WOW is what we have to say. Richard, our driver, made it all happen. He was the best. The tour was perfectly paced and we heard so much interesting history and personal stories. Music was great (singing welcome). Nothing but great things to say about Richard. Awesome experience.

      Absolutely Wonderful
I have to say that was the best tour I have ever been on thanks to our lovely bus driver Richard O'Brien. The music was awesome and the insights incredible. Valued his timeliness and communication. His stories were the best part. Highly recommend!

      I had a great time!
Our driver, Richard O’Brien, was a taskmaster, insisting we be on time for departures. That aside, he was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and very entertaining. His driving skills are excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed conversing with him.

Bus Driver was Amazing; make sure to check weather
The weather was terrible, and yet the bus driver ensured we had a wonderful time. Even though the bus driver is not supposed to be a tour guide, he had wonderful stories. This turned what may have been an awful day into a good one. For example, Kilkenny Castle was closed due to weather (which was my main reason for booking this trip) but he told us other places we could see, and we stumbled upon an amazing museum! When we got to Glendalough it was very snowy, and so we took a vote on how long we would stay. Most passengers wanted to only stay an hour, (which was unfortunate for me because I was the only person who wanted to stay longer lol). he told us what we could do within an hour. His music was also AMAZING. Overall, I’d recommend checking for inclement weather two days before your tour and possibly cancelling if you really want to see Kilkenny. There wasn’t even snow yet and they had said they would close the day before. However, I’m giving 5 stars because TECHNICALLY it isn’t Paddywagon’s fault but I would have hoped they would keep us updated since the castle had closed the day before.

      Very bad
I had a disappointing experience with Paddywagon Tours. After being left without a guide at Glendalough and returning 5 minutes late, we discovered the bus had already left. Another driver we approached was unhelpful and mocked us instead of assisting. Thankfully, Quiggs from Finn McCools Tours came to our rescue, offering us a free ride to Kilkenny and a guided tour, completely turning our day around. While I wouldn’t recommend Paddywagon for their lack of support, I highly commend Quiggs for his kindness and professionalism.

      Thank you Richard!
Not only was this bus tour filled with beautiful views, but Richard went above and beyond to provide us with history and humor throughout. I appreciated all of the stops we made along the way and this was definitely a highlight of my trip. Thank you!

Wonderful Experience- Shea is the BEST tour guide!
Wonderful experience- especially if you’re looking for a trip to the Cliffs without the hassle of renting a car. Stops in a few cute towns along the way which is a nice way to see different areas in Ireland. Our tour guide, Shea, was incredibly kind and friendly- he was also very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had. He made the tour very special and simple for us!

      A definite must
This was a wonderful trip. The drive there was so lovely. The scenery was gorgeous and the guide/bus driver was very knowledgable and pointed out interesting snippets along the way. The bus was comfortable, and Wicklow was beautiful. The walk in nature was just so refreshing and wonderful And looking at the monastery ruins was fascinating. The museum was great with the highlight being the labyrinth rock, which even on its own was well with the trip. The trip back was lovely in the dark with all the Christmas lights through the small towns on the way home. I highly recommend this trip with Paddywagon which a professional and reliable company to work with.

Skip this company and go on a Wild Rovers tour.
Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this tour company. It really makes a huge difference having a driver and a guide like Wild Rovers. Unfortunately Frank was hard to follow (not from an accent but information stand point). He was also quite repetitive with filler information because I guess he didn’t have a lot of information to share like saying we were going to pick up a passenger in Belfast about 8 times. His microphone screeched every time he spoke. He also didn’t have a good handle on the crowd as people were late at every stop. They played their phones loud on the bus disturbing other passengers. The bus was also too hot and too cold for the start of the journey and the wifi didn’t work. I felt he drove quite fast but it might be normal here. I would recommend getting a Wild Rovers tour.

      Worst experience ever
I had a truly frustrating experience with Paddywagon Tours. My four friends and I booked a tour to Glendalough and Kilkenny, but things quickly went wrong. After arriving at Glendalough, we were left without a tour guide and were told to return in 1.5 hours. We ended up being 5 minutes late, and when we returned, the bus had already left. We searched for our vehicle, but instead found another Paddywagon bus heading to the city center. Instead of offering any assistance, the bus driver taunted us about being late, mocking our situation and making unnecessary remarks. It was not only unhelpful but also unprofessional. Thankfully, we found a kind-hearted guide, Quiggs, from Finn McCools Tours. He listened to our story and, without hesitation, welcomed us onto his bus. Not only did he take us to Kilkenny, but he also gave us a free tour of the city. Quiggs was an amazing guide, and he truly turned our day around. My advice to others would be not to expect any support from Paddywagon when things go wrong. Fortunately, there are still some great people like Quiggs who go above and beyond to help.

      A good tour
Richard O’Brien was a great drive and tour guide, very knowledgeable and a good sense of humor. I really enjoyed this tour and thought we had plenty of time at Giant’s Causeway.

      Giants causeway trip from Belfast
We went yesterday to the grants causeway, and we had such a good day. The guide Angelina was really good and very knowledgeable . The weather was terrible with gale force winds for most of the day, but it didn't spoil the day. We visited some lovely places along the way too, which was great too. We thn stopped off for food at a cosy pub on the way back to warm up. All in all a great day and a great experience with a good company.

      We loved this tour!
Blarney Castle has always been a bucket list for me! We opted for this tour to see some other sites coupled with The Blarney Castle. It was a small group (only 8 of us). We sat in the back of the bus, which was very comfortable with a lot of legroom (backpacks + shopping bags too)! Collin, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about each site and gave us tidbits of info before he began driving to the next site. Since we went in December, each site, was pretty much empty! We literally walked right through the castle and up the steps to kiss the stone. We also had LOTS of time to explore each room as it was empty (seriously, if we saw 15 people that was a lot)! The steps up to the stones were really tight and narrow, however the rope was a huge help and made it super easy! Once up top, it’s not for the faint of heart…open air and if you look over, lots of butterflies! We loved every second and would highly recommend!

      Unprofessional and unreliable! Avoid them
Tragic behaviour on their part and extremely unprofessional. No dear Patty Wagon, you have no right to take my money and ask me to cancel or change the day and time of my trip. I wish I could avoid this unacceptable company that I had the misfortune to buy tickets from.

      Shay made our day!
We (a group of 4) took a tour from Dublin that went out to Dunluce Castle and Giants Causeway. It was a day-trip that was very much worth our time! Our driver/guide Shay was lovely and very entertaining. He shared interesting parts of Irish history (a child-friendly version as there were kids on the bus), and played an interesting combination of Irish music and Christmas tunes. Definitely a nice way to see parts of Northern Ireland if you’re staying in the south (though they do run the tour out of Belfast too).

Unfortunately I can't recommend this tour to many people.

On day one we travelled down to Blarney Castle and Gardens with a short stop at Rock of Cashel. Rock of Cashel was really nice and the stop was long enough to have a look at everything.
I can't say the same for Blarney. If you want to go there just for the Blarney Stone, it'll be fine and you'll have enough time. If you plan on seeing more than just the castle and a fraction of the gardens, you'd have to spend more time there. After that we headed down to Cork and got dropped off at our Hostel or at the Hotel. The Hostel was "Sheila's Hostel" and despite some critical reviews on Google my experience was good and I felt comfortable throughout. JJ was our driver that day, he talked a lot and was fairly entertaining but not extremely informative.

On day two our goal was the Cliffs of Moher, where we spent 90 minutes. It was enough time to to walk up and down some of the trails and have a quick look at the museum too -- I thought it was great :)
The itinerary promises a lot more of a "roadtrip" afterwards but most things were just mentioned by our driver, Paul, in a sentence and then we moved on. The Wild Atlantic Way, Galway Bay, The Great Famine or Black Head was not mentioned and we did not see it (or passed without knowing it) -- that was disappointing, I was looking forward to it.
The second stop at Bunratty castle had potential. We got there at 2:50pm and left at 5pm: plenty of time to look at the castle and the park -- or so you'd think. We were told we shouldn't go into the castle, because we had to be back by 3:40pm. So we didn't go in and were at the bus at 3:40pm. There we were told we won't leave until 4:30pm. So we went back to waiting. At 4:30pm we were told we actually weren't gonna leave until 5pm. I think poor communication and unlucky timing both played equal parts here.

I'm glad I booked the Backpacker option, because 300$ wouldn't have been worth this trip. To finish off on a good note: The evening in Cork was very lovely and I think everyone enjoyed their stay there. Also we got really lucky with the Cliffs of Moher, we had perfect weather, barely wind and clear skies! Lunch was also really good, well organised and quick (price is not included in the tour, but there were affordable options).

If your main goals are to see the Cliffs of Moher and the Blarney Stone, book this tour, it will be a good fit! My expectations were higher after reading the itinerary.

We really enjoyed our two day tour of the Blarney Castle and Cliffs of Moher. The tour was interesting, well planned and the guides were excellent (Cash one day and Joe the next). The tour buses were clean and comfortable. I would have given five stars but our stay at the ‘B&B’ in Cork wasn’t great.. the establishment wasn’t clean and I had asked for two beds in advance, as I was traveling with my father, and ran into trouble when we arrived and were given one double bed for the two of us. Thankfully, it was resolved but it wasn’t without effort and refusing the room. If I would have known we were being put in a 1 Star accommodation, I would have booked the tour differently.. two separate day tours and the accommodation on my own. I reached out to Paddywagon and received a response three weeks later saying they are working on this issue. So if there is an issue, customer service doesn’t respond quickly. There was also no offer to makeup for the inconvenience and unpleasant stay. Based on this experience, I would recommend this tour group but would hesitate to book anything where they are in charge of the accommodation. Next time I go to Ireland I’ll look into the one day tours only.

I really enjoyed this trip. I am glad we did the two day tour and got to stay overnight in Cork. We especially loved the Cliffs of Moher. The bus drive home was too long. We went out of our way to switch buses.

A friend from Dublin recommended Paddywagon Tours for our upcoming Ireland visit and we trusted him fully, booking 4 trips with Paddywagon. This was such a great experience and I can not recommend them enough. The buses are super comfy and you can rest or relax while they handle the stress of driving around. The guides will talk you through key location and events in the areas around you and when its mostly farmland for a while, they will play Irish music - from classics to the Cranberries to set the theme. They were quite timely and they give plenty of stops for restrooms and leg stretches, as well as quick photo stops, some history lessons, they will have lunch stops planned in where the food is always excellent, and they have the time at locations very well planned out. We had such a truly wonderful time in Ireland and a great deal of that was thanks to the guides at Paddywagon. We had the best craic with Jackie as he toured us to the Rock of Casheel, Blarney Castle, and Cork, then on a another day he toured us through Northern Ireland's scenic coast to the Giant's Causeway and Belfast. He has so many relatable stories and tales, he's very well informed, and he also gave excellent recommendations for shopping and places to buy pints or dine out. We also enjoyed our tour with Martin to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, with the best lunch I have ever had in Doolin (at O'Connor's and you must try the goat cheese tarts). On the day we went to the Cliffs, it was supposed to rain, so they adjusted the itinerary to give us the best weather at each stop and it worked beautifully! The only thing we didn't enjoy was the overnight accommodations in Cork, which were clean and safe, but felt like it was on par of a hostel for backpackers than what an American would expect when they read "Bed & Breakfast". Still, this was definitely the best way to tour Ireland so yeah, book with Paddywagon.

Great experience overall! Like many, we’d planned to take this trip and tour the first part of 2020. We had appropriate communication about refunding/rescheduling and they were open and honest about the whole process. We decided to reschedule and they told us to let them know when and they’d get scheduled. We had no problems. Now, the tour itself was awesome! We got to see bucket list items of Ireland for first time visitors and learned a lot of Ireland’s history on the way. Our driver was Jackie and he was funny and knowledgeable. He gave us recommendations for movies, books etc. if we were interested in the many topics he discussed. I did find one factual discrepancy, so I would like my tip back if anyone at the company reads these. (I’m just teasing, internet.) If you can request a driver, request him. The accommodation was a B&B run by a lovely gentleman. They had clean, cozy rooms and good breakfast. Everything was worth seeing and experiencing - plenty of shopping opportunities too. If it rains at the Cliffs of Moher, just go with it; it’s still super cool.

2 groups were combined and there was a little bit of confusion while getting on the bus and we had to change the bus while returning to Dublin.
Hurried visits, places to eat were not that great. Poor choices of food specially for vegetarians.
Room that we were given was bad too. In a hotel ours was a ground floor room with all the noise from the hotel lobby and cleaning person etc were heard. Our view was a dumpster at the back yard.
Drop off was at a different place than the pick up(maybe that was speechified in the itinerary I am not sure)
Drivers were very courteous and knowledgeable.

I will not book with Viator/trip advisor if this quality of tours continues

Everything was planned for us! It made for a beautiful and stress free trip. We had three different bus drivers ( Frank, Brian and Cairan) all of them were on time, organized, instructional, and knew the terrain. Our overnight B&B was small but comfortable. I felt like I was back in college in the dorm. The next morning, it was nice to have breakfast before our bus driver (Brian) picked us up right when we were told. The two highlights were seeing the Blarney Castle and the Cliffs of Mohr but we enjoyed every stop! The last day we were left at the last stop and the new bus driver (Cairan) pick us at the time we were told. Thirty minutes later we were headed back to Dublin.

Paddy Wagon suggestions- We would love that more time be planned to see the cliffs. We didn’t get to do everything we wanted to do.

The overall experience was poor. The 2 day tour is not recommended. You are switched between 3 buses, which was not known previously. The hotel in Cork was extremely poor quality, hostel quality (spiders on the ceiling). The itinerary was changed compared to the description. We did not have the opportunity to see Bunratty castle and village due to bus changes and lack of time - not sure why it is on the schedule if there is no time to see it (if you decide to see it, entry free is NOT included in tour cost). Lunch at the Frantic Chef was 5 out of 10. Throughout the tour, we were not allowed to bring food on bus, and not enough time to grab and eat at the stops. Basically choosing between eating and touring!

Overall, I would not recommend a 2 day tour. Rather do day trips, but note that the trip from Dublin to the south or west is a long drive so be prepared.

The good…if you go to Cork, eat at Mayne’s (Pembroke street)…great place for cocktails and food. If you go to Bunratty, save time to grab ice cream and food, very good.

Richard on the first tour to Blarney Castle and Alex on the second tour to the cliffs were both very Imformative and funny in diffrent ways. Their info and hostory rarely overlapped. They both ran a tight ship and everything went smoothly. The sites themselves were well worth seeing. On the second tour we met up with Richard at one of the rest stops and even though he wasnt our guide that day he told us he would be saving my family with kids seats that day. I dont think we met a person in Ireland that wasnt friendly.

I (35M) did the tour with my mom (60F) and we loved it! First of all can't say enough about how wonderful the tour guides were Richard was our main tour guide and he was informative, funny and approachable! He made our trip just that much more enjoyable as we drove from one place to another.

We also had Alex who taught us about the Irish Flag which was great! Also an enjoyable tour guide!!

The trip itself was beautiful! We got lucky and when we went to Blarney it only took 25 mins to get up to the stone to give it a big smacking kiss!! The grounds were also beautiful to walk!

The Cliffs of Moher were the second day and when we first got there it was too foggy to see anything but after an hour (we had 2 hours there) the fog cleared and we could see everything!

You do other stops along the way The Burren was also very cool! It would be nice to have a few extra minutes there though.

Oh and the accomodation was very european...no AC and just a quick continental breakfast but it did the trick! I slept soundly and was ready to go for the second day!!

All in all i was VERY happy with my choice of tour!
