This was a wonderful experience! The amount of time given to explore and walk around the Cliffs of Moher and Galway was great! It gives you a taste of what these areas are like and definitely inspires you to come back and experience more! The guide (Antonio) and bus driver (Owen) went above and beyond in order to give us the best experience possible. On our way back, Antonio personally went to each person on the bus (~60 people) and shared his own personal favorite spots within Dublin to explore.

Tips for the trip are: wear comfy shoes so you can enjoy the walk and adventures that await when going to the Cliffs and Galway. I went in January, and the weather was quite chilly, so I'd also recommend taking waterproof shoes that have good traction if you go in the colder months.

We could not have been happier with our experience! Owen was our fantastic driver who navigated small and winding roads and made us feel very safe and comfortable the entire trip. Kevin was our tour guide who went the extra mile to make our journey interesting and informative. You can tell that he is very passionate about what he does and the history of Ireland. There were plenty of well-timed stops along the way on this trip and we loved getting to see the Burren and Galway. We felt we received the full value of the money spent on this trip and would highly recommend it!!

I did the Cliffs of Moher tour on the first day of April. In Dublin it started with pouring rain but by the time we got to the West (where the Cliffs and Galway are), the sun was up and shining. The weather is unpredictable in Ireland but I think April is a good time to do it.
Our tour guide Sara was lovely. She knew a lot about mythology and it was really fun to learn about Irish folklore. She also gave us tips on where to go, how to speak some Irish words and even sang traditional Irish songs (she had a beautiful voice!). I highly recommend the experience! The landscapes are beautiful, the bus stops every once in a while so the trip doesn't feel long and it's always a plus to have a tour guide that enjoys her job. 10/10

I am giving the tour a 5 star rating because it delivers exactly what it promises. It leaves Dublin and takes you to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway City. I would note that the initial boarding is a little chaotic and would benefit from some additional organization.

Obviously, it would be my recommendation to all that they travel themselves to the west coast of Ireland, allowing themselves to spend additional time on that coast and explore these lovely spots. Obviously that is not an option for all. They are then left with this type of tour (or a more expensive private tour). Again, the tour delivers exactly what it says. With two hour stops at both the cliffs and Galway, which is actually quite smart given the bus ride. You have more than ample time to completely explore the cliffs, hike for quite some time and see the visitor centre. To be honest, you could likely do with an hour and a half, but the additional time after the long bus ride (close to 4 hours) to get there is welcome.

A quick stop to the Burren is nice to see, but doesn’t provide much time to explore (about 20 minutes), just time to get out and take pictures. Finally on to the last destination, Galway City. Galway is a lovely town and one that is easily explored on foot. Again, a long two hours is perfectly sufficient to see most of the key sites without difficulty, again, spending additional time here would be welcome as the city expands with these types of tours during the day. Mercifully it is a shorter bus ride back to Dublin down the main motorway from Galway and you are returned at the appropriate hour.

Overall, I would say that the tour likely stretches the visitor too far for a single day. However, provided you are prepared for the journey and that you have no alternative for visiting these two sites, Wild Rover does a lovely and frankly economical job of bringing visitors in Dublin to these two specific sites and provides more than ample time to properly explore without feeling rushed. I would not hesitate to recommend.

I have been on many tours but Sara is a truly exceptional guide! Paolo was awesome driver too and drove us everywhere safely! Sara oh my, she was so charming and so passionate about Ireland you could easily see how much she loves her beautiful country, the fairy stories were extraordinary, everybody kept wanting to know more , i personally was truly amazed and loved how she was pointing out little fairy circle, fair trees and even a laprichaun castle! It was also fascinating to hear the stories of the hostory of Ireland and when she sang that song Grace with her beautiful voice I literally started shedding tears it was truly beautiful and emotional! My favourite part was how she dedicated individual approach and time to each and every one of us on the two hours back to ask how did we like the tour and if we had any questions and she spent good 5 minutes with everyone individually answering all our questions! Shes really special and i really appreciated her as a guide! The Cliffs of Moher were out of this world and i even got to see puffins!! However i got a little too ambitious and went all the way both ways and then i ran out of time but still made it on time whew! Galway was really nice too , interesting little town , nice food although not much to do there but still enjoyable! I definitely recommend the tour and from what i heard definitely from the people for most of them their favourite part was the fairy tale stories :)

My husband and I were a bit hesitant to book the tour mainly because of the weather. We kept monitoring it and when we saw sunshine in the forecast we did not hesitate to book right away.
The cliffs were majestic, I had always thought Big Sur was similar but nothing comes close to these cliffs. Even if there is sunshine, it will be windy and cold, I highly recommend you wear hiking shoes if you have them.
Our tour guides were Suzanne and Joe, they were great. Suzanne provided us with plenty of tips and stuff to do at our stops.
Two hours is plenty of time on the cliffs just because the weather there was rough and the wind makes it hard to stay there for longer, we went all the lighthouse and went back down. Galway is a hidden gem, we enjoyed some lunch and also went to Christmas Market. Two hours was plenty of time for us to enjoy it and see if you want to come back, which we will.
We read some negative reviews in the past, but I think those were not objective or accurate. Tour companies have no control over the weather, they have strict schedules and there is no room for lateness.
Book the tour, you will not regret it.

Take Wild Rover tours if you are Caucasian and blond - skip otherwise. Took the trip with Joe and Suzanne. We were first to board the bus but were told that the first few seats are reserved and we should sit at the back. We asked if the seats had an extra fee for reservation and were informed no, they were not for us. When asked politely if they could be reserved in advance for future trips, we were told they were for mobility impaired. However Joe picked perfectly sprightly younger people who were able to jump of the bus and tour the cliffs and had them personally fill the first few seats without even a glance or hello to the other races. Felt discriminated and did not enjoy your. Similar experience with other copassenger who was first to arrive very early to ensure good seats. Don’t understand the concept of reserved seating unless really people with challenges not “looks”

Really, what a rediculous review. That chip on your shoulder needs to be dealt with. Why dont you do the rest of us a favour and sort yourself out. What "blond hair with blue eyes" as typical for people of Irish extraction!! That's a first, are you that silly or is it a line your lifted and thought I must remember that the next time I want to claim racism. Poor you. If you were first on the coach the furthest you would have sat from the front row would have been row three. Regards, John

I recently took the Cliffs of Moher and Galway City Tour as a solo traveler, and I was fortunate to have Sean as my tour guide and Patrick as my driver. I must say that Sean's knowledge of the area and his passion for sharing it with others was truly impressive. He kept us engaged throughout the tour with his interesting facts and stories about the history, culture, and traditions of the places we visited. I learned so much from him and appreciated his willingness to answer any questions we had.

Patrick, on the other hand, was an excellent driver. He navigated the winding roads with ease, ensuring that we arrived at our destinations safely and on time. His friendly demeanor and positive attitude also made the journey all the more enjoyable.

Overall, I had an unforgettable experience on this tour, thanks to Sean and Patrick. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the breathtaking beauty of the Cliffs of Moher and the charming city of Galway, and learn from two passionate professionals who are committed to providing a top-notch experience.

This was my first ever booking through Trip Advisor so I relied heavily on reviews and commendations from the Trip Advisor page. Let me say—this tour far EXCEEDED its already amazing praise. Our tour guide, Sara, and our driver, Owen, helped us navigate throughout Ireland in a way that was digestible and super fun. We were very overwhelmed by the long journey but our guides broke up the trip for quick breaks to stretch and use the restrooms and kept us entertained throughout our day! Sara gave us a very enjoyable, fun, and detailed history of Ireland using landmarks as talking points and Owen expertly drove us through the narrow passages on the Wild Atlantic Way. We learned so much including some Irish phrases and songs as well as some recommendations of places to eat and areas of entertainment in Galway and in Dublin! We cannot recommend this trip enough. If you are on the fence, take this review as your message to book it!

We had a wonderful trip! Our guide, Sean, was fabulous! He was attentive and always checking to make sure everyone was comfortable. He provided insights about various locations along the way, charging cords for people who needed to borrow them to charge their devices, and he even had a few different customized Irish music playlists for the journey, as well as a website for us to view providing even more history and information about the sites (which he prepared on his own while the tours were suspended due to covid). At one point, he regaled us with a song. At the stops, he made helpful suggestions about where to go and what to see, (and what not to do), and he even offered to take photos of us so our whole group could be in the picture. Our driver Gerry was also friendly, accommodating and helpful. The bus was much roomier than the tour bus we took in London. We were very fortunate to have a beautiful day to view the Cliffs and Galway. I highly recommend this trip if you want to get a view of the Irish countryside, the Cliffs, the “west coast” and a bustling Irish city.
