, Darren, was fantastic! We signed up for the Manchester Music Tour, but Darren did such a great job with combining it with Football history along with overall history of the City of Manchester. He had first hand knowledge of so many of the places that we visited and it was so great to get his perspective having lived through the Madchester scene! Darren was extremely personable and we got on with him very well. I would strongly recommend him to anyone that has a chance to participate in one of his many tours.

I am new to Manchester and I decided to arrange a 4-hour private tour of the city to understand its layout, main attractions and history. Kevin was my tourguide and he exceeded my expectations. Kevin walked me to all main landmarks, explained the fascination history of Manchester, but also the life in this great city. I was blown away by how many library, museums, history there is in Manchester, but also by the variety of neighbourhoods. Kevin is very engaging, knowledgeable and charming. He gave many tips about places to visit on my own. I very much enjoyed my tour with him. I could have not asked for a better first introduction to Manchester.

It was amazing to visit the Salford Lads Club, with the Smiths room and all the base history of the poorer part of Manchester, reflecting on the origin of the music history. For the latter 2 out of 3 hours, we strolled around some interesting spots but the depth of any related stories was lacking and needed some break from walking, not just at the end.

Had an excellent walking tour with Darren around Manchester. Showed us lots of hidden gems tailored specifically to us. Learned a lot about the rich history that Manchester has to offer while on an easy delightful walking tour. Would definitely recommend this experience.

This was a 3 hours Get to know Manchester private tour with Jutta, on my first full day. It was great. I wanted to learn some history and see something of Roman times to Industrial Revolution, architecture and music scene over time and now. Jutta is amazingly well informed about all these things and much more. The pace was perfect for me, although some might want a slower pace and she was happy to let me choose the pace and distance.. Jutta was willing to sit for a rest if I wanted that. The tour was like having a smart local friend in town. A great experience for me.

Darren was a fantastic guide with lots of wonderful stories about Manchester’s history. I especially enjoyed the sit down for a beer and was introduced to a new favorite from Taack brewery

This is an unforgettable experience. Darren is personable, knowledgeable and tremendous company. We saw so much and learned so much taking in the famous and not so famous sites,interspersed with personal stories and reminiscences. We walked for miles but the time just rushed by and left us thirsting for more. If you have time to spare and an interest in the Manchester music scene, then you miss this tour at your peril!

I am afraid this tour was very poor . The guide was a very pleasant man but he lacked any in-depth knowledge of the city which we know is rich in history and culture . We abandoned the tour after about 45 minutes after the stop at the Cathedral - the guide’s lack of knowledge of this , one of Manchester’s most historic sites confirming our misgivings .

Roy is a wonderful guide. He gave us a great picture of the history and culture of the city. He tailored the tour to our interests and we enjoyed a nice time in an ancient pub. Would take a tour with him again any time.

Lots of memorable stories and interesting locations. Have chosen the 4 hour tour, but if you think of the 8 hour one, definitely go for it.

Darren was amazing. Awesome insight into the amazing Manchester music scene and was so cool to just hang out with and chat and hang with. I look forward to seeing him again in the future and doing more tours.
