      Wonderfull and exciting experience!
Great views and landscapes. Tommy, the bus driver, was very funny and very informative, with lots of insider, cultural and historical stories. At lunchtime we went to a typical Irish pub where we could feast on Irish beef with Guinness. We were lucky with the weather. Wonderful experience, again and again...

Tommy and Anthony are the best tour guides ever. Tommy is a wonderful chat and very knowledgeable, as well as a total hoot when we all explored together. Anthony is just as knowledgeable and attests to the consistency of the Galway Tour Company drivers. He is also a great dancer :)

Tommy the top tour guide and the beautiful Cliffs of Moher
My partner and I went on the cliffs of Moher & Burren tour today. Tommy was our tour guide and coach driver and we honestly had the best time. Tommy had so much knowledge all things Ireland which was great as it kept us intrigued at the views throughout. We went to a lovely Irish pub for lunch which was super cosy and the food was bloody lovely. We had Irish coffees, Irish stew and seafood chowder. The cliffs of Moher are breathtaking - we had clear skys and lots of winds, it was an an amazing experience and the 8 hour tour flys by!!! I have to reiterate how brilliant Tommy our tour guide was - he was super accommodating and had the best craic. 100% recommend this tour if you’re staying in Galway.

      Great guides and comfortable bus!
I had a great time with both Tommy and Anthony as tour guides for our trip. They both gave us their own knowledge on the tour, which was especially helpful for our educational trip. The bus was great quality too!

      An absolute must!!!!
I had the pleasure of doing multiple tours with the Galway tour company. We had two amazing bus drivers, Tommy and Anthony. They were both great tour guides, providing bits of information throughout the drive and pointing out interesting areas. The Galway Tour company is essential to getting to see many parts of Ireland.

We enjoyed the Aran Islands, it’s a cute small island village. You will need to spend an additional 15 Euros per person to take a bus, bike horse carriage to explore the island. Our tour guide was also good. The term “cruise” is a little misleading as it’s just a ferry ride. Many people including ourselves vomited on the ferry as it is quite a rough ride so I would not recommend this tour if you get motion sick or come prepared with motion sickness medication. I don’t usually get motion sick but still threwup 🤢. On the way back, the ferry takes a detour along the cliffs, I find this was unnecessary as this is when most people vomited and the bus later takes you to the top of the cliffs, which is more enjoyable view of the cliffs.

“Wow!”, is all I have to say. This was an orderly, well-structured tour of some incredible local sights. Our tour guide John was super informative and fun. The bus drive is about 2 hours each way but there are lots of sights and landscapes to enjoy along the way. The weather in this area is hit and miss so the ferries to the island sometimes get cancelled. The ferry ride can also be very rough out of Doolin so motion sickness medication is recommended. Luckily the crossing is only about 20 minutes on the way to Inisheer, at least double that on the way back as they drive you past the Cliffs of Moher. Hire bikes, horse & buggies (highly recommend, the drivers will share all kinds of local history and info), or a mini bus to make sure you get to all the sights on Inisheer. The lunch at McGann’s in Doolin was some of the best food and definitely the fastest service we’ve had in Ireland. You also get a stop up at the top of the cliffs for a different view before heading back to Galway. This is an all day tour. Highly recommend!!

It was a wild time on the Wild Atlantic Way. Anthony , our tour guide, was excellent and insightful-- took us to a top-tier pub and even showed us a few alpacas. We highly recommend taking a pony ride on the island. Our pony guide sang folk songs the whole time and showed us the house he was born in. The waves on the ferry to the island, however, were quite rough ahead of a storm. 15 minutes of stomach dropping, but of course, you can't control the weather!

From start to finish, a fantastic experience! Anthony, our driver and tour guide, navigated the narrow and winding streets between Galway and Doolin expertly while discussing and pointing out history and structures along the way (and back) with a calm demeanor and excellent sense of humor. The bus was well appointed with a toilet, and clean. Be prepared to defend your seats (leave a personal item) if you don’t want to sit somewhere else after each stop.

Once in Doolin, we boarded the express ferry, which is about a 15 minute ride to the large island. Be prepared for some large swells, especially if the winds are blowing, as the journey passes through some unprotected waters. If you’re on the top deck, you may get sprayed with waves crashing into the boat. We loved it, but it wasn’t for everyone!

The Aran islands were fantastic with their homes, small shops, and ruins to explore. We had almost two hours to explore and we were able to get a lot in. The boat ride from there, back toward the Doolin pier would be diverted to see the Cliffs of Moher from the ocean. An incredible and unique way to view the cliffs. The boat would slow and a narration of the history of the cliffs and local wildlife was broadcast over the loudspeakers as we drifted along the cliffs taking it all in.

From there, back to Doolin for a late pub lunch. The pub was large enough to seat everyone and with self service drinks and a limited (but delicious) menu, the entire bus was able to get in and out for a hot meal and a pint writhing 45 minutes. The final stop was to the top of the Cliffs of Moher where we got to explore for an hour.

The bus journey back to Galway was along the shore road with different views and more narration from Anthony who delivered us safely back to Galway.

This was an epic all-day adventure. Be prepared for weather and motion sickness, if you’re sensitive to that. Bring water and snacks. There are plenty of food shops on the island, and more at the Cliffs and you do stop for lunch but there are also long spaces between where you may need a nibble or a sip of water.

    I highly recommend this tour!

Our favorite activity so far! Our bus driver, Dave, had an incredible knowledge of the area and its history, we learned a ton! He made sure to point out all the cute little animals along the way to Doolin and made sure we got preferred access to the best tours in the Aran Islands, we’d highly recommend the bikes! Dave also has a great collection of Irish and pop music which he plays throughout the trip and had the whole bus singing! The pub in Doolin was very homey, definitely get the Irish stew! Overall an amazing trip, and we’d highly recommend it to anyone!

The entire tour was very well orchestrated. David "Good Shhhtuff" the driver was very entertaining throughout the trip. The Boat ride out to the island and looking at the Cliffs from the sea on a beautiful day, then we chose the mini van to tool us around the small island (other options were E bikes, reg bikes or horse and carriage ride), small tour shop and a pub (with excellent cappuccino). Also ate at a local pub (very well managed to deal with bus tours - and a beautiful rainbow appeared at the end of lunch when we headed to the bus. Then up to the Cliffs of Moher by bus and a walkabout to the sights and shops.

Could not recommend this tour more! My fiancée Cian and I had the best time during our engagement trip in Galway. The whole trip was so organised, informative and fun. Tommy was the perfect guide/driver, entertaining us the whole trip, worried about everybody’s fun and so well informed with loads of history bits and the best jokes! For those worried about being “stuck” with a large group of people, we recommend taking the bikes in the Inisheer island. It was a cool break from the other tourists when we could do our own thing. The sea was wilder than usual and it was very hard not to get sick, glad we took Tommy’s the advice of not eating before getting on the boat, it was spot on. Would go back today if I could. Thanks again, Tommy!

We were very lucky to have one of the top 5 days in Ireland when we went. Everything was perfect, the ease of travel, the calm waters, the e bike rental (you’ll have a choice between bike, e bike, or horse by your guide upon arrival to the island) was worth every penny of €40. You’ll see the Cliffs from boat below and up above- for the two perspectives.
It was quite interesting riding on a large coach on the small roads- at one point we reversed to allow for a tractor to fit through!
All in all, a wonderful experience- I highly recommend!

The Galway Tour Company is the way to go! My husband and I did the Aran Island/Cliffs of Moher tour and it was an easy, enjoyable experience. Check-in was simple and fast. Dave was our tour leader and he is one of the most charismatic tour guides you will ever meet. The drive was one filled with beautiful scenery and fun facts. Our ferry trip might have been one for the ages with glassy seas and gorgeous weather. We had a wonderful time taking the local horse carriage (not through GTC) on the island that hit the highlights. After this the tour along the bottom of the cliffs is a MUST. It really set the perspective of the Cliffs, allowing us to see the landmark from the bottom and the top. I cannot recommend this tour enough!!!!
*Side note: if you get carsick/seasick like I do, I highly recommend taking Dramamine, wearing a patch or the wrist bands as the drive is a bit curvy. PLEASE don't let that be the reason that stops you from doing this tour. It was great!!!!*

There is no way we would have been able to see and learn so much about these important national treasures in one day without a guided tour. If you have limited time on your itinerary and need a break from driving, this tour is well worth the money. Tommy was an excellent guide and was considerate and patient for the over 50 passengers on the bus. We didn’t get an opportunity for lunch (at our own expense) until after 3:00. A cute historic pub in Doolin accommodated our entire group quickly. Food was hot, tasty, and prices were reasonable.
