Fantastic tour and life changing experience
My husband and I had a fantastic time on our Cliffs of Moher day trip. John B was knowledgeable and friendly. He expertly drove the bus while not skipping a beat of the guided tour.

Great way to see the cliffs
John B was a great driver, incredibly friendly & knowledgeable! I went solo and had a great experience. Easy way to see the cliffs. The rest of the tour was nice and good way to see more of Ireland, but the cliffs are the real highlight

      A must have tour experience
I had John B as a driver and guide today and he was absolutely wonderful. He was knowledgeable about the areas we went to, well spoken, and quite funny. He kept us on schedule, but let us take our time on the tours. He also would throw in random tidbits and I learned a lot while having a great time with my friends. This was more than worth what I paid for it.

      Caves are fun surprise
Fun day and fun driver (Seamus - sorry if the spelling is incorrect). Friendly and good humor. Wonderful sites and highly recommend spending the extra money to join the Ailwee Caves tour part of the day. It ended up being one of our highlights of our entire visit. Roads not too bad if you get motion sickness, only felt it lightly at certain parts of the drive as someone who gets severe motion sickness. Highly recommend!

      Great day trip
Great day trip through Connemara to Kylemore Abbey, and then back to Galway along the coast. Michael was a wonderful guide who shared a lot of great information about the area as we traveled through the countryside. We wished we had more time at Kylemore Abbey, but it's hard to fit everything in in one day, especially during the winter when it gets dark early.

      A fantastic day
The tour was well paced. John B. had it all orchestrated to the minute but we never felt rushed. John was full of information. Just the right mix of history and culture so we could understand the significance of the features, landscapes, locales we visited. I highly recommend touring with John. He was a pleasure to have as a guide.

      Excellent tour while in Ireland
Our driver was very friendly and very funny. He gave us great information and kept us entertained as well as had the appropriate amount of down time. The cliffs are beautiful! It was cold, wet, and windy (which we expected) so dress appropriately for weather. We visited cave as well and it was really cool. The whole experience was fantastic!

      Best tour from Galway
Excellent tour of cliffs, cave, and castles (even with the rain). Seamus was great! Very informative and gave good background in history, music, and local places to explore. Lunch was good as well. Would recommend this tour to anyone.

Hands down best tour (rain or shine)! Small enough to ask questions and get a personalized experience (7 others on the trip including myself and boyfriend). We had a lot of rain, but our tour guide Phil was terrific, knowledgeable, funny, and updated our itinerary on the fly to make the experience well worth the money. We still got to go on the ferry to the cliffs (despite the rain). I’d definitely recommend taking the horse and carriage ride on Inis Oirr if it is raining. Phil organized the horse and carriage ride, if requested, and it was a great way to see the island! On a sunny day our photos would’ve been better - but again, we loved our experience! 100% would do again and recommend others to go!

Lally Tours exceeded my expectations with their Premium Small Group Tour from Galway to the Cliffs of Moher Cruise, Aran Islands, and Connemara Full Day Tour. The tour struck the perfect balance between comfort, safety, and informative entertainment. Our driver, Ronan, was exceptional, ensuring a smooth journey and even handling unexpected stops with ease.

Barry, our tour guide, was a standout. His genuine care for our experience was evident as he shared insights and maintained an engaging pace throughout the journey. He even checked in on those feeling seasick, demonstrating a level of attentiveness that truly set this tour apart.

Compared to other tours I've taken, Lally Tours stands out as a top recommendation. With ample time at each stop and a well-organized itinerary, I left feeling like I had seen everything I wanted to without feeling rushed. If you're considering exploring the Galway region, I highly recommend Lally Tours for an unforgettable experience

Our group of 7 had a wonderful trip to all of the indicated sight PLUS others not indicated in the description. We were fully warned if weather conditions did not cooperate, the Boat trip might not happen. We were blessed with good weather and no rain!! Phil the owner and guide) is passionate about the sights and history he brought us to experience and view. This is obviously not a job to him it is bringing small groups of people to visit and experience his home and where he group up. Amazing insights. Amazing stops. While on the island stop you have a choice of walking to the castle on a self guided walk or talking a horse cart tour at a minimal additional charge. We took the cart. which we found to be well worth the additional 15 Euro/person.

Be careful if he brings you to the chocolate shop. The smells and tastes are amazing.

This is the best experience we've had so far in Ireland (14 days into a self guided 21 day trip).

Our tour leader, Phil, and our driver, Niall, were great! Phil was very knowledgeable about the area and history and kept us very engaged with facts, jokes, and songs as Gaeilge. We had a beautiful sunny and warm day and both Inis Oírr and the Cliffs of Moher were spectacular.

I am giving only an average rating because this is advertised as a small group tour and is significantly more expensive than other tours. While the bus may have been a small group of people, we definitely were not a small group on the ferry (fair enough) and then we joined 3-4 other tour groups on the "cruise" past the Cliffs of Moher, which meant we were vying for space to take photographs of the cliffs. Being on the packed boat and struggling to get photographs took away from my enjoyment of just being at the astoundingly beautiful cliffs.

It's most likely not safe to take a small boat out on those waters with the temperamental Irish weather. But please don't advertise this as a small group tour - outside of the times inside the bus, it is definitely not small group. And I feel like a saw a lot less in this tour than when the tour I did last year (Leenane Village, Killary Fjord...) which was half the price and where we stopped several times.

Both Inis Oírr and The Cliffs of Moher are amazing, of course. Tip: if you do take this trip, cut your time on Inis Oírr short and get to the front of the line for the boat cruise. If it's a sunny day, you could get a seat outside! (Maybe even if it's a rainy day.)

Again, this rating does not reflect the quality of service provided by Phil and Niall.

Lally tours (John) was absolutely amazing to work with for our destination wedding. Everyone loved the day trips and he ensured our group travelled together even though everyone booked individually. He was at our welcome event to answer questions for people, helped arrange busses, and even led a pub tour for our group.

We had taken a trip to Galway a year earlier and signed up for the Cliffs/Burren day trip just to see what it was like. We were very impressed which is why we contacted them to see what the options were for groups.

We would highly recommend Lally for anyone visiting Galway!

We traveled by minibus from central Galway to Rossaveal, with a brief Connemara photo-op stop along the way. We then took the small ferry to the Aran Islands. The ferry stopped first at Inishmaan, but we all stayed on to Inis Oírr/Inisheer. Then it was up the hill to Tigh Ruairí, where I had a seafood chowder and half a Smithwick's. Yum.

We had time to walk around, but I decided to join most of the passengers on a pony and cart tour. This way, we saw most of the island, including the shipwrecked cargo vessel Plassey. Then it was back to the dock to catch the ferry to Doolin, with a detour to sail close to the Cliffs of Moher.

Our driver was waiting for us in Doolin, and we drove back to Galway along the County Clare coast, past the limestone pavement of the Burren. The commentary was thoughtful and informative, and we paused at a 'famine village', a small community that was deserted during An Gorta Mór, the great hunger of the late 1840s.

It was a fabulous day, and I recommend Lally Tours.

What a beautiful day to take a boat ride. One of 2 clear days a year. The seas were calm and the tour guide Phil was hilarious. After pick up Phil talked about history overall, every town details and key points of interest we passed, and Sarah was a phenomenal driver around some of the tightest roads we have seen. We first did about a 45 min boat ride around the Cliffs and then we went to Aron Island where we spent about 2 hrs taking a 30 min horse and 15 Euro per person carriage ride to see the main points and cultural details of the island. Then we got back on the boat and road around for another hour before we got back to land where the driver met us and drove back. Got back around 7pm. Long day but worth it.

Wow, wow, wow!! Phil and Niall outdid themselves. We spent an incredible day with them, covering amazingly diverse parts of the Galway Bay. The smallest Aran island was rugged and beautiful. We had a chance to grab a quick lunch, then wander to see the castle ruin at the top of the island, get a good glance at the old cemetery and walk along the white sand beach, where hearty vacationers were swimming in the bluest of blue-green water. Then another ferry to the Cliffs of Moher. I mean—just incredible. And the Burren! Fascinating landscape and sights. We had ample opportunities to stop—and the Hazel Mountain chocolate store cannot be beat. All the while Niall kept us safe and moving and Phil told engaging stories and knew everyone everywhere we went. We couldn’t have improved upon this day. Our thanks!

My daughter and I had an amazing time on Lally Tours, Small Group Tour to the Aran Islands, Cliffs Of Moher, Connemara and the Burren. Our guide Phil was extremely knowledgeable, giving in depth commentary on all aspects of Irish life, history and geography. The small group setting made for a very personal experience and the Mercedes mini bus was extremely comfortable. The scenery along the Wild Atlantic Way was absolutely jaw dropping, and Phil’s commentary was extraordinary, as befits a retired teacher with 25 years of experience. I felt like I was getting a private tour for a group price, the value was amazing.
I cannot recommend this tour enough!!

We were excited for this tour that would take us to several places using a small tour bus and 2 different ferries. We first left from Galway on the bus to the harbor. Connor was our guide for the day with Sarah as our expert driver. Connor let us know the itinerary for the day and was very good at giving good instructions and then repeating them again so we wouldn't forget when to be at the meeting point. He encouraged us along the way and looked out for the 19 of us. He was always cheerful. Sarah was an amazing driver. There were a few times on the narrow roads that both vehicles had to inch by but her experience really made the difference. We were excited to see the Cliffs of Moher at the bottom of the cliffs. Connor let us know the level of bouncing around from the surf at the beginning. Unfortunately, when we turned around to look at the cliffs, the surf changed and it became too rough to stay outside for pictures. It was still wonderful to view them even if we don't have many pictures. Inishsheer was very interesting and we enjoyed walking up to the O'Brien Castle ruins and looked at the cemetery with the sunken church. We saw the shipwreck on the way in and it was too windy, rainy, and cold for to do much more hiking. We enjoyed getting a glimpse of island life there. The second ferry ride was not as rough so we made it to the harbor without much problem. The ride back to Galway took us along the Wild Atlantic Way. Connor had us stop at a Thatched Roof home where he showed us peat and told us how he helped his grandfather dig out the peat, dry it, stack it, and then distribute it to family during the summer. He shared with us places to go just outside of Galway and Galway for trad sessions, and good food. We had a wonderful day with Connor and Sarah. Thanks Lally Tours!
