Day trip to Glen Finnan, Fort William and Glen Coe
Excellent day trip with an experienced driver who went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic day. The trip was advertised as historical but was brought up to date with some references to Harry Potter filming sites which increased its relevance for me personally

All the locations were amazing. However if it’s possible, Charlie, the driver/guide was even more amazing. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and entertaining! 10/10!

    Great day out!
The tour was fantastic, we set off from Glasgow, our tour operator David was very knowledgeable and was very entertaining, he made the tour even more fantastic, thank you David!!! It was a long day with plenty to do and we stopped at plenty of places for pictures and refreshments etc. We even had the option to book Loch Ness boat cruise ticket on the bus, so we were guaranteed seats before we got there. The ticket prices were the same as well, so it was 100% worth it. We learnt a lot about the history of Scotland and lots of interesting trivia, even a Scottish song or two! Even though there was the possibility that we weren’t able to complete the desired route due to weather, David gave us plenty of other options just in case. Luckily, the roads were good enough to travel on, so no need for alternative routes. There is no better way to explore the highlands for this price, I would highly recommend!

A smile, a wave, some carrots and a whole lot of laughs from the original Jasmine
Had an absolutely amazing day with our tour guide Stevie (not Jasmine) he made the whole experience something to remember with a wave to the QEUH where my companion unfortunately had to experience NHS care and food missing our tour. We had plenty of stops and even got to get up close with Highland cattle. The history of Stirling Castle is very eventful well worth the admission price and they have free guided tours. The surrounding town immediately around the castle is well worth wandering around.

The Highlands are beautiful, but Stevie our guide made it all worth much more! All in all absolutely worth the money!
I have to start by saying that we were so fortunate to have Stevie as our absolutely wonderful guide -- and who also doubled and tripled up as our driver and resident comedian! From our first interaction in the morning to our last goodbye 12 hours later, Stevie was as charming and full of energy. I can describe the stops and natural beauty along the tour, but you can read the itinerary yourself. It's all very well planned out and gives you a glimpse of all Scotland has to offer. Highly recommend it. However, if you're booking directly with Timberbush, ask for Stevie! He's what makes it worth it! (And no, this isn't a paid ad for him, although we're waxing lyrical about him.) Stevie is extremely knowledgeable about Scottish history, culture, nature, and even its geology! He'll pepper you with a wonderful running commentary throughout the first half and then give you time to relax during the second. He sprinkles in some very very funny anecdotes as well. He makes it all so much fun, and his humour is so self-deprecating and wry that you get more than you hope for! He's fun but also very professional. Gives you space too. We've never had a better guide. Stevie's boss: he's an asset to your company, and pay him all the bonuses you can; he deserves it 🙏🏽 And Stevie, if you're reading this, thanks a million, from your friends from Nepal (and no we weren't bored by your supposed 'mountains' 😁). We were struck by what you said at the end of the tour. That we'll likely never meet again, but have a wonderful life. I wish you the same mate. Was a pleasure. Kundan and Smriti from Nepal

    Disaster
Sadly the coach left without us despite our explanation that we were stuck in Glashow traffic and arrived just minutes after it left. Very disappointing and no refund was offered. Never will I recommend your company and will advise all travel agents in Australia of our experience.

Van tour to Highlands and Loch Ness with Koos
We had a wonderful day with our driver David (wee Davey as he refers to himself) and two other couples. We started the day off with an enthusiastic greeting. David kept us informed and entertained with a running commentary all day long. We passed from Glasgow through the highlands and finished at Loch Ness (no Nessie unfortunately). He provided us with plenty of stops for photos, bathroom breaks and finally a family of three koos (Highland Cows). Highly recommend for anyone. and we look forward to doing again.

    Great experience
Great experience to see the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. Stewart was very informative and friendly. I learned a lot about Scottish heritage, the geography, and environmental efforts. Did not feel rushed at any of the stopping points. Would recommend you brings some snacks. There are places in Fort Augustus as well as Pitlochry to get meals. FYI. The Loc Ness boat tour now accepts credit card payments.

    At least once in life
One of the best scenarios that I have seen in my life, special appreciation to the guider Simba, he makes the tour interesting, telling stories of the places, naming all the mountains that we see, recommending places to eat and have a better experience, he was the best, dressed like the typical Scottish suit. Apart from the magnificent guider, all the places that I visited were spectacular, the Loch Lomond, Glencoe Mountains, if you have luck you could see some deers near the trip, the crown jewel, the loch Ness and the place of Fort Augustus, if you can you could take the cruise in the loch and try to find the monster, plenty of gifts shops in the place, after that instead of coming from the same way, the guider take other route to see some village (beautiful) and other landscape to watch, also have the opportunity to see the typical highlands cows in one of the stops. By the way, is a tour that I will never forget, thank you Simba, you were the best.

I’m writing this while traveling back to Glasgow on a Citylink bus I hired this morning….the 2nd day of the Isle of Skye tour I paid for yesterday. I realize the weather was overcast/raining some then BUT I know other Tour guides STOP for photos regardless & leave it up to passengers whether to get out. I’d hurt my knee & wouldn’t have been able to walk much & was going to stay in Portree taking my time sightseeing (dark when we arrived). But last night after we’d been dropped at our hotels I realized I needed (important) things from my bag (on bus) so I texted the Guide & evidently that was asking too much. He finally said he’d meet me in the square in 5….it was raining harder but I walked/limped as fast as I could so as not to aggravate. Found him sitting in bus while I was getting soaked. He took bag out (roller type but heavy) and I proceeded UPHILL with it. A young man stopped me & said to let him help, got it to hotel and asked if I wanted it brought in….I thought he worked for them! The people at Tongadale Hotel were awesome also. A young waitress carried my bag upstairs before I could stop her! So there were 2 people being considerate without it being their ‘place’ to do so. To me, that & being told the Itenerary was ‘ outdated and probably from the summer’ (the reason we didn’t make some stops) along with loud music being played half of the way, it all set the tone for how the next few days would be, so I went online and booked a bus to Glasgow. I’m actually getting beautiful pictures from my window so the money spent on the Expensive Tour isn’t entirely wasted…..I’m trying to ‘making lemonade’! 😊.
The Highlands/Skye area were the Main places I wanted to visit while in Scotland….and it didn’t happen, at least not the way I envisioned it. The other passengers were all of a culture I’m familiar with and will not question anything much less complain. I do feel bad for them today.

Hi Melody, I’ve had a look on our coach tracking system and can see that the driver did stop at most of the scheduled stops on day one of the tour with enough time for people to get on and off the coach. After speaking to the driver-guide on the tour it’s clear to me that he went above and beyond what he needed to do on this occasion. You asked for your luggage to be kept on the coach, then changed your mind (due to realising you left something important in there) and asked the driver-guide to take your luggage to you during his rest time. After a long day of driving he suggested that, if you were comfortable with it, he could take the smaller bag to you instead of your larger luggage that was heavy. He then sent you a message saying he could meet you at Somerled Square, which you agreed to. As the road your hotel was situated on is a one-way road he could not get any closer to your hotel. Our driver-guides are entitled to rest time outside of the tour hours, Kenny went above and beyond this to organise getting your luggage to you. There are some parts of the itinerary that may not be suitable in the dark, or attractions that may close in the winter. This is what our driver-guide would have been trying to explain. Had you contacted us directly we would have been able to help you and sort it all in house. I hope you got to see some of Skye despite choosing not to take the second day of our tour as it is beautiful. Best Wishes, Jodie

The trip in general is well planned. Despite my last minute booking, Timberbush was able to accommodate me and help me with booking the accommodation. My guide, Kenny, was extremely helpful and punctual the whole trip. He's got a whole playlist going on, and an unchallenged knowledge and passion for Scottish history, which he spent hours filling us with (I might have fallen asleep at some parts though, sorry Kenny! ;> )

Despite the unprecedented technical issues with our bus that caused significant delays during the last day, Kenny was integral in keeping our spirits up and ensuring that we were able to hit our bucket lists (albeit a shorter time spent). I highly recommend travelling with Timberbush when looking for travel around the Scottish Highlands and I look forward to traveling with Timberbush again.

Hi there, thank you for your review! I'm so glad to hear you had a great experience on tour with us and with Kenny as your driver-guide. I'm sure he won't be offended that you fell asleep, the 3 days on Skye can be pretty action packed and the coaches are very comfortable - it's bound to happen eventually! I'm sorry to hear that there were some issues on your last day but it's great that Kenny was able to ensure you still had a great time. We look forward to seeing you again as well! As an independent solo traveller , this is one of the few tours I have joined since on the road years ago  . It turned out to be a very good experience.

Timberbush tour is a well organized tour company- they keep me informed from hotel booking to the amended departure date. They offered the fair price with many options for the hotel and restaurant recommendations.

Most importantly the tour guide / driver gentleman called Euan is fantastic , Clearly shows that he is well prepared and fulfilled the entire trip with his rich insight knowledge , clear speaking and  enthusiastic polite manner . He shows true caring to us  by playing  the selected folks songs, even the story of the famous myth of  Inverness monster .  I have learnt so much during the 3 days tour . Thank you Euan!

Highland is an amazing place . I highly recommend it.

This tour was amazing. Andrew.J our tour guide was really well prepared and a lot of fun. You know a good guide when you can actually feel that he loves the place he's living and working from the heart. And the stories of Scotland during the long travels whilst on the road were also great. Obviously going to Skye in the winter season is a gamble because of short daylight and unintended weather like sudden snow but the view of it all with snowy scenary made it even more great than I would have imagined. Skye was a beautiful Isle and if able would love to just book this tour again at a different or even just to look it up for all ffour seasons it was fantastic.

I went on the 3 day isle of sky trip and it was fantastic. Our guide Neil was the best guide we could have hoped for. Seriously 10/10 guide! He was super knowledgeable, friendly, patient and accommodating and also really funny! The weather was pretty rainy on the full day in Skye but Neil still made it work and we all still had a really fun time. Would 1000% recommend!

We chose the three day to Isle of Skye, The Highlands & Loch Ness Tour. Kenny was an amazing guide. We found ourselves in the middle of autumn in torrential rain and even then he showed us a great time. He has great knowledge of the Scottish story and history to share and great music so we could have a full experience! All in all, I truly recommend the tour and if you could ask, ask for Kenny. Great person, great guide and sincerely happy to share what he knows.

This tour was great and I highly recommend it! Our guide Neil was amazing, he has so much great local and historical information and really tailored the experience to be the best possible. He was extremely accommodating and charming. Though we did a decent amount of driving it was split up in a way to not make it feel too long. The areas we explored were absolutely breathtaking. We also booked our own accommodations and we’re really happy with our Airbnb we found.

What a fantastic 3 days we spent exploring the highlands and the isle of skye. The tour was superbly organised by Jenny from Rabbie’s who drove us to all those stunning scenery and mountains. Skye was also so memorable with its impeccable landscapes and the time we spent on its cliffs is unforgettable.
This tour is a must to all nature lovers.

I am to this day blown away by the sites I saw on this trip. We had luck to have beautiful sunny days in order to fully enjoy the *short* hikes and some your mates even got to swim 😆 we had the most wonderful guide, Brian, who told the best stories and dad jokes. His music taste was on par and his energy and love of Scotland was easily picked up on by us all. (ask for Brian as your guide- you won’t regret it). I’ve made friendships with the other tour goers and all in all it was a beautiful trip with the loveliest of people. The accommodations and food stops were all delicious and inclusive as well. There was non stop fun. This trip made me deeply appreciate the beauty of Scotland and all it has to offer!
