- JenlKn0 contributionsA fantastic way to see Southern IrelandWhat a fabulous tour this was! Ireland is a truly beautiful country and this three day tour allowed us to see so much of it with all the hassle of organisation and driving taken gratefully from our hands. We got so lucky with the weather given that it was January. We were part of a very small group (not surprising given the time of year) and so our wonderful tour guide Steve could be flexible and make sure we saw more of what we wanted (castles) and adapt our trip for the weather. I would highly recommend Paddywagon Tours. They are the experts for touring in Ireland. Thanks to our guide Steve for being so friendly and hospitable.Written 22 January 2025
- T7255QSkevinb0 contributions10/10 tour and driverI had an excellent time with Sean. Easy pick up/drop off - clear expectations on how the day would play out. Beautiful tour as well - I’d recommend.Written 20 January 2025
- Mac R0 contributionsYou need to experience this...Our driver was Shay. He was really cool and knowledgeable. This is a day excursion that you need to experience. The restaurant we stopped at for a late lunch was amazing (the Guinness pie was exceptional). Of course the Giant's Causeway was our main site, but we stopped at numerous sites before and after, and it was truly a wonderful experience. Each place had it's own charm, too. I highly recommend Paddywagon Tours and will be a repeat customer every time I visit Ireland.Written 20 January 2025
- Georgina D0 contributionsExtremely exceptionalThe driver was extremely exceptional and the trip was amazing. The actual experience was incredible and learnt a lot of the history of Ireland.Written 19 January 2025
- gretchenc3410 contributionsPADDYWAGON 10/01WOW is what we have to say. Richard, our driver, made it all happen. He was the best. The tour was perfectly paced and we heard so much interesting history and personal stories. Music was great (singing welcome). Nothing but great things to say about Richard. Awesome experience.Written 11 January 2025
- brandiva120 contributionsAbsolutely WonderfulI have to say that was the best tour I have ever been on thanks to our lovely bus driver Richard O'Brien. The music was awesome and the insights incredible. Valued his timeliness and communication. His stories were the best part. Highly recommend!Written 6 January 2025
- Armando M0 contributionsI had a great time! Our driver, Richard O’Brien, was a taskmaster, insisting we be on time for departures. That aside, he was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and very entertaining. His driving skills are excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed conversing with him.Written 4 January 2025
- 45kennedyh0 contributionsBus Driver was Amazing; make sure to check weatherThe weather was terrible, and yet the bus driver ensured we had a wonderful time. Even though the bus driver is not supposed to be a tour guide, he had wonderful stories. This turned what may have been an awful day into a good one. For example, Kilkenny Castle was closed due to weather (which was my main reason for booking this trip) but he told us other places we could see, and we stumbled upon an amazing museum! When we got to Glendalough it was very snowy, and so we took a vote on how long we would stay. Most passengers wanted to only stay an hour, (which was unfortunate for me because I was the only person who wanted to stay longer lol). he told us what we could do within an hour. His music was also AMAZING. Overall, I’d recommend checking for inclement weather two days before your tour and possibly cancelling if you really want to see Kilkenny. There wasn’t even snow yet and they had said they would close the day before. However, I’m giving 5 stars because TECHNICALLY it isn’t Paddywagon’s fault but I would have hoped they would keep us updated since the castle had closed the day before.Written 4 January 2025
- rasha12460 contributionsVery badI had a disappointing experience with Paddywagon Tours. After being left without a guide at Glendalough and returning 5 minutes late, we discovered the bus had already left. Another driver we approached was unhelpful and mocked us instead of assisting. Thankfully, Quiggs from Finn McCools Tours came to our rescue, offering us a free ride to Kilkenny and a guided tour, completely turning our day around. While I wouldn’t recommend Paddywagon for their lack of support, I highly commend Quiggs for his kindness and professionalism.Written 4 January 2025
- laurenjR6902MB0 contributionsThank you Richard! Not only was this bus tour filled with beautiful views, but Richard went above and beyond to provide us with history and humor throughout. I appreciated all of the stops we made along the way and this was definitely a highlight of my trip. Thank you!Written 30 December 2024
- 13kaylal0 contributionsWonderful Experience- Shea is the BEST tour guide!Wonderful experience- especially if you’re looking for a trip to the Cliffs without the hassle of renting a car. Stops in a few cute towns along the way which is a nice way to see different areas in Ireland. Our tour guide, Shea, was incredibly kind and friendly- he was also very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions we had. He made the tour very special and simple for us!Written 29 December 2024
- robyn E0 contributionsA definite mustThis was a wonderful trip. The drive there was so lovely. The scenery was gorgeous and the guide/bus driver was very knowledgable and pointed out interesting snippets along the way. The bus was comfortable, and Wicklow was beautiful. The walk in nature was just so refreshing and wonderful And looking at the monastery ruins was fascinating. The museum was great with the highlight being the labyrinth rock, which even on its own was well with the trip. The trip back was lovely in the dark with all the Christmas lights through the small towns on the way home. I highly recommend this trip with Paddywagon which a professional and reliable company to work with.Written 29 December 2024

Belfast did not disapoint
Little did we know we were there during the 11th and the 12th of july which are considered major protestant holiday events. I think this caused Dan who was great to be a bit more of a stickler with the time. I would haved love to spend more than two hours in the Titanic museum but because of the holiday i believe they were closing early
Giants causeway was fantastic. The only thing we missed was the Dark Hedges because of holiday parades and rerouting. The town of Derry was beautiful and a very interesting and complex history. Overall loved the trip

How do I even begin…
The Paddy Wagon tour of Ireland came recommended for an informative and engaging way to explore the country and it delivered in every way. The part I wasn’t expecting was for our guide to feel like family by the end of our 3 day experience. Stevie gave us a trip to remember forever. His engagement with his guest exceeded any expectation. He made an effort to connect with each and every one of us. His banter and loving personality resulted in smiles and laughter for the whole day from all of us. He guided us on all the scenery and activities we encountered so we all were able to have a full impactful experience of Northern Ireland and show us a few extra local attractions that enhanced our trip! At the end of our visit we found ourselves at a tattoo parlour in Galway with matching shamrocks for 5 of us to remember this incredible trip( including my mum for her 70th birthday)! I have fallen in love with Ireland and if I am ever lucky enough to return I would book Paddy Wagon in a heartbeat and make sure to secure Stevie for the most amazing experience !

We went on the 3 Day Tour Of Northern Ireland and it was a great experience. The first day we joined the group that went on a one day tour to Belfast but after that we got on a smaller bus but still with the same guide, Danny. In Belfast we went on an optional Black Cab tour around the city visiting the different quarters where the pro Irish and the pro British people lived. This was a great experience and we learned a lot since the cab drivers were people that knew everything about the history. The hotel we stayed at was nice and comfortable. We walked down town and stumbled on a great place with live music.
The next two days we visited many beautiful places and the Giant Causeway being the biggest Highlight. Of course I find the basalt columns very extraordinary but there are also other rock formations that are very special but not even mentioned. When visiting you should look for the pillow lava next to the hiking path to the columns. The next night we stayed in Derry a town full of history.
One of the highlights of the tour was to listen to our guide Danny telling the history of Ireland by connecting various music to what happened in the past and then play it for us in the bus.

4 Day Northern Ireland Tour
Definitely would not recommend- so unorganised changed the itinerary without any mention to us. We paid for a service and places we wanted to visit totally unacceptable. Economy accommodation was terrible. Go with another company!

It is a poorly organized and implemented way of moving people from one point to another. My 82 year husband had to lug our luggage on and off the bus. We were never sure if we had a place to sleep until the last minute. Information was limited about each day's itinerary. At one hotel the elevator was not working properly and we carried luggage upstairs on our own. No tour help around. Even our original pick up point was iffy and unsure. There own survey site will not respond to negative comments. Say no more.

Very disappointing trip. I have used Paddywagon Tours before in Killarney, Co.Kerry last year and was very happy with the tour that is why I was very surprised that the 3 day trip of Northern Ireland was not what was advertised. The tour did not visit The Dark Hedges and we did not stay the night in Letterkenny. Instead we stayed two nights in Belfast and the bus then went onto Galway. I will not be using Paddywogan Tours again.

Never again will I tour, or ride, with Paddywagon. Having to tolerate Freddie the driver’s temperamental arrogance over a 3-day tour was invasive and cancelled out any good points of his work. As other reviewers have noted, Freddie is quite enamored with himself and makes the tour more about him than the sites through ingratiating passengers with his charming personality, exclusive knowledge of history and annoying behavior like scaring sheep by honking his horn at them, criticizing different nationalities, pointing out who on the bus has brains and who doesn’t, making lewd comments about people on the street, honking the horn at them and saying that they admit to the lewd comment if they wave back, screaming over the mic, running his playlist of tunes very loudly and informing the bus of the “size” of Galway men, which must have been awkward for the parents traveling with young children on the bus. This all grated after a while, but the worst of it was his petty manipulation through inviting participation but only on his terms and if the participation was not on his terms then his humiliating the participator publicly in front of everyone on the bus. This and his condescending behavior towards me and some of the other women bordered on abusive. I could not wait to get off the bus in Galway. Richard, the other driver who did the return trip back to Dublin, was not much better, not thinking twice about leaving passengers behind and pandering for tips and favorable reviews on TripAdvisor “even if you have to lie,” so I suspect that this issue stems from poor management practices within the company. Nevertheless, Paddywagon drivers, listen up: that you are bored and underpaid in no way justifies your moaning and groaning and being uncivil to passengers. These drivers are miserable and “dishing it out” to customers, so stay away from this company if you would like to sustain your happiness, feelings of good will and fondness for Ireland. There’s a reason why these immature lads are not getting any tips. “What goes around comes around,” as the saying goes. I am telling all of my friends about the experience with Paddywagon and mentioned it to local Irish as well. It is likely that this company does not care about how its customers are being mistreated because it is difficult to find drivers when you load them up with huge tours and do not compensate them very well for their work.

I really enjoyed my 3-day tour of Belfast, Derry and Galway before returning to Dublin. Our driver/guide Danny was super knowledgeable, funny, and engaging, and had a lot of great recommendations for the places we visited - I'd take a tour with him again any day. The included visits (Titanic Experience, etc.) were really interesting. We got to see a few off-the-beaten path locations as well, and learned about Irish and Northern Irish history along the way. Day 3 (Derry > short stop in Galway > Dublin) was a lot of driving and not much sightseeing, but overall it was a worthwhile experience. The hotels we stayed at in Belfast and Derry were very nice as well.
