My daughter and I had taken a Rabbie's tour in Scotland three years ago, and I was excited to see that they were now in Ireland. This time I went on my own, after dropping her off to the University in Ireland. We had a great group of people traveling on their own and couples

Hi there, Thank you very much for your feedback, we're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the overall experience. We don't pick our passengers up in the departure city as we want to make sure we can have a swift departure and maximise the touring time rather than spending the first hour picking up around these busy cities. Our vehicles are custom fitted for touring, but we're sorry to hear that you were not very comfortable. We do include walks on each of our tours, so we ask passengers to let us know about any mobility issues at the time of booking so that we can discuss the suitability of the tour and make any necessary arrangements in advance. We do have to park safely and within designated coach parking if available, so we can't always get up close to the sites. Guides should nonetheless do what is possible to accommodate and assist those with mobility limitations and we're sorry if there was a lack of consideration on this occasion. We exclude admission fees so that each passenger has the flexibility to pick and choose which things they want to see and spend money on. This is hopefully clear in the tour booking information. Our itineraries are carefully planned to include a variety of stops - covering major sites of cultural/historic interest, natural scenic stops, local towns and villages etc so we're disappointed to hear that you didn't enjoy the balance and felt rushed at times. Places like Derry (UK City of Culture 2013) and Galway have a lot to offer and our passengers usually enjoy the opportunity and time to explore, but we appreciate that everyone has different preferences. We have taken note of your comments and will compare this with other feedback when we next review the itinerary 'Marching season' in Northern Ireland is April to August and parade are quite common during this time. July 12th is a major date in the diary, but we are not aware of an event on 12th September that would have affected this route - It is particularly unusual to hear of a parade on a Thursday - in our experience they are always on Saturdays. We're sorry if we missed something and will look into this so we can avoid it in future. We have had some great feedback for this particular tour but we're sorry that you were personally disappointed. If you want to discuss any of this feedback with us directly, please do feel free to get in touch at feedback@rabbies.com. Kind Regards, Aimee
